The owner is the sweetest (bakery joke) and had a wonderful conversation about being gluten free! I went to the Boston Public Market location. I love to find GF bakeries when I travel, so I went searching to try this place. Unfortunately, I think I was there on a bad day. I arrived mid-morning on a Wednesday. There was a limited selection and none of it looked inviting. I fact, the few choices looked dry, as if they sat a long time. I chose the coffee cake and all the edges were very hard and dry. After 2 bites, I had to toss it out. It was clearly old and/or overcooked. I hope I just was there on an off day. read more

I almost missed finding this place because it is tucked on the side of Boston Public Market near the water fountain/restrooms. As someone with a sweet tooth, I was excited to try their vegan array of baked goods, and ended up getting a peach cupcake, cookie dough cupcake, and coffee cake blondie (total $16). The cupcake was quite sweet and dense, and after a long work out, it was just the treat that I needed. The coffee cake blondie didn't have a strong coffee flavor, but it was still quite good and had a nice crumbly topping. I think since the products are also gluten free, they don't have the soft fluffy structure of other desserts. I didn't mind it though and will be recommending this place to my friends who are curious to branch out! read more

Was craving donuts on the way home from work, I popped in and the cupcakes easily caught my eye. Didn't know it was vegan, which explains the not so sugary taste in the chocolate chip cookie. The Red Velvet's frosting was nice and sweet though. The Boston Creme was hard to taste because my cupcakes got hard during the train ride home (not their fault, it was very cold that night). I thought I ordered a 4th item, but guess the staff couldn't hear me under my layers. Oh well, it's on the way home, so I look forward to trying more things! read more

Mom of kids with multi ana-allergies, so been wanting to try this place for a long time! It wasn't clear where this place was, on the website... Super convenient if taking the T. Public market is right next to the Haymarket T stop. Turn right at the entrance and walk straight down to the last stand. Arrived shortly before noon on a Friday. Bummed they ran out of the sausage sandwich, so tried the Bbq Jack. A 10min wait to heat up. Kids didn't prefer the bbq flavor but still ate a good portion. I liked it. Crazy it is jackfruit! The birthday blondie is really good. We would def get again. Kids also really liked the chocolate donut and cupcake (but both a bit too dense/cakey for me). I think the chocolate frosting/drizzle really won them over. Happy to get it again for kiddos. A pass for the pricey strawberry cannoli. Wished I got something different... a good try and effort. None of us liked it, but really depends on preferences. The chocolate dip on it was good. Waffle part was a bit too dense, hard and chewy. like others said, filling is more like frosting. It had an odd aftertaste. The texture is close, but lacked any savory cheesy flavor you'd expect. I wish they'd put the cleaning supplies away... but I still give it a 4star as it's a rare gem and positive normalizing experience for the kids. We have not found any other bakery shop that can be completely top 9allergen free, where kiddos could order whatever they wanted without worrying about a life threatening reaction. My partner and I were on our second morning of exploring the Boston area and wanted to get the day started out with a sustaining meal. After a quick search for food at a location central to our explorations, we landed at Boston Public Market and Jennifer Lee's Bakery. The market was just opening up and there were fewer people there than what we were expecting on a Friday morning. The service was friendly and courteous. I got the Spicy Avocado Sammich which was just right. The bread was nicely toasted, the avocado was perfectly ripe, the pickled onions were great, nice amount of mayo and the chickpea egg patty was a refreshing alternative to the more commonly used "egg substitute" in similar sandwiches. I would have applauded another half handful of greens, though that's a minor complaint. My "better half" got the Chipotle Chik'n Ranch Panini. I tried it and it was really good. The jack fruit chik'n was so flavorful. The rest of the ingredients were nicely balanced, excepting perhaps a bit more lettuce for the extra crunch. . . we're a greens family. Next time we visit, we're looking forward to trying their renowned cannoli. As someone with celiac who eats strictly gluten-free, I'm always on the hunt for desserts that are safe for me to eat since I have such a big sweet tooth! I passed by this bakery booth while browsing Boston Public Market and had to give their treats a try! When I was there on a weekend afternoon, their display case looked a little empty (not too sure how often they re-stock) but there was still a fair amount of selection to choose from - I saw some brownies, blondies, donuts, and cannolis. To be perfectly honest, I felt like the brownies/blondies were worth my money the most, given their sheer size and they had some interesting flavors! I went with the cookie monster brownie and the birthday cake blondie. I think given the fact that this bakery is top 9 allergen-free AND vegan, these treats are great! While I wish the textures of the blondie and brownie were a bit denser/fudgier, and the treats could've been a little bit sweeter for my preference, I know I really can't complain too much based on their ingredients. Between the two, I preferred the birthday cake blondie a little bit more. I couldn't really taste the cookie dough that was supposedly mixed in within the cookie monster brownie and even the chocolate flavor was a little bit light. Overall, however, I still have to give props to this bakery - it is definitely not easy to bake desserts that are able to accommodate such a wide variety of dietary restrictions and I'm pretty impressed by the prices, since it often feels like anything that's gluten-free is *ridiculously* overpriced!! read more

