This is the first time I'm writing review in comparison, but I think it will help many people to chose the best service. We used to working before with NYC messenger company. They were not always good, especially recently- messenger was late, a few times had the wrong address etc., but this time it was totally unacceptable from the beginning - the guy on the phone was rude, disrespectful and not even letting me finish giving him the address, was constantly interrupting. His tone was like he's the only one in the whole world who can pick up and deliver the 3lb bag from the center of Manhattan to Manhattan Downtown :-) So I just hung up to not waste my time and tried LightSpeed Express. LightSpeed Express is fast, respectful, responsible, professional, friendly. Arrived and delivered so fast, I didn't believe. Delivery guy is smart, friendly and professional. Would like to know his name. Guy on the phone, Pablo, is very detail oriented and focused on client's needs (unlike the NYC messenger one). Price is same as NYC Messenger, BTW. The best part is that our client, who received delivery, was super happy about their service as well. Used their service on Friday January 24 for delivery from Flatiron area to Church street Manhattan. Will use LightSpeed Delivery again and recommend to everyone. read more

I needed my luggage to be picked up from the airport and delivered to my hotel while we went straight to sightseeing. I reached out to see if they were able to perform the service and they were very responsive. I called and set it all up over the phone in about two minutes. Due to extreme security at one world trade center our company did not meet insurance requirements needed to access the loading area. I was referred to Lightspeed from One World Trade Center as they are pre-approved for delivery. Charles from Lightspeed was nothing short of spectacular walking me through the process. I cannot say enough great things about Robert and the entire Lightspeed crew! I requested information on Saturday night around 21:30 and had a reply within minutes. Robert offered solutions to our issue, recommendations of places to purchase what we needed, etc. He responded to my questions and messages for nearly an hour on a Saturday night, after business hours. Sunday morning, when things were situated as I needed, Robert set up the pickup and delivery of my items, and Charles had our items delivered within an hour of my phone call. Have never used a courier service before so have no idea how their prices compare, but given the circumstances, I thought it was reasonable. My (very valuable, to me) package was picked up within an hour of my call, and delivered a few hours later. Contactless pickup and delivery , were perfect--includiing having to walk up and down 4 flights of stairs at pickup and 3 flights at delivery. Fine experience all around. read more

I needed to have a set of keys delivered from Midtown to Inwood, which is at the northernmost tip of the island. Two competitors (Fly Over the City and Zipments) were unable to help. One was closed on the weekend and the other did not deliver to Inwood. Luckily, Lightspeed saved the day. The delivery was prompt and convenient at all stages. My wife and I decided to buy a window A/C unit for our daughter who was moving in NYC. We purchased a unit online from the Sam's Club in Secaucus NJ without knowing she could not go pick it up. That led us to a search for how to get it from the Sam's to her apartment. I went online searching for a delivery service. Found Lightspeed, called them and they assured me everything would be just fine. The day of the delivery, they let me know they had picked it up from Sam's and delivered it to my daughter's apartment. What can I say? Used lightspeed for the first time yesterday. I called for a same-day messenger delivery of an envelope to a client. The price was VERY affordable. I gave him all the details and even wrote everything on the envelope as well. Got an email after pickup that it was delivered and signed for. The only issue I had was that I specified it go to the 4th floor, but i got a call from my client this morning saying they didn't receive it. Turns out the messenger left it at the lobby front desk and they forgot to let my client know there was a package. I'm not sure if the building security wouldn't let the messenger up to the 4th floor or if he didn't try. read more

All Lightspeed employees have great phone and business etiquette, but Margaret is the absolute BEST! She's so sweet and helpful and always goes the extra mile. I called pretty last minute on a Sunday night, needing a delivery for early Monday morning. The person on the phone was helpful, quick and the pickup/delivery went off without a hitch. So thankful for them getting it handled. The only reason(s) I'd give them 4 versus 5 stars is because I didn't receive a confirmation email, so spent the night crossing my fingers hoping it was being handled. And also they were considerably pricier than I would have liked, but for last minute AND reliable service they were worth paying for. I'd definitely use them again! read more
