They should have called it the perfect cup and grill cafe. Because everything that came off the grill was really delicious. Eggs over easy, scrapple and some fantastic specialty rye toast. Our first time here was just yesterday after visiting Winterthur, and what a delightful surprise!…read moreSome friends and I stopped in unexpectedly for a late lunch, and it did not disappoint. Two of us had the mushroom quiche, which was outstanding -- a perfect balance of egg and cream, with delicious, hearty mushrooms. The Chardonnay was wonderful, and judging by the wine case, they seem to have a thoughtfully curated selection from France. My partner arrived a bit later and ended up bringing home what may have been the best pizza either one of us has ever had. As if that weren't enough, we were back in the area again today and had our third straight meal here. I had the turkey baguette sandwich and, yes, another glass of the same delicious Chardonnay. My partner had the deviled eggs and a fresh mozzarella, tomato, and pesto sandwich. Everything was excellent, and we're so glad we found this place!

Traveling all the way from California to visit family, we were so excited to stop in for high tea…read more While our server was kind and welcoming, the overall experience unfortunately fell well short of expectations. As my partner owns a tea room and is a certified tea sommelier, we had high hopes, but the menu itself contained major structural errors (such as listing green and black teas under herbal varieties), and the staff lacked baseline tea knowledge. More concerningly, the food quality was unacceptable: the finger sandwiches tasted stale and dry, and the clotted cream served to our table was spoiled. For the price point of a traditional high tea, we expected much higher standards of freshness, food safety, and service training. Disappointing, to say the least.
