I went in there recently to buy a wrench to tweak the saddle height on my bike and was not too amused. One of the employees made it clear that he didn't want me working on my bike there, which I wasn't planning to do. My plan was to buy the wrench and work on the bike outside. The guy at the checker did not seem too knowledgeable or interested in helping. I went in there expecting them to take a look at the part I wanted to work on and to be given some advice on how to take it on. I left with a wrench that did not help me with the repair i needed, and was told that I could not return the tool even though I had purchased it about 2 minutes before. I don't typically leave reviews, but I hope that this can motivate small shops like this one to continue to do all that they can when someone comes in requesting some guidance. My experience today made me feel less guilty of buying things online rather than supporting small mom and pop shops like this one, which i admit, sucks to say...

The WORST store in New York. A couple of years ago I went and had a key made and it didn't work and…read morethe jerk owner said he was the best key maker in town (Uh. No. That's Greenwich Locksmiths on 7th Ave S) and said there was no way the key didn't work. It didn't. I left it with him since he refused to give mw my money back and the key didn't work so it's not like he could use it. I've refused to go in there even though it's right next door since then. Until today. That guy is THE WORST. Everyone in the neighborhood talks about how much he sucks and that we all walk the extra block to Garber, but man I forgot how much I hate that guy until I ran in today. Do not shop here. They're horrible people and it's way more expensive than the good hardware stores. (Also their address is wrong. Presumably to confuse people who want to write bad reviews.
