Excellent coffee! The staff were so friendly and welcoming. All of the drinks we ordered were easily customizable as well! I ordered a frozen latte and my husband ordered a blended white mocha. Both were so refreshing while we were walking in Kihei (that's why we don't have a picture-we drank them too quickly)! Don't dismiss this coffee shop (it's in a shopping center)! read more

Popped in for a cup of coffee and a bite. I ordered a cappuccino and a chai latte for my daughter. Both served up perfectly. What really got my attention was the selection of croissants that they offer. Almond croissants are one of my favorite types of croissants so I ordered one of those and I will be back for more. So many yummy looking croissants in the bakery case. They also have other breakfast offerings and I would like to try those on a another visit. Spacious indoors and nice outdoor seating as well. This place was generally disappointing. We were there at 7:30am and they had a few slices of banana bread (sprinkled with ground coffee??) wrapped in cling wrap but none of the beautiful pastries other helpers have posted pics of. Wasn't busy when my significant other and I arrived and we ordered a mighty manny and a carrot tango smoothie. We alone waited 22 minutes and the drinks were watery. Stopped by right after picking up the fish tacos from coconut next door. The three staff were so enamored with the guy in front of me for messing up his drink that they just kept me hanging for 15 minutes to order. I wish I could get the tip back I left. What a horrible unfriendly non aloha vibe spot. Coffee isn't that good and the women working here treat you like you're inconveniencing them. This place had an instantly "hipster/classic" coffee shop vibe, in the best way possible. They've got a great selection and I was struck by how friendly (not the exhausted forced smile type) everyone was. Wish I was making this up. Went here 10/1/24 6:10am went to order lattes and pastries / croissants etc...I try the pastries first. Girl behind the counter 'Oh I'm sorry our pastries don't come in until 7:30, but we do have bagels'. Ok so I try to get 2 lattes 'Oh I'm sorry our espresso machine is broken'. Ok I need coffee so I order 2 coffee's 1 iced 1 hot both should have cream and 1 bagel with cream cheese. What comes back to me.......iced coffee with milk, hot coffee black and a bagel that was from yesterday because it could not have gotten that stale in the morning with a half small container of cream cheese that wasn't able to cover a half a bagel. The coffee was also really bad. It was brutal at best! read more

There is seriously some micro-aggression toward local/brown people from the staff here. I've only been here twice and both times the people that take my order are super rude and unfriendly. I came in on 9/27 and got a drink. Was not greeted or even said a word to the entire purchase. The snobby girl that was working around 7:30am scanned my drink and waited for me to disappear after paying. No thank you's or anything. Gave me the weirdest look too. Meanwhile, she switches up her vibe towards visitors. This also happened to me a few years ago where the people that take your order are super unfriendly toward brown people. I'd seriously reconsider going here if you live on the island. They are not friendly at all. read more

The prices do not reflect the quality of goods. The menu states "soy/almond $1.00" so when I asked for oat milk and was charged $1.50, I inquired about the menu showing a different price. All the young lady said was "sorry." and charged the full price anyway. I paid $7.50 for a subpar, lukewarm chai. There were two people ahead of me, all the tables were full, and the staff looked exasperated from the rush. Management has an opportunity to provide better training and support for their staff because incorrect pricing, a subpar product, and an overcharge left a bitter taste in my mouth long after I finished the 2-star chai. And, as a local, it's disappointing. Time for a new cafe to patronize... read more

Java Cafe is a cute spot with a cozy atmosphere, offering both indoor and outdoor seating. My boyfriend and I decided to give it a try for breakfast, and while the experience was pleasant, the food isn't something I'd write home about. I ordered the smoked salmon bagel, and my boyfriend got the breakfast special sandwich on a croissant. We shared both, and while the smoked salmon bagel was good, it wasn't anything special. It's not something I'd return for. My boyfriend's breakfast sandwich was also decent, but again, nothing that would bring us back. The cafe itself is super cute, with friendly staff and a quick turnaround on our order. You seat yourself and bus your own tables, which was fine for a casual spot like this. The real highlight, though, was the cinnamon roll pastry we grabbed. It didn't have a ton of frosting, but it was crunchy and soft at the same time--definitely the standout of our visit read more

They were out of ube, so I couldn't get an ube latte, but I got the mocha-nut latte instead and it did it disappoint! Very delicious. The apple danish? Probably top 5 cheese danishes I've had ever... and I am a self-proclaimed cheese danish connoisseur. This place is in the South Maui Gardens area. You'll see a blue old school car parked out front. Add this to your coffee list of places to try!

I like the fruit toppings on top (coconut, bananas, raspberries). The base is the same for every acai bowl. Vintage Kona Mocha 5/5 loveeeee the kona mocha. Its the perfect sweetness and coffee in a blended drink. The peaberry chips are a nice touch. Coconut Kona Mocha 5/5 this is similar to the vintage kona mocha but chocolate flavors are more apparent. If you love the taste of chocolate you should get this drink.

They have quite a few specialty drinks and this place is good for people that like big size coffees, but as for coffee bean quality it is not the place to appreciate a great coffee. Ambiance is relaxed and island vibe. Great customer service and super fast. We ordered a Latte and a Hot Chocolate Lava for my daughter. Super sweet drinks if you are into that, made with care, but like I said not for Coffee Drinkers experts.

Sooo full of flavor, bold (I'm a mom so I need strong coffee lol) and fresh. The service is so cool and kind. All the workers are personable, seem happy to be there, and manage long lines and busy times really well. Today, I ordered a slice of their guava cake. OMG. Refreshing, delicious, and so fluffy. I'm Cuban, and it reminds me of the guava pastelitos but lighter and Napili style. My husband loves their Creamy Banana Freezes. His words "top 5 drinks of all time" we had one every day. This spot has been a regular constant on our trips to Napili Kai. Thanks yall for creating such a hip, cozy, coffee store with delicious coffee and treats. Come to California!!!
