Simply amazing service and human being. He helped move my aunt who is sick and elderly and he went above and beyond in every single way. Don't even think twice. Hire him for moving you small and medium moves. This is actually the second time I've hired him. Thank you so much! read more

I have used Erv to move a bunch of small to medium items on multiple occasions, and each time Erv has been super kind, communicative, and reliable. Most recently, my wife and I had purchased some chairs that we needed to return to a store in upper Manhattan, but couldn't make the trip again from Brooklyn with out two kids. Erv came to our apartment in Brooklyn, picked up the chairs and brought them back to the store. This saved us a huge amount of time and energy and Erv did it all for a reasonable price and huge smile. Highly recommend!!! read more

Erv is reasonably priced "man with a van"! Helped move a heavy futon sofa-bed up to our third floor walk-up, which took a lot of careful maneuvering. Nice guy too. read more

Erv was super responsive and communicative. He came on a busy Sunday (Halloween!) to help me move some boxes from the UWS to my daughter in Brooklyn. He ran a little late due to the traffic but texted me with updates the whole time. Super nice guy. And affordable. Will def use again. Thanks, Erv! read more

Erv delivered my new large screen TV from P C Richards in Brooklyn to my apartment in Manhattan. Courteous, prompt service with no hassle.

Quick and responsive! Erv was the most affordable mover I had received a quote from and he was a very nice gentleman he was late but communicated with me the entire time I would highly recommend hiring him to move items just make sure you give him all the detail when he's giving you a quote and definitely tip this man he came through when I was in a bind so I hope this review helps get him more business as living in nyc I've learned it's hard to find people who are genuinely honest and not trying to price gauge! Hire Erv if you need to get a furniture piece moved and he will definitely help you out! And he is busy sometimes so have to give him notice if you need him to move something. read more

Erv is very nice and communicative. We engaged him to move my couch and my study desk to my sister's apartment. My couch is wide and he was able to move it efficiently. He charged us a reasonable fee! We will certainly engage him again for future small moves. I highly recommend Erv! read more

Erv helped me move 84 pounds of lighting fixtures to the top floor of a 5-story walkup and somehow made it all enjoyable.

Moved one item from Astoria to the Bronx. Erv is just a really genuine guy with fair pricing and a van. :) He was professional in that he was on time, courteous and wrapped the item with care. Would use him again without hesitating. read more

Erv is highly reliable and very detailed. Great in communication and very nice too. I needed a last minute help in moving stuffs out of storage to another storage. Reasonable price and professional! Will definitely hire him again. Thanks Erv! read more

Erv is simply the best. I've worked with several similar services over my years in NYC ... Erv really stands apart as extra awesome!! I called him last minute on a Sunday evening, as I had just decided to purchase a sofa. He was extremely easy to work with, clear and more than fair on rates, and communicative about timeframes. Moving the couch down a very narrow stairwell was no easy task ... but with Erv's ingenuity and great spirits we got the job done quickly! I went from zero plan to having my new couch at home within a few hours. I can't say enough good things about Erv. Excellent work, amazing price, and great vibes :) read more

Erv's is fantastic! We needed someone to help us get a washing machine down 2 flights of stairs and into another neighborhood. Herve got back to us super quickly, and after we sent him the specs for the washing machine, came back with a quote that blew everyone else's out of the water, and without much notice (it was 3 days from the time we reached out to the day of the move). Day of, he was super communicative (and apologetic for being slightly late, which in my experience is par for the course with moving in NYC). It turns out a washing machine is super awkward to move, especially down stairs, but they handled it with flying colors, and the whole thing went smoother than I had hoped. They let me ride in the van back to our apartment, and were super friendly and chatty for the 15-minute or so ride. Everything got into our apartment in one piece - there was a slight scratch (totally cosmetic) that they caused and immediately pointed out, which I appreciated. Honest movers, who knew? To sum up: If you need a man with a van who is friendly, reliable and affordable, you really can't do much better than Erv's :) read more

Needed a large dresser moved in Nassau from one house to another. Erv asked some basic questions and gave me a quote that was fair as well as worked around our schedules. He came with an assistant and had the job done perfectly in less than a hour. Highly recommend for any job that can be done with a large van. read more

Erv was awesome!! He responded quick to my enquiry and called to confirm all the details. He wanted to be thorough and ensure he could complete the job. They moved the couch I bought super quickly and easily. The whole process was stress free. Him and his helper were super friendly too. I really enjoyed chatting with them which was an added bonus. I highly recommend using Erv for any moving needs! read more

There are good reasons why he has no less than five stars. A good mover and a better man. When you need help, call Erv! read more

Erv is the best, hands down. We have worked with him twice - once to move a couch and another to move a large credenza. He works with you to find the least expensive way to move your piece (for us that meant my husband helped move instead of bringing on a second guy), and he is incredibly detail oriented from the first. He likes to have photos of what needs to be moved so that he can be sure he has everything he needs to do the job when he arrives and he moves with precision around tight corners and staircases, he didn't leave a scratch behind! I was shocked was able to fit the couch into its final room due to tight measurements and unforgiving angles, but he found a way! Erv is an absolute gem! I'd give him 10 stars if I could! read more

Great service and great attitude. Made moving easy and very reasonable rates. I will use again! *Update 9/17/16: I have used Erv 2 more times since my first post. Great guy and very reasonable. Will continue to call Erv when I need help moving! read more

Erv was great! Very reasonable price for moving one item from Curb to curb but as it turns out he's a pretty nice guy and helped with getting the things into his van and didn't watch me struggle. Maintains good communication if you're waiting for him to find you and I will definitely be using him again he's awesome. read more

The BEST!!! Super nice, responsive and reliable. I would definitely hire Erv and his assistant again AND would highly recommend!

