I had a few days to calm down over the very simple pick up…read more When I called to make arrangements for the pick up, I had asked for an 11 am pick up but after speaking to the woman and factoring in the time I need to get to the location of the pickup, I had told her to push it back 1/2 an hour so the moving guy will not have to wait. I explained that I had the an industrial sewing machine which is about 4 feet tall and 5 feet wide. She asked me how much it weight and I clearly told her about 75 pounds or more. She told me she recommend a van and I agreed. I had for 1 guy because I had guys at pick up and drop off locations. The guy in essence will only need to drive the machine. You think this would be smooth sailing. At exactly 11:25, the machine was in the loading doc waiting for the guy to show up with the van. Half an hour goes by and I call the company asking where the van was. While I was on the phone with Jesse the moving guy comes up and asked me I was moving the machine. I see he has a minivan. WTF!!! what moving company will misrepresent their vehicles in such a flagrant LIE. A minivan is not a VAN! The guy tells him my machine in much bigger and is 200 pounds.

NY Minute arrived 30 minutes after my call, charged $12 on my credit card and whipped my box downtown lickety split! I hadn't even finished wrapping it up when they arrived and the guy sweetly helped me get everything together. Less than an hour later my stuff arrived at the destination and I hardly broke a sweat! Calling them back today (I forgot to get a receipt) the receptionist was incredibly friendly and quick. These guys are now on the office quick list for inter-city deliveries in a "NY Minute" and I'm still waiting for Mary Kate and Ashley to show up in bike shorts and backpacks...maybe next time.
