    JD Jd's Biscuits and Gravy

I got the JD biscuits and gravy, home style potatoes, and two eggs. Everything tasted so good and the potatoes were extra crispy, which I loved! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was seated for brunch on their patio on this beautiful spring day. It was perfect![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will be back.

Welp this is a wonderful breakfast spot. Simple as that. I have to say, there are breakfast places that have more unique food, more complex flavors. However as it relates to traditional breakfast, it's amazing. The biscuits and gravy were great! I do wish the gravy had chunks of sausage. Besides that, the flavor of the gravy was great. There was a hint of spice to it too! The biscuits were fluffy. The eggs were cooked perfectly to order. The bacon was crispy and again perfect. The potatoes!!! I don't think I have had potatoes that crispy, and were still crispy at the end of the meal! The pancakes were incredibly fluffy but still had a nice crisp on the edges. The sausage links too were so crispy, but not dry, so good! The prices were beyond reasonable. The biscuits and gravy was only $12.45 I think. The atmosphere was so relaxing and welcoming. Nice outdoor seating too. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We are very excited to go back and try more of this amazing food. 3*** = Good but no separation from similar restaurants 4**** = Set themselves a part with quality food and I want to go back. 5*****= You have to go out of your way and make a special trip to try the deliciousness that is there!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Cozy breakfast stop at JD Campbell's, a friendly neighborhood restaurant known for classic comfort food and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We came here for a Sunday family brunch. They serve breakfast all day (always a win!), and I ordered the Good Morning Breakfast: scrambled eggs, country potatoes, sourdough toast, and pork links, simple, hearty, and delicious. We also shared the Famous House French Toast: Texas toast dipped in cinnamon egg batter, rolled in crushed frosted flakes, topped with powdered sugar and strawberries... and wow definitely worth sharing. A great local spot for comforting meals, friendly service, and that classic neighborhood diner feel.

This was a bit of a meh experience for me. There was a line of people outside the door when this place opened so I was expecting awesome and it was just ok. Service was prompt, I will say that. Any extras that were requested were not forgotten. I had scrambled eggs with potatoes, bacon and English muffin for breakfast. English muffin would have been better if it was hot. Eggs were... weird. Potatoes are already seasoned but they still put salt on them so it was a bit much. The bacon was extremely salty so I couldn't finish it. My husband said his french toast was good and he was excited they had vanilla creamer for their coffee. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a cute place with good service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I wish the food had been better.

First-time visit and I'm so glad I stopped in! I stumbled across their Instagram while scrolling and was instantly intrigued. The portions are generous, and the prices are hard to beat. On the way in, I noticed three different people with the blueberry pancakes--which felt like a sign--so I had to try one à la carte. We also ordered the green chile omelet and the Bandito breakfast sandwich. The peach on cobbler was lacking sadly... there was no crust just peaches in a fruit compote style with an oatmeal crumble like on top . But overall the breakfast and was flavorful, and the service was quick and friendly. Definitely a great find!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]JD Campbells offers diners a sunny Arizona welcome.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The waitstaff are attentive and friendly. The food is excellent and served with a smile at breakfast and lunch. They offer the best green pork chili-smothered omelet I've had in ages. The portions are generous, the menu variety is incredible, and the pricing is hard to complain about. The potato pancakes are a must-try. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Above all, the atmosphere is charming and cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]My Mother's Day morning delight was the flower vendor stand just outside, with beautiful arrangements for the occasion.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You haven't experienced the charm and flavor of Peoria unless you've stopped here for a bite.

A bit of a hike from Central PHX, but I had heard good things. Place is kind of by itself in the NE corner of the intersection. There was a line, but it moved quickly. Menu has quite a few breakfast options. I opted for the corned beef hash. House made and quite tasty. It sits on top of jalapeño cornbread. Also good. Saw quite a few people with biscuits and gravy (looked good) and chicken fried steak and eggs (also looked good) Ambiance is rustic country. Goes with the vibe. N*joy!

