They showed up on time and even though I was up a 4th floor walk up they managed to get all my furniture and stuff down in all under 2 hours! This is the worse experience I ever had. The lack of professionalism after we did a walk through and agreed on a price. It is so much to write but he damaged my property He placed my property wherever he wanted too. He is a swindler. He advertised he removes trash. I asked and said I'd call him another day to come get because I had to dismantle some more things. So i wanted him to come get it all at once but he volunteered to take it down and take the trash. Jay, you came and did the walk through yourself. There was nothing more in the house the day of the move. As for the landlords worker, I had no control over what the landlord does. I asked him to have his worker wait until you left, and he did. What did I lie about? You're making no sense. And still you don't address the multiple items damaged, the damage you did to the walls, your workers stoned on marijuana all day or the fact that they got into a fight on the front lawn of my new home. But, yeah, keep making excuses. Your business is terrible and should be avoided at all costs. Your guys smelled like marijuana all day. My fiance and the landlord noticed it. The few things you did wrap, you wrapped only on plastic. You promised me in the initial consult that every piece of furniture would be wrapped in moving blankets and plastic. You also promised all the picture frames would be boxed in cardboard, but they were shoved into the way overloaded truck and damaged. And you still haven't addressed the fact that your guys got into a shouting match on my front lawn. That was a great first impression to my new neighbors. At the end of the day, this entire move was a complete disaster and you should be embarrassed and ashamed by the level of service you provided. If this is what all your customers could expect, then you should just go out of business now, because it's terrible. read more

I will preface this by saying that my first scheduled mover was a no-show, so I was stranded at the storage unit without someone to help me. I asked a mover there if he knew someone who could help me, and he gave me Jay's Way's number. Spoke to Jay directly, said he would try and see what he could do. We stayed in touch for a solid 45 min as he tried to figure out logistics on short notice, and it worked out. I think he was short-staffed because he brought someone along who didn't have the enthusiasm Jay himself did, but the move was quick, thorough and affordable. He was super professional. I can't speak to what others' experiences may have been, but it's Covid, and moving companies are overextended and probably dealing with some unreasonable people. This was by far the worst moving experience I've ever had. Jay and his guy showed up reeking of marijuana and totally unprepared. They had no supplies to move out furniture. No blankets, no tape, no wrap despite being told several times prior to our move that these items were to be provided. Our furniture was so poorly moved and packed into our truck. Several pieces damaged with cracks, scraps, and dings. When we plugged in our TV at our new place screen completely cracked and destroyed. Contacted Jay several times regarding these issues with now response. When finally able to reach him he did nothing no compensation, no refund not even an apology. BEWARE HIRE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!! If I can leave less than one star I would. I had Jay move me and my girlfriend once before and it went off without a hitch. So I hire him to move me again two years later and here's were the problem starts. He never showed up even after confirming the night before. I continuously called him when 30 minutes past the agreed upon arrival time he was still a no show. I think I must have called him 10-15 times still never receiving an answer before I finally gave up and rented a uhaul and did it with the help of friends and family. Reales of Marijuana ,charged me 700 dollars plus demanded tips for 3 hours of work. Rushed through the job couldn't be done quick enough. Broke a tv, a dresser, and an armoire. Demands to be paid in cash so he wont have to pay taxes I assume and refuses to give you an invoice and left the site after 3 hours of work and one of his men did showed up to the move 2.5 hours late. May God have mercy on your soul if you book him to move some furniture. read more

Jay and his team were very helpful, professional and efficient. Jay came to my place personally to gave us an estimate. We negotiated and agreed on a flat rate for the move. The previous mover we hired a few months back had trouble fitting everything in the truck but Jay and his team were able to load all our furnitures and boxes quickly and efficiently (the trucks were the same size). HIRE ANYONE ELSE!!! These guys were just alright BUT THEN THEY STOLE OUR STUFF. The team showed up late, moved excessively slowly, left their trash allover the building, took apart light fixtures and didn't put them back, and took a break every half hour... but I wasn't that bothered by it because the team leader (not Jay but a guy that works for many moving companies including Jay's Way) was really friendly and helpful and they were careful with our stuff. And even when it took them SIX hours to move our stuff out of our old apartment (it was a five floor walk-up, the whole move took 9.5 hours), I was willing to chalk it all up to the heat and circumstance. Then they left with two of our boxes. And sure, we should have counted, but it was a long day. So we emailed them right away to ask to return the stuff. At first Jay was responsive, and said he'd deliver it that week. He never did. And still hasn't. It's been 6 weeks. They've stopped responding completely and I'm starting to think we won't see any of it again. So if you care about keeping the things you are hiring a mover for, I would recommend ANY OTHER COMPANY.
