Not too well versed with Indo food but this was pretty decent. Some of the meat was a little dry tbh, the rice dish was really fit for sharing. Overall decent.

Y'all need to come and support this local small business! Every time I'm craving some Indonesian food, I'm here! The cashier person kept calling me by my name, he was friendly. Called in, had my food ready, table ready! Ate the food, and ambiance was good too! Much respect for this place. Glad they are still around. Decent prices as well.

Absolutely delicious food, might be my top spot for Indo food in SoCal. I had the mie rica rica and mie goreng. Both were amazing but the mie goreng especially was so flavorful and had the perfect proportions of meat, noodles, veggies, etc. Service was lovely and they also sell various Indonesian cakes, groceries, and goodies at the cashier and in the store connected to the restaurant. Hoping to be back here very very soon.

We ordered a takeout on a weekend and the wait was around 20 minutes. They have a small market next door to also shop around for some snacks. Nasi bungkus Padang- So good!! It was served in a banana leaf and gave a lot of meat! There were different kinds of meat mixed with the rice. The hot sauce they had was super spicy and we asked for it on the side. Crispy flakes fried chicken with rice- So crispy!! The portion was big was the two pieces and the crispy flakes paired with everything. Would come back again to try other things on the menu!

OMG!!!! YUMMY for my tummy. The food was outstanding! I hadn't had Indonesian food in over a year and this quaint, ordinary strip mall restaurant slayed! There is a QR code on the table with the menu on it and the ladies will assist you if you need help. I ordered food via the app and it came out quickly, hot and delicious! Hubs was the only "white" person in the place. Everyone else was Indonesian. In my book, that means this little gem is the real deal. In fact, we came back a couple of hours later for dinner with other family members. Next to the restaurant is a grocery where you can purchase different sambal, noodles, assorted spices, pastries, etc. I am 1000% so glad I found this place!

It was surprisingly nice to find an Indonesian restaurant closer to Coachella valley. It's located next to a small Indonesian groceries. The restaurant also sells Indonesian snacks. I got Bakso Gili (Indonesian noodles and meatballs soup) - the portion is super generous. My BF got Kwetiaw Goreng. We also got snacks, Mie Ayam Jamur and Nasi Padang to go. Would definitely return.

This is perfect place to fulfill Indo food's crave. Unfortunately I regret to inform that soto betawi - soup's taste was bland despite portion was quite generous. While bakso gili - soup tasted great and it was a big portion. The indonesian pancake (kept in the fridge and good for take away) was soooooo delish, but it is quite pricey compared to another place sold same thing in the area. Service was great, everyone seems so accommodating and friendly. In addition to the restaurant, there is grocery store next door that is a great option to shop authentic Indonesian grocery.

I went on this Wednesday before Thanksgiving and found out that the steam noodle, the noodle is not the regular handmade one but the one like we made it at home (store bought noodle)! Even my kids noticed it when they ate it! What a surprise, so disappointed!

It's hot, tasty, and the same portion all the time. The store itself is in the same plaza as 99 ranch. It's a cute little cafe looking shop. Sometimes there's a wait to get in, but the turnover is mostly quick. You can order through Uber Eats or online through their website. My favorite is how numbing and actually spicy the dishes are. I love being in pain, and when you ask for spicy, you will get spicy. My go to is the chongqing zajiang or the yibin burning noodles. I've also tried chengdu zajiang and the sour pickled mustard with shredded pork, the stir fried potatoes, and the chicken with chili sauce. All dishes were excellent. They were very filling and delicious. The prices are extremely reasonable because they give you a good amount of food and the quality is great. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We ordered the cold chicken and cold beef appetizers, and both were disgusting. They were cold, unappealing, and lacked the quality I would expect from a restaurant charging these prices. The chicken fried rice had very little chicken and seemed to have way too much soy sauce. The tofu with white rice was also bland and not appealing. The noodles were extremely al dente--almost like they were cooked for an Italian pasta dish. Meanwhile, the dumplings were overcooked. The service was another disappointment. Our server didn't even ask what we wanted to drink. We all ended up with water because the server never came back to offer us anything else. And then came something I found absolutely ridiculous: we were told by the servers that if the restaurant became busy, we might have to move from our table or share the table with other customers. What kind of dining experience is that? If I'm paying restaurant prices for my meal, I expect to be able to sit at my table and enjoy my dinner without being told that strangers may be seated with us. For the prices they charge, I expected much better food, preparation, service, and overall hospitality. Instead, the food was either bland, overly dependent on soy sauce, undercooked, or overcooked, and the service was poor. Unfortunately, after this experience, I would not return. Very disappointing from start to finish.

