Quick service. A little shack you walk up to with tons of different options. Everything is great. Not super expensive. Very local neighborhood vibes. It's super popular amount the people who live here and will often have a line at opening.

This is a neighborhood staple. I fear I gained many pounds during slush king season, but how could you not. After 2 years, 3 roommates, and 2 boyfriends, a strawberry Sunday with hot fudge or the root beer galati are the best orders. There is always a line on a nice evening but it's worth the wait and goes quick. The ladies working here are nice and quick service. And there are a few benches out front to eat on if you want to stay but most people take it to go.

Absolutely understand the hype! This little ice cream shop in Eastie is serving up some delicious sweet treats - ranging from slushes, gelatis, soft serve, and even fresh ice cream sandwiches! Because Slush King is a neighborhood staple, definitely expect a line when you stop by, but the staff are pretty quick and efficient. I ordered a soft serve swirl with rainbow sprinkles in a cup, while my boyfriend tried the rum raisin gelato. Everything is priced very reasonably and the taste is even better! I'm pretty particular about soft serve, but this has to be my favorite I've tried in Boston so far.

Soft serve was great! Really good quality ice cream. I was irked at the credit card surcharge fees that they are charging which add 7% to the bill

Slush king - love their ice cream. So many options, such nice service & reasonably priced. Somehow we end up there more often than we should ! It just hits the spot on a sunny hot day.

Great soft serve and gelato in East Boston for reasonable prices. I loved my large stracciatella gelato sundae with hot fudge, whipped cream, crushed nuts, and a cherry. It was heavy on the whipped cream but still very good. My friends loved their ice cream sandwiches as well!

My go to spot since they opened. Delicious, great price & value / frappes are a repeat order for me (even tho you'd benefit from a larger straw) I still come here & buy my milkshakes! Family loves the brownie sundae & fried dough

Medium watermelon and lemon. Perfection. And like 3$....

Best slush ever. Wish this place was open more often... I really like the grape slush, and of course watermelon and lemon. I like they have real fruit flavors and the classic artificial you sometimes need. It's the best place to go and spend 4$ on a big cup of cold goodness.

I've also made a customized version of the demogorgon to add caramel core and fudge sauce. You mostly taste the toppings more than the actual ice cream. The demogorgon is great for the chocolate on chocolate craving. I didn't like the Vader as much because the frosting on top is too sweet. Cannolis and cream I subbed the Oreo frosting with their homemade whip. Their whip doesn't taste like anything sadly and their frosting is overpowering. I probably wouldn't get this again since all you taste is the chocolate chips and a hint of Oreo. The yogurt itself was bland. For the blueb sundae I love the fresh blueberries, pudding and crumb topping. It's very nice for a fruit ice cream just wish the ice cream was more flavorful. Order online for easier pickup as there is only 1 screen to take orders at and no seating inside. Quick service. Has picnic tables outside to sit and not too bad to find parking on the street. Has some little tables but limited and twinkly lights at night. Staff seemed very stressed when people crowd around and needs better organization of the pickup area vs ordering vs waiting to avoid this frustration/rudeness from the staff.

That's where I first discovered an Orange Freeze, a refreshing frappe like combination of orange sherbet and vanilla soft serve that quickly became one of my favorite summertime treats. So after celebrating our daughter's birthday in Quincy, we decided to walk down the street to Dairy Freeze on Adams Street for dessert. To my surprise and delight, they had orange sherbet and vanilla soft serve in the same machine and even offered it as a twist. There was no way I was passing that up. The first taste instantly brought me back to those childhood summers. It was absolutely delicious and filled with so many great memories. Sometimes a simple ice cream can do that. Dairy Freeze is one of those iconic neighborhood establishments that has been putting smiles on people's faces for decades. Great ice cream, friendly service, and a little dose of nostalgia made this an unexpected highlight of our evening. I'm so glad we stumbled across it, and I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Quincy looking for a sweet treat.

My friend and I were on the hunt for a good ice cream spot that gave the "farm fresh ice cream"…read morevibe and we came across Dairy Freeze during our search. The ice cream itself was sooo good. I got my usual: soft serve twist with rainbow sprinkles in a waffle cone. The cone was so fresh and flavorful, the rainbow sprinkles also tested fresh (I love when the sprinkles have their own distinct taste. That's how you know they're fresh), and the soft serve was cold and creamy. The dream. My friend got the cookie dough hard ice cream in a waffle cone and she really liked it too. The ordering/waiting lines were wild. Idk if it was an off-night when we went, but there were at least 15 people standing around waiting for their ice cream while we were in line ordering. Then it came our time to wait and it took 12 minutes just to get these 2 cones out. The kitchen was closed by the time we were there too, so no one was waiting on food. We were all waiting on an ice cream cone. I feel for them - it was a hectic summer night and everyone wants good ice cream - but I honestly hadn't seen anything quite like this before!

We got pretty lucky while roaming around and stumbled across what looks to be a new food hall that features a cool looking little ice cream shop called Crescent Ridge. Was I hungry? not really. Did I need ice cream? not at all. Did I order some since I probably won't be back for years? You betcha! I ended up ordering a two scoop cone with some form of cookie monster style ice cream as well as a scoop of double chocolate (or something like that). I was expecting two regular size scoops, but no, this cone was massive and dripping all over my hand (luckily, they offered a little bowl in case it melted to much) and I went to work on this thing. Both of the ice cream flavours were super rich, tasty, and really hit the spot (not of hunger, but of being cold) on a hot and humid New England day. Overall, Crescent Ridge is in the perfect location for grabbing some desert after eating at the food hall. The prices were reasonable, the kids working were great, and the ice cream gets a big thumbs up.
