First time here, if you're here in the summer, be prepared to wait 10 minutes plus. Nevertheless, I don't let long lines deter me from eating somewhere. I got the medium cup with cookies and cream and birthday cake. The ice cream was good, but it's not in the same class as my childhood favorite kimball farms. My girlfriend and I found a random bench 5 minutes away to finish the ice cream. There is no indoor seating. Ambiance: chill
Cute small shop right off the main street in the North End. Lots of flavors to choose from and staff let us try samples! Some unique flavors to choose from. The Thai Tea flavor was the best, tasted very flavorful with pieces of real coconut. Taro was yummy and creamy - a bit too sweet. Friend said the brownie was good and would be even better with some chocolate chips
Small shop, but very well organized. This team and business have a workflow that works well when people are paying attention. They have candies and other products you can browse while standing in line. The ice cream was very creamy and delicious. I had the oreo (cookie). Staff was efficient and polite. If I'm ever back in the area, I will ABSOLUTELY stop here again!
Very creamy ice cream in the north end of Boston! I got a small cookies & cream and it was very fresh. To keep the line moving, they only let you taste test up to two flavors. There was a small line when we were there, but service was quick & friendly.
Cute little shop. All the flavors we tried were good but I especially liked the cereal milk. The fruity pebbles were a little soggy but I was into it. Duality small batch ice cream!

The staff is super conscious of allergies, changed scoops and opened a new container for my order. (Photo was from a past visit)
milk tea flavor was incredible. the flavor was perfect and the texture was super creamy. the matcha strawberry was also fantastic, with the matcha tasting not artificial at all. next will have to try the thai tea coconut. there are not too many ice cream places with flavors like these, so this was a very pleasant surprise. service was kind of weird, they put my cup down and walked away as I was paying without saying anything

The taro flavor was amazingly creamy and the Thai tea was not sweet, but textured with the coconut pieces. The staff were really nice and customers are allowed to taste flavors (a rarity around here!). Nice stop when you have a hankering for ice cream in the North End.
Everything everybody has said. Five stars all the way for this homemade ice cream where every single flavor is great. Would come here every week if I lived here. The espresso Oreo and Thai tea coconut were nuts. Coming back. 5 stars!!!!
Ice cream is not bad. I tried matcha and taro, and went with taro since it's less sweet and tastes more creamy. Service was nice. Don't be afraid of the line - the line moves fast. A great summer bite after an Italian meal at North End!
I went to the north end creamery the other day with my friend and it was SO GOOD. The flavors are so unique and absolutely delicious. I got the pumpkin chai custard and my friend got taro--both were amazing. The girlies there were super sweet and the store itself is super cute! Would 100% go here again and try more flavors
Long ass line, but it moved quick. The space inside was cute and the flavors are written on magnetic paddles so if a flavor was sold out, they could just remove it from the board, which is so smart. Prices are pretty normal compared to other ice cream shops I've been to. I got a scoop of taro and a scoop of birthday cake. The texture of the ice cream is not too hard and not too soft. Honestly the best texture ice cream can have. The taro had a nice natural flavor, not overbearing at all. The birthday cake was good too, but the big chunks of frosting threw me off. Otherwise, I can see why they have very long lines. read more
After watching a movie at the nearby AMC, I came here with the cool autumn breeze. The storefront was under renovation, but it was still open. The decor suggested a rather old-fashioned ice cream shop. Taro: A bit of a surprise. For an American/Italian ice cream shop, the most highly rated flavor online was taro, but after one bite, I felt it truly deserved its reputation. The ice cream was smooth and delicate, with a naturally rich taro flavor, and not too sweet. Matcha: A very standard matcha flavor from an American ice cream shop. Not too sweet, the matcha flavor was pure, but nothing particularly special. A safe choice for Chinese palates. Coconut Thai Tea: First time trying this, and quite an interesting flavor. The sweetness of coconut milk is the top note, followed by the bitter aroma of Thai milk tea. Bourbon Maple Pecan: The initial taste was the sweetness of maple syrup, followed by the nutty and slightly salty aroma of pecans. It's quite good, but a little on the sweet side. read more