Erv did an excellent job moving furniture for us. He was clear in his communication, punctual, competitive in his pricing and a pleasure to deal with on-site. I will be using his services again and can recommend him to anyone else looking for man-with-a-van services. read more

Erv was awesome! I had been trying to get a table from Out of the Closet to my home for a week. I took to Yelp, called a few others that were also at the top of the search list, but Erv was the only one to even answer! He was able to meet me at the store the same day. Thanks Erv! I'll certainly reach out again! read more

I spent some time stressing on Craigslist and Yelp about how to move a stranger's couch (okay, technically a friend of the brother of my brother's girlfriend) into my apartment without paying some overpriced moving service. I called Erv the day before the move, didn't get an answer, and continued to call other men with vans. Fortunately, Erv called me back later the same day and blew all of the other people's quotes out of the water. ($100 for moving the couch down four flights of narrow stairs, driving it across Park Slope, and maneuvering it into my ground-floor apartment). Erv arrived directly from another job with his friend Bryce, and they proceeded to be excellent, helpful and efficient in every way. The hardest part of moving the couch was getting it through the door of my apartment, but they handled it like pros, and now the couch is sitting happily in my living room. My boyfriend and I carried the couch cushions and didn't do much of anything besides that. Oh, but we did have fun riding across the neighborhood with Erv and Bryce, who provided entertaining commentary on everything from George W. Bush and Obama to Keanu Reeves. These guys made everything so much easier; I will definitely give them a call if I have to move that couch again. read more

THIS MAN IS AMAZING! Erv responded immediately to my phone call and came over an hour later on a Sunday afternoon! He brought the heaviest couch up to our third floor apartment in about fifteen minutes. The whole thing was $50 and he's literally my hero. Call him if you ever need something moved read more

Another GREAT move by Erv, this time just a platform bed frame, but all went smooth and a great price. Erv had previously moved me 4 times from apartment to apartment, and with all the hassle of moving it was great not to have to worry about having a reliable mover--and each move went great. read more

Erv was a lifesaver! Responded instantly and was able to come in just 40 min on a Sunday night. So nice and friendly too!!!

Really, as good as it gets - 5 stars. Being a single female in my 20s - yeah I was seriously apprehensive and STRESSED OUT about finding a trustworthy mover to carry me and my stuff. After lots of google searching, I thankfully found Erv, a truly nice, easy-going guy in his 40s with a van. He takes away the logistical stress of moving, and seems like he's been doing it for YEARS (although he said only about 5) He's very procedural and after 10 minutes you recognize that you are in good hands. The move was done almost as effortlessly as can be. He's a good driver (although the van is old, it does the job) and really knows the Brooklyn area. So, he's inexpensive, nice, trustworthy, efficient -- so glad I found him. read more

Thanks to craigslist, I was able to procure a beautiful pub style marble dining table with six chairs. When it was time to move the table and chairs from Manhattan, Erv was soooo helpful with every step of the way. He was very professional, and courteous ; even though the table was beyond heavy, he didn't complain, and found a way to make everything work. Will definitely keep him in mind anytime I need a mover. read more

They have the nicest guys ever! I'm 7months pregnant and contacted Erv the night before I wanted a very large dresser pick up from craigslist. He got right back to me with a responsible price. He showed up early, unfortunately I had train issues and met him late but he waited patiently. They were very professional, I'd definitely use them again. read more

Erv is the man! He has helped me move twice for a great price. He's also an all-around lovely human and he makes the hellish process of moving so much more pleasant. I wouldn't call anyone else and I tell all my friends about him. read more

Erv is GREAT! Not only is he a really nice guy, he helped me move my stuff very quickly out of my storage unit, which was closing soon. My apartment is also tricky to move into, and he figured everything out and moved my stuff in there efficiently and for a GREAT price! His van also has a lot of space. I would use him for my next move and highly recommend him to anyone moving around the NYC area. read more

Erv is awesome! We used him two days in a row. Super flexible, reasonable, and just a great man all around. Also a great communicator, even if he is running a few minutes behind, letting people know is key, and he understands great customer service. read more

Definitely call Erv if you are looking to move within NYC. He is a super nice guy, very accomodating and pleasant. We encountered some nasty neighbors of mine while moving, but Erv was totally calm about it and had such a good attitude the whole time. I didnt have that much stuff to move, but I moved to a 5 floor walkup. He was cool about it and we got it done in great time-- charging me only $60. He also made sure to check in with me a few times a few days before the move, and I felt like he was very reliable and responsible. Hes fast, reliable, effiiciant and all at a great price! Highly recommended. read more

Erv is a lifesaver! My boyfriend and I bought a couch at Costco and had no way to get it to our apartment. I found Erv on yelp, and he helped us move the couch that same day. He is very kind, professional, and trustworthy. I will definitely use him again in the future! read more

Erv was punctual, very kind, and gentle with my antique desk. I bought a small antique desk in Chelsea which had to be moved to my elevator building in South Brooklyn. I was planning to help with the move. All the other movers I called quoted twice the price that Erv quoted me! It's a simple job. Anyway, Erv brought his hand trolley which made the job easier. He even avoided scraping up my desk when loading and unloading into his van. I will definitely use his service in the future! read more
