food was good, seating was comfortable with choice inside or outside. thought it was a little odd the servers and the manager were not trained on the menu items. Asked our server to describe the various wing sauces and he did not know. Asked about another item with a unique name and he did not know that one either. said his manager did not know either as they were only open for 2 days. read more

Jeremiah's Tavern re-opened after remodeling. The menu was also revised, now definitely more like pub food. Two nights ago, on a frigid night, a friend and I went for a pint and some food. Two Guinness Stouts warm us up. Also soups, Boston Chowda (good and meaty) served with oyster crackers. So good. My friend got the Onion Soup Crock. She loved it. We shared Steak Quesadilla and Garlic Broccoli. Very satisfying meal. Service was friendly and attentive. read more

Ordered wings from there last night: two different flavors. Both were terrible; couldn't tell the difference between the two flavors because there was NO flavor to them. Think they omitted any kind of sauce. Ordered 30, and only 5 got eaten (by 5 people). Very, very disappointing!!!! Never again! read more

I am pretty sure this will fall on deaf ears as that is how it is these days but I will go through the motions of providing my feedback about your new Greece location. My wife and I like to go bar/restaurants on a weekly basis for a drink and some food. We live on the westside and will venture as far as the eastside for a great place with a great atmosphere, great service, and great food. We were excited to know you were opening in Greece and we looked forward to trying you out. All I can say is that we were completely underwhelmed in every way; Location: You are gambling by opening in the black hole - that specific area is where businesses go to die. Getting in and out is a bit of a pain and the entire complex looked deserted and beat down. You have a cheesy looking "Now Open" sign, a ton of bar stools on the side of the building, and the landscaping and first "pull up" impression gives off a low-end vibe. Greeting: Confusing and disorganized. Nobody seemed to know what was going on and it felt awkward walking in. The female who greeted us was fine but she was not happy when we requested a 4 top just outside of the bar. She looked around, became quite, kept looking at some paperwork on the podium and eventually sat us at an 8 top as far away from the bar and the table we requested as possible. We have no idea why as the place was pretty dead. Service: No waiter/waitress was assigned to us. We sat there until someone happened to be walking by and asked if we were helped. We said no so she took our drink order. We wanted to look at the menu but were rushed because the kitchen was "back up" and if we wanted wings we had to put the order in at that moment so we did. Nobody returned to our table until a kid from the kitchen brought our appetizer. He did not say a word, put the food on the table, and walked away. We did not even receive plates! I got up and found an employee and asked for plates, a few minutes later we received them. We felt like a burden, not appreciated customers spending money. When we ordered the wings we asked if they came with celery, carrots, and blue cheese and were told yes. When the wings arrived (same kid, same drop the food and leave) we were surprised to see 2 tiny pieces of celery, no carrots, and the blue cheese was cut with sour cream so much so that it diluted the taste. The wings were "good" but far from "Award Winning" as promoted on the menu. Atmosphere: Bland, boring, and confusing. It felt like a cafeteria hall. Nothing on the walls, bland colors, and a very confusing and uncomfortable layout. The beer menu looked like some little kid made it on a typewriter which was in line with entire atmosphere. Again, I know this will fall on deaf ears and that is fine. Everyone seems to think they have it all figured out and the days of providing some level of customer service are over. I get it and am fine with it as we have other places we can go to spend our money. I know a bit about your industry as it pertains to customer acquisition costs and more importantly, the impact 2nd and 3rd visits make. Sadly, we are your ideal demographic yet have no desire to return based on everything mentioned. As a person who owns multiple businesses, I do wish you success with your new location but history proves conclusive when it comes to that area and this type of service. read more

I love coming here for lunch! There's so many food options, the portions are large, the prices are fair and the service is always super friendly. I especially love their wraps. The shrimp po boy and turkey bacon avocado wraps are my favorites and they are very filling. Highly recommend checking this place out as it may become your new favorite spot too. read more

Wings are great service is fine. I can't stand that they don't switch back to music during commercials. Listening to commercials at full blast during the bills games is honestly completely obnoxious. Also they don't play the shout song after a bills touch down fake bills fans here. read more

