I am a very regular iced mocha latte drinker. I drink one every day. I tried Brew Ha Ha today. Ordered an XL with oat milk. I was highly disappointed when the drink came out off-white. It tasted like oat milk with a hint of Expresso. I would guess it had one shot for an XL. If you are a coffee house do better. Y'all should know what ratio to use. Unfortunately the last bite of my egg and cheese bagel had a long hair wrapped between the egg and cheese. I looked around and nobody working with the food had their hair tied up let alone pulled away from their face. We told the person and said we weren't looking for anything but an apology would have been appropriate. We will not be returning in the future. We had been to other locations and it was always great. First time ..use kiosk or no kiosk..had to ask another customer.. counter person made no eye contact spoke to the ground, spoke softly and assumed she was heard and understood. , ambience was quite noisy as several guests were quite loud .and turned away as soon as I walked up to ask a question.. As I waited for my order, she did that for basically everybody .. almost trying to disappear while doing the job.. When I got my sandwich, the sandwich was well prepared, and the young guy making them was much more friendly and customer service oriented .. would go again if the thin gal at the counter was not there.. read more

The place itself is cute and if you needed a place to work or meet up for a coffee it would do the trick in terms of space. The coffee itself wasn't great bitter but in an old beans kind of way not a nice strong roast kind of way and I think the baristas were a little confused on what an iced americano was and it was so watery it barely tasted like coffee and all the ice was melted. (Way too much ice and hot tea water for some reason straight onto the ice before the espresso was even added?) I'm not sure if they maybe used espresso they had already used for someone else or something? Also got a latte with sugar free chocolate in it for my friend and it didn't have any of the syrup added so was just a plain latte. If you just need a spot to hang out and maybe get an iced tea or something it's worth it but if you want a good coffee/drink I would pop in somewhere else! read more

They don't take phone orders (bit odd, but ok). By noon they were out of almost everything from the breakfast menu so I'd recommend ordering early for those options. I ended up getting the Meadowood sandwich (turkey, Brie, apple, greens and fig spread on multi grain bread). The flavors weren't very balanced with everything being sweet. The bread was extra firm/hard to the point it hurt the roof of my mouth a bit to eat it. Probably a good place for coffee and a muffin but I'd recommend Einstein Bagels or something else for a more substantial meal. read more

