My move was scheduled between 9a - 11a on a Saturday, I received a text at 8:15a that they'd be at my pickup place at 9a. I'm like, "Yikes get moving". I headed to Harlem, praying I'd find parking . I received a pleasant Good morning greeting, at 8:45 from Mike..."I'm here at the apartment." I was shocked, yet excited for two reasons: (1) I found parking & (2) I rushed into my niece's building to catch the elevator that was actually waiting for me. "Shocker" This never happens! The day was starting off well (Thank you Universe). Now with the move...Mike entered the apt, to confirm the items, as discussed with Mia. He said he'd be back shortly & to start. Him & Vlad moved into action. OMG! The precision, moving like a nice dancing-waltz and taking exceptional care of each item was impressive. When Mike & Vlad arrived at my apt on the UWS, I greeted them near the freight entrance and ramp. I gave them instructions, and Mike said we'll meet you at your Apt shortly. In less than 20 minutes, they were at my apt; unloading & unwrapping & place each piece where I instructed. The move was done by 11:15a. WOW‼ I'm a morning person, and was delighted that this project was finally over, completed in a timely manner and a great experience because of Mike & Vlad. Mia was able to provide me the COI pretty quickly, no headaches. When move day came, two movers came They came on time and were very efficient at moving and putting everything back together. iMOVE packed all the belongings from our 3 bedroom apartment in Queens, NY and moved them to southern Alabama. For someone who had to move ahead of time and then hire movers to pack all of our stuff, I couldn't have asked for a smoother long distance "contactless" move! iMOVE came to our apartment on a Tuesday to look at all our stuff, took inventory and estimated having to pack up 50 boxes worth of items -- all for a fairly reasonable price. Sonia worked with me to get the initial inventory list. The manager, Marco, called me by video chat to confirm everything visually. On Thursday, they came to pack up all the boxes full of clothes, supplies, kitchenware, etc. On Friday, they packed the entire apartment onto their truck and Marco called me on video to confirm all the progress and finalize what was done. By Sunday morning, hundreds of miles later, 2 iMOVE employees were already at the new house, and ready to move things in! Omar and his assistant carried all items to their respective rooms and reassembled whatever they needed to take apart for the move. Both employees were very respectful, careful and hardworking. I would like to say first of all. This company is the company you need if you're moving in a prompt and timely fashion. From the customer service to the movers to the overall experience was great. I must say it was a pleasure working with them. When I made my initial appointment regarding what time the movers had to be there they called a half an hour in advance and got there on time. I moved at the end of September, and these guys were great. Early that morning I was informed that my entire neighborhood was closed off for a marathon (!!!) and the town hadn't properly informed everyone. We had NO idea (obviously, or I wouldn't have scheduled a move). No car or truck could go in or out of my neighborhood - everything was cordoned off so the runners/walkers could have access to the streets. I was extremely worried that my move would have to be rescheduled! The movers arrived and at first they were trying to figure out how they could park blocks away and CART everything to the truck... which would have been a massive pain in the butt for them and a lot more work. Eventually they were let in. They were friendly, courteous, and patient; understanding of the nightmare we were dealing with and efficient with the move. Long story, but we've had to move four times in the last two years. The silver lining is that we used iMove the first time and have happily re-hired them each time since. The most recent was a two-man crew led by Omar, and they cheerfully lugged our stuff down three flights of stairs from our old place and up four flights of stairs into our new place. (Omar's crew partner is literally a powerlifter!) In addition to being fast and efficient, Omar's an unusually nice guy and interesting to talk to. My movers (I believe the names were Omar and Alejandro) and they were so so sweet. I was late and they didn't make me feel bad and kept being so patient (although since I was late, the manager from the company called and told me it was going to be $100 because I was an hour late, but even he was kind and just charged me $50 instead of $100).