Came here with a group on a weekday. It was a strange mixture of table service and bar service (we were forgotten for about 10 minutes when we were told that someone would come right away, but there were a few people who just went up and ordered at the bar and were able to). Tried a variety of things including buffalo chicken dip (best tasting thing there), curly fries (can't go wrong) and poutine with bacon. The poutine was just okay but wasn't a standout. The group ended up going to order at the bar for various things. read more

Food used to be excellent. It wasn't bad but it also wasn't great like I remember it about 10 years ago living on the Avenue. Ambiance is as what you would expect from a sports bar. The service was okay. My boyfriend had to stand up in order to get his water refilled. I'll try coming back for the wings to see if it's better! read more

Stopped here for lunch, there are a couple of locations and this one is the original. We normally go to the one closest to our house. Parking here is either on the street or behind the restaurant. The wife had a burger and I had the Reuben sandwich with fries and a side of gravy. First her burger was cooked to perfection and her onion rings were large and crispy. My Reuben sandwich was by far the best I have had in years. I know you're saying it's a Reuben, well for those that order them, many times it comes so soggy that it is difficult to eat. This was perfect, the rye bread was toasted and it contained just the right amount of meat, kraut, and dressing. Also the gravy was to die for. Made from beef drippings and not from a powder. It was rich and so flavorful. Plenty of seating and lots of TVs, an expansive draft beer selection makes this place a go to for watching sporting events. Our waiter Josh was very attentive and made sure we were properly cared for. Can't beat this tavern if looking for a place to watch a game, have great food and an awesome beer selection. read more

I got turkey burger it had no taste kinda blah no seasoning at all . I put salt n pepper to help. Asked for extra crispy fries first time out not crispy second time still not third time finally! The fries were good after third try n dry rub wings were good at least. I don't recommend Turkey burger unless u like no flavor. Staff was friendly. read more

The atmosphere was great, easy to get to and from on the local bus line. Been craving fish and chips, so I ordered them here. The batter was crispy and flavorful without being soggy, and the fish itself was flaky and perfectly cooked. Fries were well seasoned, which I always enjoy. Staff was cheerful and helpful. However, since I'm 18 I can't comment on the bar area. Overall, 5 out of 5, will come back. read more

One of my favorite restaurants. Very diverse menu and fast service. The ambience is a bit noisy, but it also can help if you're having a private conversation (can't be overheard ). Parking can be a bit difficult but there's some parking behind the building or on the streets. read more

I went here with a Rochester native on the recommendation that it had the best wings in town. The experience did not live up to this billing. We did get a wing platter which came with curly fries and come corn bread. The wings were boneless so essentially amounted to bite sized chicken fingers. Just meh. They were also kind of soaking in a pool of the sauce rather than having been cooked in it so the flavor was uneven. We also got a nacho platter to share and it also was kind of meh. Not much in terms of veggies or toppings, just chips bathed in cheese sauce (and some actual cheese). He waitresses also forgot to put in the order so we got them super late. This place is a local favorite so maybe they just had a down night. But in our visit the best I can say is subpar pub food. read more

I've been here a few times, and it's definitely hit or miss depending on what you order. The Ruben I ordered last time was good, but not amazing. This time I got the Tavern Pretzels for an appetizer, New England clam chowder as a side and the Buffalo Chicken Mac'n Cheese as my entree. - The pretzel was a bit dry and tough, but the beer cheese and honey mustard were good. - The clam chowder was good and hearty, but may have been a bit over cooked. - The Buffalo Mac'n Cheese was the big letdown. The cheese was basically velveeta with a splash of buffalo sauce that was poured over some pasta the had strips of chicken mixed in. Then they added some seasoned bread crumbs on top. For a place known for their chicken wings, I expected much more for their Bufffalo Chicken Mac. If you go here, definitely stick to the wings or bar sandwiches. read more