The pancakes really are worth ths hype here. The blueberry version were densely loaded with blueberries and hot off the grill. The blueberry whip was a nice touch as well. Huge cup of coffee. Breakfast was $20.

We brought our friends visiting from Las Vegas to JD Campbell's Restaurant for brunch after hearing great things from some local friends. It was our first visit, and clearly a popular spot, the restaurant was packed even on a Monday morning at 11 a.m. Our group of five waited about 25 minutes for a table. Once seated, we were greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere with charming farm-style décor that added to the cozy feel of the place. We ordered a variety of dishes, including the Country Fried Steak, Potato Cakes, Blueberry Pancakes, and a Seasonal Egg Scramble. Every dish was hearty, flavorful, and satisfying, the kind of comforting brunch food that hits the spot. While the service wasn't the most attentive (understandable given how busy they were), our overall experience was enjoyable. JD Campbell's is a great local gem for a casual, down-home brunch, and we'd definitely return to try more of their menu.

Came for breakfast after a hike in the area. Prices were very good especially for the portion sizes. I got the country fried steak with potatoes and eggs. It was crispy and topped with a good helping of gravy. The potatoes were really good as well. Service was fast and friendly. The place can be a bit crowded with a wait on weekend mornings, but the wait wasn't too long. Would consider coming again if I'm in the area!

Campbells is always a great time and I should have been a review a long time ago but today it was just meant to be. My hubs and I decided to hop out of bed and head straight to Campbells for some good breakfast because no one wanted to cook lol! It being Sunday we knew it would be busy but only waited 10 ish mins, we were greeted with a big smile and great service (like every time) and ordered our food. Our food came out so quick and was perfectly hot and steamy. I have never had their country gravy but now it will be a must, and same with the sausage links. Tasted homemade and was packed with savory flavor! My hubby got the chicken fried steak which was tasty as it always is. Food there is always worth the price and the atmosphere is always on point from the service, chattering of the customers, decor, and the perfect volume of the country music playing! It is a special local place and definitely need to visit more often

JD Campbells has become our favorite breakfast spot! The vibe is nice, everyone is super friendly and most importantly the food is amazing!! We've had the biscuits and gravy, breakfast burrito, waffle, pancakes, breakfast sandwich and I'm sure I'm forgetting others but everything we have had has been delicious! The portions are huge and those breakfast potatoes are our favorite. So crispy and tasty. Cannot wait for our next stop in and we need to checkout lunch as well. I know it's probably just as great as breakfast!

Ask the Community - JD Campbell's

    Do they take reservations?

    No, I don't believe so.

    Is the patio pet friendly?

No unfortunately not I took my Dalmatian and had to walk her and leave her in the car.

Do they have dairy free options?

This isn't an ice cream shop. Of course they have food without dairy. You know, eggs, potatoes, most bread, beans, tortillas, meat - there's a long list of non-dairy foods available. Just ask to hold the dairy/cheese. :)

We looked at the website and noticed that they had some gluten-free alternatives for my hubby so that was a plus in our book. First thing we saw when we walked in was all the goodies that they have for their bloody Mary bar. They had over 30 different items that you could add to your Bloody Mary for as little as $14. This included meatballs, and bacon. Everyone that we spoke to was kind and very friendly. Son decided on the peanut butter and jelly French toast, hubby decided on the lemon ricotta and blueberry compote gluten-free pancakes, and since I knew I would be sharing the bougie biscuits. I just ordered two fried eggs. One of the things that was so great about this place -for especially gluten-free eaters - is that they were willing to adjust or accommodate almost anything on the menu in order to make it adaptable. The host, the gentleman behind the bloody Mary bar and our server were very well educated. The restaurant was super cute and had a vibe with black-and-white sayings all over the wall. The food was delicious although my husband said the pancakes were a little dense, but that's to be expected for gluten-free pancakes. Phoenix area ( Peoria) had some really good restaurants to choose from!