A very good all vegan bakery. In the Boston Public Market you can get all kinds of plant based sweets. Jennifer Lee's is just one of the doughnut places in here, but this one is better because it's all vegan. Get other treats like brownies and cookies. The prices aren't that bad for this. It also prides itself on being allergen free. Products don't contain gluten. They of course have no dairy either so it's good for all kinds of dietary needs and preferences. Friendly and helpful employees know a lot about the ingredients. Prices are okay considering it's a specialty thing. It's $3.50 for a doughnut. We were in town for a birthday and one person in our party has multiple allergies. Vegan bakeries are hard to find but glad we found this one! We went that afternoon to purchase cupcakes, I had to try the lemon raspberry one. The texture of the cupcake was awesome, I didn't want to believe it is gluten free! The mix of flour Jennifer issues is awesome, light, airy and not dense. The frosting was not sweet at all, lots of lemon flavor and airy. Also tried the chocolate, vanilla and cookie dough cupcakes, all were fantastic. The next day we had to go back to try the cannolis, they were sold out by the time we got there and tried the whoopie pie. Once again pleasantly surprised but the texture of the cake and the filling was not sweet at all. Perfect afternoon snack on a summer day. Finally tried the cannoli our last day, it was awesome. Person with allergy in our group had never had one and was so happy this was this option. Loved every bite. I read so much about how great her baked items were and decided to give her shop a try. As a vegan and baker myself, I was sadly disappointed. I ordered a red velvet cupcake. Upon first tasting the frosting, it was crusted over and overtly sweet without any hint of a cream cheese flavor. If this was meant to be the original ermine frosting, it failed at that as well. The cupcake itself was hard topped, stiff and dense. While I do understand this is gluten free, I have never baked anything gluten in my life that was this hard and dense. This cupcake was not springy at all and when pressed, the oil impression is quite evident. Maybe this was an off day for the baker? I was in Boston for a redsox game and I really wanted to get a GF doughnut because they don't have any selections where I live. I went on google and yelp and found this little shop. Everyone raved about it, so I figured I'd give it a try. It took a little bit to find it in the Boston market since they were tucked in the corner. I understand I got there 30 minutes before they closed so I get why they didn't have a large selection. I ordered a vanilla doughnut and a coffee cake blondie. I am genuinely not impressed. As a GF person I have had better sweet treats I've made at home. It was too dense and not very sweet. The blondie was way too soggy/chewy. I want to give them some slack because they are allergen friendly to a multitude of ingredients and maybe it would be better if I went earlier in the day. The lady at the counter was rushing and she was not personable and when I was checking out before I could even fully pay she moved onto the next customer. I drove 30 minutes out of the way for this and I spent $28 on parking for 22 minutes for a very mediocre treat. I wouldn't make my way back there unfortunately. read more

She also offered a bag for the lady in front of me but looked at me funny when I asked for one. I bought a cannoli and a brownie for almost $12. I thought since it's a allergen free bakery the was price justified as long as they tasted good. The cannoli was so overly sweet I couldn't finish it. The filling was just pure sugar. Funny enough the brownie was almost not sweet enough and it wasnt as chocolatey as a brownie should be, it was also greasy on the bottom. This is a review for the gluten free, dairy free, nut free cinnamon roll. I have been gluten free for at least 2 years - possibly 3. I have tried so many bad gluten free cinnamon rolls. This has hands down been the best one. The dough had a tangy, yeasty flavor which is something you rarely taste in gluten free, it paired perfectly with the sweet glaze on top.
