Alright, Slush King! There's a very good reason why you have such rave reviews. I was walking through the neighborhood when I decided to make a pit stop at Slush King for a quick sweet treat. They operate out of a little window on the corner of one of the busiest streets in Eastie. The line moves very quickly and the sweet treats they have are a huge bang for your buck. I opted for a Gelati, specifically the orange cream one, which is their creation of homemade slush layered with soft serve ice cream. Very refreshing on a summer day and a perfect solution if you're having a tough time choosing between ice cream or Italian ice. I'll definitely be back again before the end of the season to indulge in more sweet treats! read more

This is a neighborhood staple. I fear I gained many pounds during slush king season, but how could you not. After 2 years, 3 roommates, and 2 boyfriends, a strawberry Sunday with hot fudge or the root beer galati are the best orders. There is always a line on a nice evening but it's worth the wait and goes quick. The ladies working here are nice and quick service. And there are a few benches out front to eat on if you want to stay but most people take it to go. read more

Because Slush King is a neighborhood staple, definitely expect a line when you stop by, but the staff are pretty quick and efficient. I ordered a soft serve swirl with rainbow sprinkles in a cup, while my boyfriend tried the rum raisin gelato. Everything is priced very reasonably and the taste is even better! Holy smokes is this place fantastic! We actually found it at random on TikTok of all places. Took a lil drive and got the root beer gelati- it's layers of root beer slush and vanilla soft serve. I came here on a Saturday afternoon around 2 and there wasn't any wait at Slush King. They serve all customers through a window that is on the street. I got small slushes and the total was $5. I've been twice in 3 days. GET the slush! The ones written in green are "all natural", and I have tried the passion fruit, guava and pineapple. ALL delicious! Got a medium lemon slush. It is lemony, cold and icey. The flavor is ok, its a basic lemon, perhaps even fresh lemons. My bigger issue is the texture. This is literally shaved ice and a lemonade-like mixture. Pretty sweet as well. So I'm trying to scoop some of the ice and enjoy it like Italian ice, but this is not really feasible and the consistency is too watery and it will not stick to the scoop-pick on the end of the straw. Then I start drinking it like a slushee, but soon the water is gone and now all I have is ice and most of the flavor is gone. On a hot summer day the brain freeze I got was actually refreshing. And at this point i'm not sure if this is a cold beverage or a cold snack. But it was definitely a chore to finish it. For what it is, the slush is aight. But I'd probably not get the lemon flavor again. read more

Finally found the most amazing creamy delicious soft serve I've ever had in my entire life! I wish they sold quarts. I'd fill my freezer. I got a twist and more often than not, I find the chocolate part tends to overpower the vanilla, but not this chocolate. It was perfectly creamy and not too strong of a chocolate flavor. Visited Slush King's storefront on Bennington Street in East Boston. Both the Gelato and Italian Slush are homemade and both are delicious! There are different flavors offered daily. Very friendly I was short a dollar at the hemp fest and the guy took a dollar out his tip to make sure I could get a water so I don't pass out I don't remember his name but it was on Saturday September 16th and he was working near the path leading to the hemp fest where the trailers were with frys and dough but I really hope his manager does something nice for him I seen him working the carts a couple times and he's been nice every time and that's why I continue to buy slush from him read more
