    Brisket

Got a pound of brisket and LARGE potato salad. I asked how many the large served. 4. This is a serving for 1. I was blown at $8+tax. Brisket was good, came with a little sauce and 2 slices of white bread. It's grab and go, and they do not answer the phone. Prices pictured on yelp are not correct.

Today I went to Dunn Deal BBQ trying to support black owned business. I spend $50.42 on 1/2 slap ribs, Lunch Special Brisket with fries and potato salad. Also order a banana pudding. I asked for no sauce and I guess that was a huge mistake. My food was ice cold. I guess this must have pissed someone off in the back cause they were complaining about someone order BBQ with no sauce. The ribs are good. The brisket since it was ice cold didn't taste right. Fries and potato salad are good. Banana Pudding EWW (yuck). The older lady service was good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The environment was a good little spot on Main Street.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My husband like the ribs so I know he will be returning but as for me absolutely not. I rather go to Big T's and wait in a long line. At least I know my food will be hot.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience is phenomenal for this quaint, spotless, well put together bbq joint! As cute and cozy as ever. Decor is as pretty as a peach![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice waiting area, but no dine-in. Carry out only.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ordered ribs, 1/2 lb of brisket, chicken, fries and bbq beans. Please forgive me, but I dove in sooo fast I forgot to take photos so will have to share them the next visit. The ribs were extremely tender and meaty as was the brisket...sooo delightfully delicious. Please stop through the next time you have a hankering for great bbq. You'll be glad you did!!! Oh and the staff was over-the-top inviting and warm. That's icing on the cake for me!!! It's truly a Dunn Deal y'all!

One pound of ribs. One pound of brisket. I'm going back for some more sausage!

The BBQ here is great. Gerald is doing it right. I ordered a pound of ribs and a pound of brisket and check out the photo! Fantastic. This is my new favorite barbecue in Kansas City. It's basically a to-go spot, but the food is totally worth the price. The service is friendly and the waiting room is comfy. Everyone there was happy and friendly. And the line continued to form while I waited, and this was around 2PM. If you want meat or sandwiches to go. Stop by Dunn Deal. They are only open on Friday and Saturday, so plan ahead.

    Brisket, sausages and smoked turkey.

This hidden gem is in the heart of downtown Grandview, a south suburb of Kansas City. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When you step into the place, you smell and feel like you're in a spot where barbecue is not just a business but a passion.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The Pitt master Gerald and his staff make you feel that Southern hospitality throughout the visi. Courteous, friendly, and welcoming. Now, the food! I tried a little of all the meats! Dunn Deal Barbecue is the real deal! They really know how to smoke meats that deliver their own unique tastes. The ribs were moist and smoky. The sausages are flavorful and have a snap. The chicken is moist and seasoned very well both on the skin as well as the meat. The smoked turkey has a different Smokey flavor and very moist. The pulled pork is very succulent and has a unique sweet yet spicy flavor. The brisket is everything! Some of it had fat marbling. Others were a little more lean, but all were moist and tender. And then the baked beans are the Barbecue beans that I've seen and tasted. It has a medley of different beans with the smoky flavor throughout definitely worth the visit to Grandview for a taste of Texas and Kansas City bbq, too.

Eating here put a huge smile on my face!…read more First of all, when you walk in, the decor is cute and welcoming, and so was the lady running the front. My friend and I ordered every type of lumpia they had to start and kare kare and sisig silog for mains. The lumpias were all good but the vegetable one was our favorite. Next, the mains came out and I was impressed with the portion! My dish, sisig silog was just $14 and was a massive full plate of meat and garlic rice with a nicely done fried egg. The kare kare was $16 but they gave 3 substantial oxtails which is generous. Honestly this food was so good. After many KC restaurant visits of mediocre or disappointing food, I could have cried tears of joy. The meat was perfectly seasoned, a nice balance of savory, acidity, and aromatics, and not too fatty or salty with some nice crisp/crunch from the pork belly skin. The garlic rice was perfect, not too oily or salty with good garlic flavor and complementary to the meat. Fried egg was crispy with runny yolk, the way it should be. The pineapple was a nice treat too, it was somehow so sweet? I tried my friend's kare kare and while I'm not a big fan of the dish itself, this is the best one I've had! And the oxtail itself was delicious - soft, moist, and flavorful. The only downside I can think of is that you might have to wait a while when it's busy since this is only run by a small family. Maybe try to be one of the first parties in the door. Go support them! Great food and great value. I certainly will be back whenever I can.

The quality of food is at worse, very good, and often exceptional. However....... i'm taking the time to post this review about one of my favorite barbecue restaurants and one that I often refer to out of town guests, because it is painfully obvious that this restaurant needs to change its policy about placing orders. It is not acceptable to be shouted at by employees of a restaurant. "Hi, MAY I HELP YOU?!" Not once or twice, but often three or four times from different staff members. And often, just as you step inside the door!!! It's not catchy, it's not funny, and it's not helpful. It concerns me that this legendary Kansas City standard for barbecue will not be around in another few years because there is a visible dislike for being shouted at at a restaurant for your food order. Jack stacks, Q39, Joes, and other newer barbecue restaurants are getting the customers that otherwise would've previously stopped at Gates and sons, knowing that they're not going to be a part of some cattle call. Seriously Gates, STOP with this inane custom!!!!!! ANNOYING AF!!!!!!

While during most of the year, they do sell lunch, that's just not why most people go to Fritz's. They're renowned for their smoked meats. Around holidays they sell smoked turkeys, gravy, and- most importantly- their 3 sausage stuffing, which is a must for our holiday meals. It is delicious! It can get busy some mornings with people picking up, but I always see people getting helped fast, the line goes quickly. Pro tip: you don't have to be there right in the morning. Wait a couple hours and come in, you'll be fine. Year round, we're a fan of their breakfast burrito mix of meats- just cook it up with eggs and you have yourself a filling meal. Then there's the dog bones.... Altogether, this is a simple and unassuming place, a bit old fashioned, but very much solid.