I like to treat myself to some good coffee and food from time to time and this place does the job. They have an great selection of pastries not to mention sandwiches and salads in addition to their yummy coffee. My fave at the moment is the almond kiss iced coffee with any of the non dairy creamers they have available. I've been to other brouhahas and the coffee is amazing. If I was basing it just on the coffee I would probably give a five star. However, I'm basing this on their policy. It's 80° out and I have my toy poodle with me. Hypoallergenic non-shedding in a carrier. All I wanted was a Cortado to go I literally could've ordered it in the time she told me no dogs allowed. So due to their no dogs allowed can't get anything to go policy I'm writing them a one star. In Florida dogs are allowed everywhere grocery stores coffee shops you name it and they have no more disease there than they have here in Wilmington Delaware. It's not like the dog was walking on the floor. They need to update their animal policy. Absolutely absurd. Brandywine Coffee Roasters' coffee is outstanding. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the condition of the bathrooms at the Branmar location is gross. See pics and captions. This placed used to be our go to. I dont know if its changed hands over the last few years or whats happened. But its dark, its slow, and the coffee just isnt great. I tried it again the other day for the first time in months and it tasted like water with cinnamon. To make it worse I was sitting waiting for my name to be called but never was, my drink was just set there.... for about 5 minutes I sat there assuming my drink was still being made. What a great coffee house. So Delaware Today which ranked them number 1 for 19 of 20 years hit the mark. Nicely furnished with plenty of tables and comfortable seating. Very friendly staff who are customer service pros. Now onto the menu. One of the most varied of any coffee houses I've seen. Sandwiches, Wraps, bagels, eggs, lox. Many coffee and latte options. Nicest Coffee Shop In Delaware! With the name beckoning my interests and begging for some libation exploration I made my way in to check out the Brew Ha Ha was! Lol.... The staff was super super friendly and it really makes this place inviting and a place you would want to come hang out at and do some work on the laptop while having some great coffee! I got a really good coffee that they recommended to me, but I cannot recall what it was called... Something Caramel and Macho and nice and hot! Even the fellow customers were super friendly and we struck a few conversations during our visit and received some helpful suggestions of things in the area to visit as well! Many baristas have a weird unspoken snobbery against us decaf drinkers. Either you get the cocked eyebrow upon ordering or you get that patronizing "customer is always right even though decaf isn't really COFFEE" half-smile. But not at Brew Ha Ha. They either have the baristas trained not to make fun of us decaffers, or they just lack the douchebag gene. Either way, I'm happy. I always get a decaf brewski, which is a cup of plain ol' brewed coffee with a shot (or two) of decaf espresso in it. Deeeelicious! The service is friendly, the place is clean, they have WiFi, you don't get the stink-eye if you bring your laptop to work. I also dig the stuff from local artists on the walls. They have good coffee here. The shop is located in a rundown shopping center. The front door looks like it's been opened and slammed a million times. However, once inside you get pretty good coffee. Nice tables for laying your stuff out to enjoy the coffee and free wifi or talk. The guy running the place was drinking his own coffee and ordering people around. He seemed like a nice guy. Likeable, capable and focused. Someone walked in and he called him out by name: "Hey Wilton! Usual?" (his name wasn't Wilton... but something that started with a W... I forget.) It is a friendly place where the best of the herd gather for their coffee and pastry. The place has amazingly good looking pastries! Not the ho-hum stuff you see at Starbucks but head turning stuff - and the prices are reasonable. I have not seen a lot of Delaware, but it is like a state that polite people call "Depressed". Not too prosperous and people living on the edge. The bulletin board at the coffee shop was chock full of ads. Bulletin boards for me are a meter for desperation - the more notices, the more desparate. The coffee shop has a gang of broken down jugs to pour milk/half 'n half or whatever into your coffee - but they look like something someone threw away after no one would buy them at a garage sale. You couldn't tell what was in them because there were no labels. Someone scratched what was inside but it was very hard to read. The decorative trim on them had worn or broken off. They looked pathetic. A symptom of a depressed business is the lack of attention to details. Just like that slowly boiling frog in the hot water not noticing the rise in temperature as it is boiled alive. Normal is what you feel and see around you at the moment. No one notices the problem because it is everywhere. Good coffee, good pastry, good people working there but awesome only if you have one eye closed. read more

Cleaner, Faster, Friendly and Simply Tastier then that "other coffee shop" that is less then 1/8 of a mile down the road. Always have been made to feel comfortable when asking about drink or describing what I was looking for in a drink. They have a board that explains the difference between a latte and a cappuccino, etc. Just generally useful knowledge. Their breakfast sandwiches kick ass and you can split them easily with someone, especially the ones made on the biscuits/scones. In the summertime they make a 'milkshake' (Yes, there is a lovely Italian name for it which I will not attempt to spell!) with vanilla ice cream and several shots of espresso. This drink is insane, mainly because it combines two of my favorite things together. It may not look like much in it's 16 oz cup, but it is wonderfully decadent and a great drink to have dinner in the summertime. This place is awesome. After my first time there today, I won't be visiting the Starbucks on the opposite side of Marsh and Silverside anytime soon. The baristas seemed to know half of the customers by name and even when the one barista saw my work badge she asked if I knew someone. I want to be one of these people whose names they know! I got an espresso macchiato and raspberry crumble bar while I sat there and read and a iced caramel latte on my way out. Everything was reasonably priced, tasty and I'm now on a mission on how to learn how to make my own crumble bars. I'm definitely interested in trying their sandwiches in the future as they all sounded delicious. They also had a wide variety of pastries. I really love the fact that they are a local Delaware business concentrated in Northern Delaware. While Brew HaHa was not exceptional I would say it had a surprising amount of uniqueness for being a coffee shop in a strip mall. I'm happy that it was around so we could sip something more local than Starbucks on our way to NYC. It's furnished with large sturdy tables which are always preferable. My mom ordered the decaf drip and thought it tasted over roasted (I thought it just had strong caramel notes) and they accommodated her (new drink, at no extra cost) without a problem. Such an extensive list of brews! The party ended up trying traditional and American capp, latte and American coffee. All around (with the exception of the aforementioned decaf coffee) everyone thought the coffee was nice. For the less traditional there's also the Brew HaHa latte which I believe has raspberry syrup. My one gripe were the bathrooms which are all the way to the back of the shop past the curtain, in the bare bones of the building. During our visit one bathroom was out of service, while the other was not well taken care of. The toilet was already full of toilet paper when I went in and it would not flush. read more
