Came in because the bar across the street was PACKED when this should've been the place to be packed! I had a bruschetta burger and it was amazing! As a woman who has stomach problems and doesn't eat much, I finished this burger! Will be back soon!

After driving from the Northland to Lees Summit to checkout Jazzy B's, I wanted to go all in on the menu and try as much as i could; so for $25 I ordered the 3 meats and 3 sides platter. Three short ribs, six thick slices of sausage, and about a dozen chunks of burnt ends were my meats. Large cups of baked beans and apple jicama slaw were served with a very large helping of tater tots, Texas toast, pickles and cups of sauce on the side. A large feast that exceeded my expectations in quantity. Ok, but what about the quality? First the missed opportunities... the ribs were short but thick, yet were a bit greasy and undercooked, and The "Miles Davis Baked Beans" had an unusual taste... maybe too much liquid smoke?? Not my favorite beans by a long shot. They had a nice "Aura" but this "Bitches Brew" of a side dish left me "Kind of Blue". Now on to the good stuff.... The tater tots were the best I've ever had. Some sort of sweet magic powder was coating them and created "A Love Supreme" between me and those little potato nuggets.. I'm very glad the serving was large. Apple / Jicama slaw? Yep, another "Strange Fruit" concoction but the, textures and flavor combinations won me over. Burnt Ends... "Mercy Mercy Mercy" a mouthful of moist meaty morsels that stack up to any other in town. Sausage - was one of "My Favorite Things" Made in house and perfect flavoring without fennel seeds! Great for dipping in the sauce on the side cups. Jazzy B's not only has a large BBQ menu, but offers much more, burgers, crab cakes, salads, a full bar, live music, sports and jazz paraphernalia for visual stimulation. I love the fact that this place has blended two of our city's culture touchstones - BBQ and Jazz, thrown in some football blended it all together to create a unique roadhouse feel. I wish they were more centrally located in the metro, because I would certainly be a loyal and returning customer if they were a bit closer. Three days post visit and I'm already "In the Mood" to "Take the A Train" back to Lees Summit for some Crab Cake balls, a brisket sandwich and a cocktail or two and listen to some live beats and take some "Time Out".

We came from California to visit family + had to have great KC BBQ! Read about Jazzy B's before we left + they did not disappoint! Delicious smoked flavor in the beef ribs/very tender, no sauce needed. Burnt ends were to die for + highly enjoyed the dry jerk rub chicken wings! Loved the crab balls to start! So fun to have the live Jazz music that added to the ambience + friendly service, even got to meet Jazzy himself - very nice man! Perfect for a family night out!

Smells great in here! We placed our order we placed our order at the register as instructed and took a seat. We ordered several different meats to try. The owner came by to make sure everything was great. It was nice that he cared enough to check in with us. This is kind of a mixed review. I really like the atmosphere here and felt at home. Something was off with the pulled pork; I think it was old. Neither my wife or I were interested in a second bite. The brisket was pretty good and so was the sausage. The sauces were good too! I like the beans a great deal. The cheesy corn was delicious. The coleslaw was nice. But holy cow! The best thing on that platter was the amazing tater tots!! They are the best tots either of us have ever had in our combined 100+ years. Absolutely delicious!!!

Girl's day ended with a good lunch and photo op with Jazzy B's owner!

We tried this place on a whim and it didn't disappoint! The food was good. Our waitress was friendly. This was a marriage of a sports bar and jazz club it was a fun atmosphere. The owner even came out to join in our fun.

The 4 meat, 4 side combo.

The fish and chips are so yummy! My husband thinks the pulled pork is better than any in Lees Summit. A little pricey.

Is it always the last Saturday of the month for brunches?

Believe that's correct. Such a nice quaint area too, lake is just down the hill.

Like another iconic joint in the metro, this one is a former gas station. The brisket at that place is a little bit better. However, everything else that I tried here is spectacular. The sliced brisket was just a little dry. It wasn't bad. The sausage was amazing. It is housemade with green onions and incredible. I generally don't care for sausages that are different, but this one is exceptional and everyone at the table tried it and loved it. The pulled pork was fresh, which is super important and delicious! Wonderful smoky flavor and super tender. They know exactly what they're doing with pork. I'm gonna say that the beans here are the best in the metro. I'm very particular and I don't like beans that are too sweet like Slaps. Those gag me. The Filling Station beans are absolute perfection. Other reviews say the same. The creamy coleslaw was wonderful! My wife put it on her pulled pork sandwich and I had a little bit for dessert because it's sweet. The homemade potato salad was also the best I've had in a long time. We can't wait to return!

The Halloween decor was actually quite well done and my boyfriend and I both remarked on it. It was a Saturday night but we got a table quickly, looked over a specialty drink menu, little spooky seasoned themed- I decided on the Witches Brew (I think) bucket, certain it was going to be too sweet but was happy to find it very well balanced for the type of cocktail it was. BF got an Old Fashioned and was happy with his classic. For dinner he got Beef (thats what the platter was called, which is sweet and to the point.) They were out of the sliced brisket and offered shredded beef instead, fine with us, came with burnt ends too. He switched out his sides for mac and cheese and fries. Not a corn and bean guy. I got the chimichurri melt. Came with the brisket they were out of but I accepted the shredded beef too. Because. Well. Chimichurri. We didn't wait long for food. Portion sizes were good. Not gargantuan and not teeny. BF dug in to mac and cheese and me into my melt. Bread was soft in a nice way, fillings were flavorful and hot. Fries curly and salty. BF shared a burnt end with me and I looked at him, eyes wide- "Thats better than I expected." "I know." He said, a little dumbfounded. We both cleared our plates. And left saying we were pleasantly surprised. We went to the new Q39 a couple of weeks prior and had a lack luster experience. This one though, this surprised us. I expected lazier food and, well, I was wrong. We will be back.

The wine bar, for tastings, is right there letting you know wine is a major focus. The selection of wines is also there, each with flavor notes and suggested pairings noted on a card. This provides a pleasant start to an evening. Armed with this information, when we got to the table, we were able to order one for each of us that we thought would suit our pallets. I enjoy sweets so the Scarletto delivered perfectly. My spouse had the Summer Berry Sangria, which she really enjoyed. Along with water and our wines they brought a pretzel bun and butter. It was delicious and I couldn't resist another. We had the prime rib sliders for an appetizer. The accompanying garlic spread was amazing. My wife had the pistachio encrusted grouper came with 3 good sized asparagus spears and mashed potatoes. I sampled and the grouper was about an inch thick, citrus notes and the crust of pistachios slightly salty and good nutty flavor. I had the braised short rib risotto. It had the subtle earthy notes from the mushrooms, totally tender and delicious also. After dinner one of the service ladies refilled my water glass and some accidental spilled in the table. No harm, no foul. But then asked, after cleaning up, if there was anything we would like. I asked for a third pretzel roll and yes, not ashamed, brought it home for tomorrow. Everything else was so good none of it made it to carry home. The restaurant is spotless, plenty of staff in hand to give extra assistance when desired.

We have been to a couple of Cooper's Hawk locations and so far this one is our favorite. It doesn't hurt that it's the closest one to our house in Lee's Summit.
