    Burnt End Burrito
    Izabella S.

Really decent bbq. I wouldn't say it's up there with the big options but it is really good. Tried the pulled pork sandwich and the burnt end burrito. The pulled pork was good, I added their regular bbq sauce and had a size of their baked beans and it was very fillling. The meat had a little Smokey flavor and the sauce only enhanced it. The burnt ends burrito was also VERY filling. Wasn't a big fan of the coleslaw inside but besides that, it all melded together and tasted amazing. Preferred their sweet bbq sauce with this one. Their fries were okay, nicely salted but felt almost stale but I see their potential. The staff was super friendly and the restaurant itself was clean. You order down the line and then you get to choose where you sit.

Fourth Fridays! The rub truck is LEGIT! - A woman and a man sit outside a restaurant, with the woman taking a selfie. The woman is smiling, wearing sunglasses on her head, and the man is wearing sunglasses and holding a partially eaten burger.

Checked out The Rub food truck at fourth fridays in downtown Olathe. Food came out super quick, no wait and very delicious!

Mac & Cheese Bowl - A meal with pulled pork topped with fried onions, a bottle of KC Bier, and a bottle of Aquafina water on a restaurant tray.

Amazing food with great portions! I love the signature Mac & cheese bowl. This is hands down my favorite BBQ in KC!

Staff was great with what their favorite meat was. Also gave me a sample of one of the others for I could try it. BBq was cooked well and had a good bark. Had a very good seasoning.

We came here for dinner after working out at Genesis gym across the street. The customer service from the gentleman behind the counter serving the food was exceptional. He knows the product and is great at making recommendations. Very helpful. The vibe is great. Music playing in the background and large tvs with sports on. It's a relaxed casual atmosphere. You come in order at the counter and sit down with your food. There is a fountain drink machine. It's a Pepsi restaurant and has sweet and unsweet tea. The ribs were tender and really good. The burnt ends were plentiful and good flavor. The original barbecue sauce was my go to. The sweet sauce was not bad. I enjoyed the relaxed environment and look forward to trying one of their bowls next time. Everyone that works there is kind and friendly.

You've tried the rest, now try the best ribs! Fall off the bone tender. Smoked just right. I love the sweet BBQ sauce. Friday's they have a special price for 1/2 slab of ribs and a side.

I was a kc joes ride or die until I had my last first date here and I am HOOKED! Best flavor and moist meat ever. I actually had kc joes last week because I was close to one and couldn't eat it, it was so salty and dry compared. I'm now spoiled and a die hard fan. But don't want too many to know. Or they will be overly busy too. I love you guys!!!! Best slaw and onion straws too.

I'm vegetarian & I always find something great to eat here. My boyfriend LOVES just about anything here & he's super picky but a big meat eater. I'd recommend this place to just about anyone I know. Food is always awesome & the service is unmatched. The ambiance is super cute but also your typical bbq family restaurant, they have a really cool photo wall with a picture of all their kiddos so it's definitely family friendly plus a great place to hang out.

Ok, KC outsiders should probably not rate KC BBQ places but I give this a 4 of 5. Great service and the ribs were great but my idea of great is good rub and fall off the bone so mission accomplished. I dipped in the sauce which I thought was good. Sides were great, fries were insane...fresh and crispy. Only room for improvement is beer choice. My bud had the burnt ends, and he is local and the lasted 5 min. Minnesota BBQ guy approves

It's not a holiday weekend in Kansas City unless some BBQ is involved; so I drove from the northland all the way out to Kansas' 4th largest city - Olathe to check off another place on my BBQ list - The Rub. Unfortunately it rubbed me the wrong way. I ordered the 3 ribs and brisket with onion straws. The brisket was sliced razor thin; I've never seen any BBQ joint slice meat so thin. I assume that it allows the meat to fold and create the illusion of more meat in the pile. As far as taste - it was tender and had a tinge of smoke. The ribs were even a bigger disappointment. They were fairly small and the outer bark was leather. I used the 3 sauces for dipping my onion straws. The original was lame, the spicy had a terrible after taste yet the sweet was actually a nice dip. Certainly not worth a drive across town for a 2nd try. One and done.

A foam takeout container holds pulled pork, a bun with meat, a cup of water, and a side of coleslaw, served for casual dining.

