The ice cream is absolutely phenomenal! The pumpkin was my favorite, followed closely by the peanut butter cookie?? I forgot what it was called, but like pb oreo. I loved my pumpkin shake!!! Kiana was super helpful, as well.

Obsessed with Fomu! I'm so bummed they closed a lot of their locations, particularly the Alston store but I came to this one to get a birthday cake. The storefront is very small but I was still happy they had a good selection of cakes and baked goods. The cake was the chocolate chip cookie dough and was wonderful. I loved the creaminess of the ice cream and how each piece had a cookie piece on top. I also love the icing. I just wish they had the ability to special order or at the very least write on the cake! Regardless, I highly recommend a trip here!

This was the worst ice cream experience I have ever had. It is an earth centered ice cream place, bud that is not advertised. I arrived expecting a nice normal ice cream, but instead got a crappy ingredient ice cream that sucked. It was overpriced, as it was 12 dollars for a small portion. The worker said it would be good and it was a terribly place. The place was too cramped and it wasn't even full. it was way too small for an ice cram shop. Never go there. most expensive ice cream and worst ever. My frappe tasted like a burt cigarette butt. Also, there was trash and leaves in my frappe

Some of the best vegan ice cream I've ever had. I'm visiting from out of town and my friend who's been before made sure we stopped by. I tried a couple flavors before deciding on getting the birthday cake & the peanut butter cookies & creme (basically, I forget what they call it). Anyways I was so pleased to see they had whipped cream and waffle cones too. The staff was so friendly and patient as I struggled to decide my flavors. It's a cute spot. I definitely recommend & would love to return!

Mini scoop peanut butter chocolate chip ($5.50). Tasty. Great texture.

FoMu is a vegan ice cream chain and I stumbled upon this location near Fenway. I got a mini scoop of peanut butter chocolate chip ($5.50) and loved the creaminess and the subtle sweetness. Stop by FoMu for a great scoop of ice cream.

Decent dairy-free ice cream if you like coconut or don't mind it. The coconut milk base is discernible in most flavors and imparts a slightly slimy texture to the otherwise rich & dense ice cream. I like that you can combine 2 flavors in a single cup, even for the smallest size (mini). Flavors I've tried: - Blueberry Shortbread (4.5/5): coconut flavor pairs surprisingly well with the blueberry swirl and vanilla-flavored base. Shortbread chunks yummy too. - Grasshopper Pie (4/5): mint chip, fortunately with only subtle coconut notes. - Apple Cider Donut (3.5/5): prominent coconut flavor drowns out the apple cider-flavored base, but cider donut chunks are plentiful and tasty. - Magic Bar (2.5/5): sickeningly sweet and overwhelmingly coconutty due to the shredded coconut & other sugary mix-ins. Service is so-so. Employees aren't unfriendly, but it feels like they just awkwardly watch me read the menu. Rarely get greeted or acknowledged until I'm ready to order. Recently, one of the employees even talked over me to continue conversing with a colleague.

Ever since I discovered FoMu pints at Whole Foods, I've been hooked on this decadent vegan ice cream. Sure, it's more expensive than many of its counterparts, but it's tops in terms of creamy texture and interesting flavor combinations. So when our group came across a FoMu shop right near Fenway Park after the game let out, we couldn't resist a sweet nightcap. Even at 9:30/10pm, the line was out the door but moved pretty quickly This bright but tiny location is really just a counter, so we grabbed our ice creams and headed to some nearby benches to enjoy at leisure. I love that their menu is labeled for everything from nuts to soy and gluten. Before I went gluten and dairy free, cookies & cream and anything with baked component in it was an automatic favorite. So when I discovered that their strawberry and rhubarb ice cream (w/ crumbled pie crust) was gluten free, I was ecstatic -- rich, tart, and sweet without going over the top. A small (or kid's size?) was just the right amount for me. Maybe because of the coconut milk base, though (and the summer heat), their ice creams tend to melt faster than their dairy-full counterparts. Oh yeah, the blueberry shortbread (also GF) and sweet lavender were also winners in our group. Please open a FoMu in Camberville, and I will be ever grateful!

There was a short wait since they bake the cheesecakes fresh in batches, but it moved pretty quickly. The Original Japanese Cheesecake was warm, soft, and definitely lived up to its signature "jiggle." It's very different from a traditional cheesecake--much lighter, fluffier, and less sweet, almost like a cross between a soufflé and a sponge cake. If you're expecting a rich New York-style cheesecake, this isn't that. Personally, I enjoyed how light it was, and it didn't leave me feeling overly full. The staff was friendly, and the shop was clean and well organized. My only suggestion would be to have a few more seating options since it's mostly grab-and-go. Overall, it's worth checking out if you're in downtown Boston or curious about Japanese-style cheesecake. I'd come back again and would like to try some of their other pastries next time.

I ordered an Ube cheesecake and repeated my order as it seemed there might have been some miscommunication. I was in a bit of a rush due to limited parking and unfortunately didn't check my bag before leaving. When I got home, I realized I had been given a different cheesecake than what I ordered. I decided to keep it rather than return, as going back to Chinatown wasn't convenient at the time. The cheesecake itself was also disappointing in texture and freshness--it felt quite soggy and not as fresh as expected. Overall, the experience did not meet my expectations, and I don't think I would return.

Portuguese Egg Tart葡撻: The shop keeps the egg tarts in a warming box, which is very thoughtful. I've always preferred the cookie crust of old-fashioned Hongkongese egg tarts; they don't crumble or feel sticky in your throat. The custard filling looked a bit overbaked on the surface, but it was still smooth and creamy inside. The milk and egg flavors were qualified, and it was not too sweet. While not particularly amazing, it definitely deserved 4 stars, especially for a Cantonese person like me who hasn't had egg tarts in a long time. Hongkongese Egg Tart蛋撻: The crust is the same as the Portuguese egg tart, but the custard filling seems a bit more diluted, with a lighter milk flavor and a stronger egg flavor. People who aren't used to it might find it a bit eggy. I still prefer the former. Custard Bread奶黃包: Recommended by the owner, and it was definitely the best thing there! I ate it the next morning, but the bread was still soft, and the crust wasn't dry. The custard filling was generous, sweet, creamy, moist, and had a slightly grainy texture. Sausage Bread腸仔包: The seasoning was quite interesting, with a hint of wasabi (?). However, the sausage itself was just average, with a slightly starchy texture. Breads generally cost $2-4 each, and here four items were only $8+, enough to last me all day Important Reminder: Cash only for orders of $10 or less.

I am always surprised at how full I am when I leave! I'm stuffed every time. There is complementary miso soup with all of the bowls I've tried, outlined below. I really loved all of the bowls I've tried but my favorites are probably the Sake Aisuru Don and Kuromon Don. I just prefer more salmon to more tuna though, and they're all very good! Food: - Sake Aisuru Don: their classic all-salmon bowl! I loved the larger cuts of salmon, and I was pleasantly surprised that even the more pulverized salmon was flavorful! - Kuromon Don: loved the yellowtail in this! Each fish comes with two pieces (except the mackerel for which there are four), and I liked the sampler style for the salmon, tuna, yellowtail, and izumidai. - Maguro Toro Don: so much tuna! And all such high quality. The otoro was so fatty that it practically melted in my mouth without chewing. - Sake Maguro Hamachi Don: a mix of salmon, blue fin tuna, and yellowtail.