I've been here twice after a rip roaring game of kickball; once with a small group, the second with a larger group. Bar service here is pretty standard. Staff was friendly and attentive, promptly removing empty plates from the table. For my first visit I ordered Chicken Fingers and Fries. The fingers were not my speed. They tasted like store bought Tyson Chicken Tenders. The fries were good though. Crispy and fluffy. For my second visit, I ordered the 1/2 Team of wings (medium). I heard they have the best wings in Rochester so as a Buffalo native I had to try them. They were good but far from the best I've ever had. Standard wing and standard medium sauce. As per usual for me, I had to try the desserts. I split a Brownie Sundae and Warm Apple Crisp with a friend. The brownie was soft and chocolatey. The Apple Crisp was both sweet and tart. Both desserts were delicious but if I had to choose one over the other, it'd have to be the brownie. I'm not likely to return on my own but wouldn't be opposed to stop by for drinks. read more

Good ambiance. The manny melt was good. The wings were good. The fish n' chips were good yummy.

I just love Jeremiah's. They have the best wings in the area IMO. The Nawleans blues sauce is outta this world! It's a combo of buffalo sauce, Cajun, and chunky blue cheese. The best. Their sandwiches are always good too, I lean towards a Rueben or French dip. Oh and their curly fries!! Yum. I've never had bad food here. The staff is always extremely friendly, at all locations. Awesome beer selections too. My only note is that during Covid prices have increased a bit, but I guess that's to be expected at a lot of places now. But I'll still pay top dollar for the best wings!!! read more

Takeout review The kids both got wings, two different flavors, and they were both happy. Reviews said they were good here, and I guess they are (these are two kids who know good wings from bad). My wife and I each got Pork Schnitzel Sandwich, which sounded good with "lemon garlic mayo and arugula," but it turned out to be just bread, with bread-coated meat inside, no lemon, garlic, or arugula registering anywhere. I mean, we could see white stuff with green flecks in it, we just couldn't taste anything but bread and salt. $14 each. Service was friendly and prompt, and maybe we just ordered a clunker (although if something's not your best dish, maybe don't advertise it on instagram?). If we go back and order something better, I'll pack on more stars. read more

We have ordered from Jeremiah's 5-6 times, each time hoping that it will satisfy a late night burger craving. Each time we have been entirely disappointed. One of those times they totally botched our order, we called them back and they offered future dinning credit which when we tried to redeem the waitstaff said couldn't be done because the manager was not present. The sides are always skimpy-unsatisfying portions that leave us wanting more. The burgers themselves are pedestrian. The meat unseasoned, the toppings haphazardly tossed on with insufficient amounts. Safe to say we will not be making this mistake again (at least any time soon). read more

Jeremiah's went WAY downhill. It used to be my go-to great wing place from the 1980's - 2020 but no more. The Catatanic wings are now dry, bland and way overpriced. My forehead used to pleasantly sweat from the Catatonics, now a peppered butter sauce would taste better. I got stung by a bee while waiting forever for service and they were more worried about liablity than just getting me ice for the bee welts. They got my order wrong and still charged me for the mistake. The eating area feels more like an expensive McDonald's than a good old fashioned tavern, like it used to be. Good ridance, Jeremiah's after 30+ years. read more

Fish fry review ONLY- an $18 disappointment. Medium sized serving of fish tossed on top of a few soggy grainy steak fries. I will say the fish was flaky and not dry which was a win. Some seasoning would have gone a long way! It certainly left one wanting more. The coleslaw has pineapple in it which gives an interesting flavor. Reminds me of pineapple cottage cheese. Tartar sauce was fine. read more

My friends and I went to the Penfield Jeremiah's over the weekend, I ordered the breaded shrimp wrap and a salad with honey dijon dressing. The wrap was good, but it was tiny, with not near enough shrimp to constitute the $16 they charged. The salad was fine, dressing was tasty. Nothing special about a salad that clearly came out of a pre-made mix. Food was decent but the portions were tiny and way over priced. The place wasn't busy but service was still quite slow. read more

My first time at Jeremiah's Tavern was about a year ago with my grandma. Then comes a night when me and my roommate are trying to find somewhere to eat. We ask some people and they recommend Jeremiah's Tavern out of a few others and I'm like I've been there it's pretty good. So we go there and I am once again reminded of how good it is. I've now order a few more times from different locations. Every time I do the food is consistently good and served by nice employees.
