This place was mentioned to me many times by my son who happens to be one of the best Real Estate salesman in Lake County. (Sean Sanders/Remax). He told me he brings his family here often and that the food was spot on every time. Well as you can see form the picture this food is FIRE and the meal I had was the Country Jule. It's the best country fried steak I have ever had. It sits on a biscuit that seems to be homemade and complements the steak nicely. Also, the gravy is really good too. Me and my bf go here for lunch basically everyday, we even like it SO much we go the on the weekends. The food is always good and tastes grate. The staff is super helpful, friendly, and attentive. Please read because my husband got food poisoning from eating here. We were heading to Mount Dora for the day. My husband loves breakfast and through my search I chose this place for the 4+ stars and I got taken in by the picture of the Crab Eggs Benedict. I should have known when I entered the restaurant that it wasn't going to be good. There was no ambiance to speak of and while it's a neighborhood place, it's not welcoming at all. We sat down and the seats were too low for the table height which was annoying. So now onto the menu, of course the Crab Eggs Benedict wasn't on the menu because it was a special at some point in time. The server pointed me to the current special which was a Redneck something or another which didn't interest me at all. I perused the very limited menu and decided to go with a swiss cheese and sausage omelette while my husband got scrambled eggs with a side burger patty. We both ordered coffee. To start, the coffee tasted like dish water and there wasn't any amount of creamer or sugar that could save it. When our food arrived, it was disappointing. My swiss cheese omelette had 2 rectangular slices of processed cheese and was filled with the same along with Italian Sausage. It was disgusting. The cheese was sticking to my teeth and it tasted so salty. When I told the server, she didn't apologize or offer to have a new one made. My husband's eggs were horrible but it was the burger patty that did him in. When he went to cut off a piece with just a fork he was unsuccessful and using a knife wasn't much better. The burger looked petrified like it had been cooked 5-7 days earlier and laid on a flat top to warm it up. I rarely do negative reviews but my husband didn't feel good within 1/2 hour of leaving. We went to an Urgent Care the following day where he was diagnosed with food poisoning and to an ER 2 days later because it wasn't subsiding. It's likely he had a case of salmonella from something that was tainted. I feel bad for the servers there because I'm not sure if they know how bad the food is and are trying to make a living. I'm also not sure if people who give this place a good rating know what good food should look like or taste like but are likely friends with the owner. Do yourself a favor and skip over this place - don't waste your time or money. read more

Went for lunch during the week. The place is dark inside because they keep the blinds closed due to the afternoon sun. Otherwise it looks clean and up to date. I ordered a Cheesesteak sandwich and fries. The sandwich roll was not adequate for the moisture level of the sandwich and both ends of the roll spit open. Meat was tender but had little to no seasoning. The fries were ok but some were hot and some were not and no seasoning. My spouse had a patty melt. The bread was greasy and soggy. Her fries had no seasoning. The wait staff was not very attentive and didn't ask about refills. It appeared like they didn't want to be there. You have to pay at the bar and I could hear my shoes sticking to the floor. It could be a decent place with someone in charge that cares and leads the team to excellence. Here's hoping read more

I give this place a 5 star for their phenomenal Omellettes. Whenever I am in Eustis, I definitely go by several times and always order the CORNFUSED Omellette. It is filled with Corn Beef Hash. For a local diner, you can not beat this place. The wait help is extremely friendly, great service, and the meals are consistent. It is on the "side" of a shopping strip, so you may not see it from main road. I understand that the Landlord is supposed to be furnishing them with a BIG sign that will definitely get passerby's attention. At any rate, this is a Favorite Breakfast place for me and mine! We went to an afternoon show at The Bay Street Theatre. Several people recommended this place for a great lunch and said they had very good pies. So off we went.