So when we drove past it during this weekend's trip to Peoria, AZ, I knew this was where we would be dining for at least one morning! Turns out we loved it so much that it turned into day 2's morning selection and our last meal before heading home! First I must say that the service was amazing. Our 2 wait staff members were adorably personable answering all my questions and returning several times to ensure we were well supported. Second, I loved the coffee latte in the mason jar. So good I got it both days. First morning was the Beast Eggs Benedict for me and the Chorizo omelet for Mr. Would definitely order both again. Mr. got biscuits with his omelet. OMG! These biscuits are the right biscuits--you know the difference if you've ever had good and not so good biscuits. These are the right kind of Southern style biscuits so good, make you wanna slap yo mama!! But that's not all. The homemade strawberry jam! It's everything. Just the right amount of sweet. One thing to note: the fried potatoes on my plate and the bell peppers on Mr's plate were both a tad al dente. Might be the style of the chef on the line. Both were enjoyable. Another thing to note: incredible portions. Go hungry. I had to ask for a box both mornings. Second day: I had the Monte Cristo which caught my eye the first day and the waitress assured me was a solid choice after the Beast. Y'all! So! Good! I have ordered many a Monte Cristo in my day. This was unique to the Biscuit cafe with one layer of beautifully cut ham and Swiss cheese nestled lovingly between two thick pieces of perfect french toast slices and dusted with powdered sugar. On the side was the famous homemade strawberry jam along with dijon mustard. The mix of all these flavors was perfection. Everything I dreamed it would be. Mr. got biscuits and gravy to try the sausage gravy and it was super! Really good seasonings and sausage flavor. Not too much pepper which is a frequent risk with white southern gravy. One more thing I absolutely must call out. If you're like me and love the idea of a flight so you can test out many flavors--mimosas, margaritas, cinnamon rolls, donuts, bacon, french toast, are just a few of the flights I remembered from the menu. This place has a minimum of one flight per category. This calls out to my "try everything" spirit. Hope it calls out to yours too! This is definitely staying in my Phoenix/Chandler saved places and we will definitely go back.

The staff was friendly and working hard, but it definitely felt like they could use a few more people during peak brunch hours. The menu is fantastic. There are so many great options that I honestly had a hard time deciding what to order. I chose the red chicken chilaquiles. The tortilla chips had a great texture, but by the time they reached the table they had absorbed almost all of the sauce. I'm not sure if that's just their style of chilaquiles or if my plate had been sitting in the kitchen for a bit. The red sauce itself was good, but it tasted more tomato-forward than the traditional red chile flavor I usually expect from chilaquiles. The matcha was to sweet and creamy: not of my liking. It didn't taste like matcha. The matcha pancakes were good. The atmosphere is definitely part of the experience. They had a DJ playing music, giving the restaurant more of a fun nightclub vibe than a typical breakfast spot. It was unexpected, but I actually enjoyed it. They also have an impressive Bloody Mary bar with lots of toppings and garnishes. The only thing that gave me pause was that the topping containers are open and located right by the entrance, which made me wonder how much dust or debris they might be exposed to throughout the day. One thing to be aware of is that there was an additional service charge added to the bill, which may be related to paying with a credit card. The manager was very nice and attentive. The server was ok and the hostess could be more friendly. Parking lot is limited Overall, Hash Kitchen is a fun brunch spot with a lively atmosphere, a menu full of tempting choices, and food I'd happily come back to try again. I just wish the service moved a little faster during the busy brunch hours and that a couple of the small details were improved.

Server was on her "A" game! Kept our soft drinks and tea full and made sure our food was perfectly cooked to order! *Our party ordered the Brisket Piggy Plater with Ranch-Style spicy beans (jalapeño or poblano) and mac n' cheese; two (2) BYOB (Build Your Own Burgers; Angus beef cooked to medium-well) and French Fries; TAB (Turkey Smashed Avocado and Bacon) w/ French Fries; and a Kid's All-Day Breakfast (Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, and White Toast). The food: SOOOOOOO GOOD! Cooked to perfection! Absolutely ZERO complaints! Thank you, Haymaker for an enjoyable experience!