Yummy ice cream! Loved the espresso oreo and milk tea flavors. Gelato equipment ice cream style. Great service. Girls were sweet and friendly. Happy to drop by this creamery in the Italian neighborhood and not far from Paul Revere house. Thanks for making our Boston trip super sweet. read more

Homemade! The owner literally makes the ice cream in a machine in shop. They usually have dairy free flavors, but they ran out and we didn't have time to wait for it to be made. The owner was super nice and offered a cookie on the house instead or lactaid! The ice cream itself was good, but the vanilla lacked in flavor. The fudge brownie was very rich and the cookie dough was decent, but with the vanilla base so it was sweet but not super flavorful. The portions were decently large, I couldn't even finish one scoop. Overall would go again! read more
Delicious treat on Salem st. The people working here are cool and listen to good music. They make their ice cream themselves which is quite rare in the ice cream industry. Great spot if you want something other than cannolis and gelato in the North End. read more
Very yummy ice cream with totally unique flavors! We were looking for ice cream or gelato and wandered here. There's a bright atmosphere inside and so many fun flavors to choose from! I got the Thai tea and strawberry matcha both of which were fantastic! I'm a huge ice cream foodie and this definitely met my standards! I've got high standards when it comes to ice cream and I can say this place hit the mark. I stopped by on a Sunday night in July and it was pretty busy, with a line out the door, which is always a good sign. It's a pretty small shop, so you'll probably have to take your ice cream to go. I'd recommend sitting by the waterfront area, as long as you don't mind your ice cream melting a bit along the way. The best part about this place is the unique flavors. I would have asked to try a few samples had it not been so busy, but I was very happy with my selection. I really enjoyed the Taro and Thai Tea Coconut, which reminded me of bubble tea. The coconut flakes were a nice touch and the ice cream itself wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. I'd love to try the Fruity Cereal next time! read more
One of my favorite ice cream places in Boston! If you are around the north end area you gotta try this. The taro flavor is like a childhood memory and it's not commonly found in the US. The matcha strawberry swirl is a great choice if you like matcha. Also you can't go wrong with lemon sorbet in a hot summer day! read more

I'm new to Boston and I've been struggling to find a high quality ice cream shop with unique flavors (and good vibes). Found it! So happy that this spot opened up. The employees are super helpful and friendly, and they have a nice selection of interesting flavors that taste delicious. I loved the fig+olive oil+walnut flavor, which I paired with the sugar cookie flavor. They have plenty of options for toppings too. A great place to stop by for dessert, especially if you don't feel like waiting in line for cannoli at Mike's! read more

North End Creamery is regularly rated as one of the best ice cream places in Boston. I tried it for the first time today and I must say I was delighted with the place and the service. The store is a small, brightly-colored establishment located in the middle of a bustling North End full of restaurants and eateries. There was a queue inside (it was a Saturday evening after all), but the line moved fast. The service was efficient and the servers were polite and welcoming. I ordered two scoops in a medium cup (around $6) -- the quantity was decent. I tried Thai tea coconut, espresso Oreos, bourbon maple pecan, and taro. The taro was outstanding -- so creamy and luscious and just the right amount of sweetness. The maple pecans came in a close second. The espresso Oreos felt like any store-bought coffee ice cream. The Thai tea coconut was a flavor I couldn't get on board with -- it wasn't completely horrible, but there was very little coconut (maybe that's what Thai tea coconut tastes -- I haven't ever tasted it, so I apologize if my observation is wrong!). However, the taro blew everything out of the water and ensured that I'll definitely return to North End Creamery and try their other flavors. 10/10 -- would recommend! read more

Very yummy and creamy ice cream. Fun and unique flavors. I love that they are so happy to let you try flavors. They were making their mint flavor when we walked in and it smelled SO GOOD. I had half mint chocolate chip and half raspberry chip. So yummy and rich read more

Some of the best ice cream I have ever had! Honey lavender and ginger matcha are flavors I would pair with everything if I could. Absolutely perfect texture and creamy. Small little storefront but all the places are here in Boston. Very nice staff that let me sample multiple flavors! read more

Very good ice cream. The lavender honey has pieces of lavender plant in it so you know it's homemade! The ice cream sandwiches were HUGE and well worth the price. Busy place but staff kept it going quickly. read more
