Konstantin and team are great. We found him by word-of-mouth. It makes a huge difference when the owner runs the business and has his name on the truck. The quality is more consistent than the big name companies where crews might be hit-or-miss. You could probably get a mover that's 10-20% cheaper but you won't get the quality. Don't risk it - hire someone who has been in business for a long time and knows what he's doing. We finished well ahead of schedule - whereas the last movers didn't even finish the job before disappearing - and Konstantin even helped fix some furniture. Whatever mover you take, I strongly suggest getting an in-person estimate to avoid surprises when they arrive. Couple questions to ask your mover: 1/ How long has your crew worked together? Do you use any temps? 2/ How many people and truck(s) will you bring? 3/ What are the crew's expectations on tipping, and do you split tips evenly? 4/ Do you charge more for credit cards? 5/ Will you bring plastic moving bins in advance so I can pack some things myself? read more

Konstantine was able to provide certificates of insurance coverage which are required by Co-op' and Condos and responded quickly to all phone calls and texts. The movers arrived early on the day of the move taking great care to wrap each piece of furniture expertly with protective blankets and movers tape to secure the blankets. They also put protective shrink wrap over the furniture to be moved to a Konstantly storage facility. They completed the move faster than expected which kept the cost within the original estimate even though we needed more packing materials for dishes and glassware than expected. Our daughter was moving from New York to Vancouver, Canada and these guys were contracted by TransCanada to move all her stuff to storage until the actual move to Canada. I hate moving. The whole experience is terrible, and it probably doesn't help that I collect a lot of stuff. For context, years ago my roommate and I moved ourselves together. While pushing a heavy box down 22nd street on a cart, my friend looked at the writing on the side of the box and said angrily "Wait, this is all 'cookbooks'?" I dramatically moved my hand to reveal that it actually said "Indian Cookbooks." Now I'm married and have two kids, so you can imagine the amount of junk we've accumulated. But Konstantin and his crew were great, and it could not have gone better. They were punctual, which alone goes a long way in my book. They were fast and hard working on a hot day. Careful with all our stuff. Easy to deal with, and fair on the business side. They handled the annoying parking situation in Dumbo, made an extra stop at my storage unit, and the entire crew was upbeat the whole time. They even came later after I'd unpacked to pick up the leftover packing material, which is great because I can't figure out how to get DSNY to pick up even my normal trash at my new house. Anyway, you should reach out to Konstantly if you're stuck moving. Final thought: please take care of your moving crew. Get them waters, sandwiches, whatever. Be courteous. This moving company was so great and definitely ON POINT. They came as a double recommendation (a friend, and their friend also)- but I was still nervous. Moving in NYC is nerve-wracking! But they called me, gave me a very fair quote, and I booked them. It was a little last minute, but they found an extra van and extra guys. They followed up a couple days before and then the day before to check in. Their show-up date was at 9am; at 8:30 I received a call that they would be there in 30 minutes! The move was efficient and friendly. I had about 50 boxes of books (I'm in school), so I know it wasn't fun, but they joked about it and loaded with a smile. When we got to our new spot, they put boxes and furniture in the rooms we asked them to. I got several quotes from various companies to move our 3 bedroom apartment with 2 pianos and 100+ boxes of books among other things into a 2 bedroom apartment. They gave us the most reasonable quote that made sense to us. They are easy to work with in terms of scheduling and how you want things done. The moving crew was punctual, fast, efficient, professional, and went above and beyond, especially when I was figuring out how to assemble a furniture on my own that was not even part of the move! Best moving experience I've had in 5+ moves within and finally out of the city. Adrian was great at nailing down the details I provided and provided me with a quote that lo and behold was what I ended up paying on moving day. No hidden fees, but it's also up to the customer to provide detailed inventory. I took pictures of everything, furniture, inside of drawers/closets/medicine cabinets and my storage room. I didn't surprise them with anything and they didn't surprise me with any hidden fees. Adrian was also flexible when I had to move my date up a week just two weeks in advance. Our family used Konstantly Moving to move our belongings from a large storage unit in the Bronx to our new house in CT. Our team--David, Alexei, and Nikita--arrived at the storage facility ahead of our scheduled time, before it was even open, and secured a prime loading dock. I was referred to konstantly moving from another company who could not accommodate me on a certain date and so they told me about this smaller company they work with, and boy am I happy they did. I was given a flat rate of $530 for a medium size one bedroom and they completed the move within 4 hours. Everything was perfect from the moment the arrived at my door with a smile till the end of the job where nothing was scratches and never a complaint even with my 4th floor east village walk up.