I was surprised because there was only one couple in the restaurant besides us and they had already received their food. They could have been busy with online orders, but I still felt like it was slow service for being nearly empty inside. They have a self serve sauce bar. It just has soy, soy mixed sauce, chili oil, and black vinegar. I ordered the Wide Hand Pulled Noodles, Green and Onion Pot Stickers, and the Beef Rolls. Wide Hand Pulled noodles were ok. Honestly not much to brag about. I thought the noodles were cooked well but the flavor didn't really stand out to me. I believe it's served with chili oil, a mound of minced garlic and some vegetables. Outside of those ingredients I thought it needed more flavor or substance. The beef rolls were ok to me as well. I liked how crispy the roll was and size. Good portions of sliced beef served with cilantro. It was refreshing but the meat was generally cold with some warmness provided by the roll. But that quickly faded. Would prefer it to be warmer. The highlight was the pot stickers. Beef and onion were good. Really enjoyed the presentation of the dish. The edges of the pot sticker were really thick. Almost chip like. I enjoyed it as much as the dish itself. Would get it again. Overall I thought the food was ok. I'm sure there are better highlight dishes than what I ordered but they weren't selected this go around. Also the prices are a little higher than most dumpling spots so I just expected more.

Many of the dishes are meant to be shared, making it a good spot to order a few plates for the table. The cucumber salad is a solid starter. It is something refreshing to snack on while you wait for the rest of your food. I ordered the Cheese and Chicken Rolls along with the Golden Prime Beef Soup. The rolls were rather greasy and indulgent, and I would probably skip them next time. If you must try them, I'd recommend limiting yourself to one or two pieces. The Golden Prime Beef Soup, on the other hand, packs a serious kick. If you can't handle much spice, definitely let the staff know. Those bright red chilies aren't just for show; their heat permeates the entire broth. My conclusion is about the same as my introduction: the fare is inoffensive, but it's consistent and good. It's a dependable option when you're looking for a casual Chinese meal without much fuss.

Luckily I got a regular-customer/birthday dinner exemption. They made it clear this was a one-time special and we could only get dumplings... which worked out perfectly because dumplings were all I wanted. The monster was briefly terrified at the thought of being denied, but the second they said yes -- OH MY G!!! We ordered three rounds of the classic soup dumplings, one order of the black truffle dumplings, and one order of the chocolate dumplings for dessert. Sizzling plates used to be THE big thing in the early and mid 2000s with lots of boba places having them as as specialty (RIP Coffee Break and MJ's Tea House), but now aside from a handful of businesses and Pepper Lunch, they're much more rare. Glad that the IE has Sizzlin' Place as one of their sizzling plate heavy hitters. Aside from the sizzling plates, they have other menu items including fried appetizers, soup and dried noodles, and sides like fries and takoyaki, but if you're going to a sizzling plate place, you gotta get a sizzling plate, you know? That's decorum. Service is welcoming and friendly, and efficient in the safest way possible with the scorching hot plates. Seating can get limited due to the nature of the meal, but I've never had an issues the times I chose to eat here. Ambiance can be relaxed and chill when the Haven City Market isn't busy, but during weekends or rush hour, it can get a bit hectic and there may be a bit of a wait. A staple that you can never go wrong with is the hot plate beef and if you're a carnivore or if you're sharing, you have to upsize and upgrade it. The slices of beef here are just slightly thicker than what I'm used to at Pepper Lunch, but that just means it'll shrink less and get less stuck on the hot plate as well. You get a hearty serving of rice with some corn on top, pepper, and green onions. Like other sizzling plate places, you can always get pasta or udon instead of rice, if you're feeling a bit more adventurous. Super hot, filling meal that's easy to eat. Not the most flavorful sometimes, at least with what I order, and in comparison to other competitors, but hits the spot when need be.