I figured I would go and get lunch here considering I really loved my lunch the other day. It really does feel like a cafe inside of Adrian's and with it being like 45 degree randomly today, it was so comfortable, cozy, and felt very neighborhood oriented. While I had been disappointed at first by the service on the phone, I recognize that they had someone training and it's hard to balance all of the orders they get! The owner actually called me back when I hung up after being on hold for a sec, which is absolutely going the extra mile. I was already on my way and going to place that order but gosh he was so awesome! Rare anymore these days that anyone lets you try anything before you get to buy it and the owner let me try their chicken salad (since I was skeptical) and they had run out of chicken breast for the day. I really try to stick to mainly eating chicken, but the owner convinced me to try some of their bacon on top of it and it is one of the best sandwiches I can say I've had. Absolutely will be a regular at this location. Everything is delicious. Everything is fresh. You won't believe that you can get quality like this at a corporate restaurant, but you CAN

It's a lovely restaurant. It seems a bit out of the way with mostly corporate buildings around. The restaurant has a nice modern aesthetic. I like the purple hyacinths hanging from the ceiling in one area. It was very steady for an off time in the afternoon. First, our server Olivia was amazing! Very attentive and we were extra needy this day so I really appreciate her patience. We even dropped food on the floor. Oops! She was so nice about it and cleaned it up immediately. We had customizations and extra requests. No problem for her! She went above and beyond. I hope she sees this because she was such a joy! The food was also very good. We started with the biscuits and one peach compote and one blueberry. Both were yummy. They were traditional drop biscuits and I love a good biscuit! We also had an order of fried green tomatoes on goat cheese grits. You get 4 very large slices. I could only eat one. The grits were yummy but there were not enough of them in relation to the friend green tomatoes. They were also encased by a sauce. I'm guessing a remoulade. I don't really care for remoulade sauce so I'd have removed it had I known it came with the dish. It really overpowered the goat cheese taste in the grits. The tomatoes were very al dente and I would have preferred them cooked a bit more. The dish was still good but my least favorite and I would normally love anything with those ingredients and fried green tomatoes are a favorite so the remoulade (or whatever it was) sauce was a real problem for me. I would definitely get them again without the sauce because they are great otherwise. But that sauce just overpowers every other flavor! I got the chicken tender dinner and others in my party got the bone in fried chicken. Everyone liked their chicken. The tenders were a big size. 4 of them but I hit 2 meals out of them. Everyone liked the Parmesan rosemary potatoes. I really liked the bacon green beans. The only side we weren't impressed with was the Mac and cheese unfortunately. The cheese was not good. We got coffees and a chai. All of them were very good. A bit pricey for the amount you get though. Even with the smaller complaints, I'd still give th a 5 because of the outstanding service and the dishes were overall very good and large portions. We will definitely return and I hope to try out a breakfast item next visit!

The sauce was spot on: incredibly rich, creamy, and exactly what you want from a vodka sauce. The pasta was perfectly al dente, and the chicken portion was massive (honestly unheard of these days). That meatball was the real sleeper hit, though--tender, well-seasoned, and a great size. I added some of my own herbs and broccoli, but truthfully, the flavor was already there. The only minor miss was the garlic bread; it was a bit heavy on the cheese for me, but two minutes in the air fryer brought it right back to life. While we had finished eating only a short while earlier, we didn't take a sample. We did appreciate their gesture as they worked to drum up business. A few weeks later, my wife and I decided we would grab a carry out dinner. We ordered a medium pizza - pepperoni and meatball, the Cajun Chicken Pasta, and dessert - Crème Brûlée Donut and Chocolate Chip Cookie. The pizza had ample toppings and appeared to be cooked well. I was hoping for a crispier crust. The pasta was the surprise hit. A generous portion and well balanced flavor profile. The crème brûlée donut was certainly a hit... sinfully rich and delightful. Unfortunately, the cookie was overcooked. As I shared earlier, this was a carryout order. When I came into the restaurant, it was bustling. It felt modern and fresh. The restaurant is a long, narrow galley style restaurant with a glass walled kitchen on the right and seating on the left. Nicely adorned. It was a bit confusing though at first as no one was there to greet me and the cashier was halfway down the restaurant at the end of the kitchen. I was a bit early to arrive. I was greeted and was told my order was in the oven. As I waited, I felt awkwardly in the way of the wait staff as there is no waiting area. I saw our order come to the pass only to over hear they forgot to fire the garlic toast. Another 5 minutes wait. This was the only miss on our to go service. I offer grace as the gal working the pass was busting her tail. We'll be back as we want to try other items and we support our local businesses. Looking forward to a good second visit impression.
