The service is literally the slowest I've ever seen. I've come at different times of day different seasons and no matter what time I'm there i end up waiting for 20+ minutes for a latte. I even tried ordering online ahead of time and still ended up waiting over 20 minutes. I ordered a sandwich and a coffee and the sandwich came out quickly and the time my coffee came out it was cold and gross. I don't know why I keep trying to come back to this location. read more

Came in on a rainy Sunday at 10am and it was packed. There was a duo performing in the back area which brought a great vibe, but it seems most people were there for coffee and breakfast. There are tons of espresso options but no explanation of them anywhere, and when I asked the person at the register what the differences were they pointed at the cups and mumbled something about the amount of milk. When I specifically asked what a cubano was they acted like they couldn't hear me so I skipped asking and got a cappuccino. The barista is talking to someone who seems to be an off-duty employee while making drinks. The barista is sharing how they're the only person on. The two then talk and joke while the drink creation slows. I finally get my drink and sit down. Looking up now I see the off-duty employee is now talking to another person behind the counter. Some socializing at work is necessary and maybe this place never slows down so this is how it has to be done, but it's not great to see the production slow when there's so many people waiting for their orders. The cappuccino was awesome. The cinnamon scone was ok. The music is a lucky win. I want to give this place 5 stars but just can't. Maybe another day. *Edit: I ordered another cappuccino while here. It came out in a totally different size cup and was filled to the brim. It's not as good as the previous drink. Bummed. read more

Stopped by this spot craving a good latte and ended up getting an iced German mocha with oat milk! This drink really satisfied my craving and I enjoyed it. As a former barista, I have a great interest in trying unique flavors, and this drink really inspired my creativity towards mochas. I look forward to retrying this drink in whatever way I can. I also had the sparkling grapefruit mash grapefruit citrus zing. It was a tasteful sparkling beverage that had just enough sweetness to balance the sourness very refreshing. We decided to stop back in here, just for the hell of it. While the new staff seems slightly nicer, and their drinks seem better made than some of the other BrewHaHas, the place is still filthy. Dust, crumbs, and stains everywhere. The bathrooms are a mess, and there are large, obvious cobwebs hanging from the bathroom ceiling. (see the attached photos) What is this? Halloween? Food is good but taking 20 minutes to make my latte is not a good look. Particularly as other orders were completed before mine. I thought at first maybe they were online orders but when people after me had their coffees before mine multiple times then the man behind the latte machine thought it would be okay to chat with a guest, exchange phone numbers and catch up while I was waiting then I realized that he didn't give a damn about service. If you are coming because you have enjoyed Brandywine coffee and expect that they would have an amazing coffee shop, you will be disappointed. BUT, if you are looking for a fine cup of coffee and a very comfortable place to sit and chat, read, or work, this is an excellent place. The coffee was fine--I had an espresso and a drip coffee. My friend had a latte that she didn't think too highly of, and had a decaf drip. I tasted some of her decaf; it was one of the better decaf coffees I've had. Worst cafe I have ever been to. The service was horrible, they gave us the wrong drink and charged us more for it when the drink I actually ordered was cheaper, I never got my refund. They also forgot to make my sandwich and since I was in a hurry after waiting 40 minutes I had to leave. the orders that we did receive were mediocre and they went overboard with the jalapeños on the avocado toast. Not only was the service abysmal but they charged us twice for a meal that half of which we didn't receive. the only good thing about this cafe was the ambiance, and that doesn't make up for the saddening service. This is adorable place. Very spacious with plenty of seating. Soo many options for hot beverages. I tried the turmeric latte. It was delicious but unfortunately the gal who took my order heard whole milk instead of oat milk. Didn't realize it until I took it my seat and didn't have the heart to tell her it was wrong. Little gem in Wilmington!!!! We have tried some of the coffee beans back in Philly and loved them. Unbeknownst to us as we walked in, not only do they sell the bean but the the (Brandywine) roaster's is right next door. We loved the beans we got to try and the cute packaging. So many great choices!!! Anyway! We walked in and loved the atmosphere. My love tried the thin mint and the breakfast sandwich on the biscuit and loved both!!! A typically decorated coffee house but a little noisier. Plenty of seating and open space where music, conversations and the roasting machine noise fills the air. This is by far one of the larger local coffee shops I've been to. I think the toaster operates independently of the actual coffee shop however, they share the same space. The roasting room advertises tasting from 8a-2p M-F. Cold brew is available and really good. It's a more mild and smoother cold brew than most coffee shops, non-mainstream, serve. read more

Great coffee and sandwiches at the Trolley Square location. Brew HaHa! makes a great Cortado, while other coffee shops barely know the Spanish drink's name. I had a turkey bacon sandwich for lunch, which was fresh, delicious, and ample enough to eat half now and later. The environment is spacious, with cavernous seating areas, bar seating in the back, where the operators are developing a new pickup area for mobile orders. Outside you will find a sidewalk garden with lots of seating for summer relaxation. Definitely my favorite coffee shop in Wilmington, one block of Trolley Square! read more

Have been to the other Brew HaHa locations. Greenville is our favorite. Baristas can be a tricky bunch. Sometimes masterful. Sometimes blah and not interested in their craft. Showed up at 340pm(they close at 4pm). The barista seemed annoyed that we were coming in close to close. If it were me, I'd be thinking "great, can make a few more dollars in tips before the end of the shift." Not her. At least 3 more parties came in after us. I asked for a description of the 3 holiday drinks and was directed to a sign behind me. The only problem was that there was only one drink listed, and the aloof barista probably felt it was beneath her to tell me about the other two drinks. My cappuccino was uninspiring and placed into a to go cup without being given a choice. I got the message - "don't stick around as we are closing." My wife had one of the holiday drinks. Equally uninspiring and too sweet. Come on guys. It's Thanksgiving. Spirits should be up and a welcoming environment is all we ask. read more

ATMOSPHERE: I love the atmosphere of this coffee shop! Came here on a weekday around noon. It's very spacious and has plenty of outlets. It's kind of like the lobby of a small ski lodge-meets-coffee shop kind of feel. It was a little cold at the tables towards the front of the shop in November but that's to be expected. FOOD & COFFEE: It does take some time for the food to come up (+/- 10 mins). I ordered the avocado toast with egg on top ($7 + $1.50 for the egg) and a large hot latte, which came out to $12.85. The toast was solid & tood. It was smaller and didn't have as much avocado as I anticipated but hit was a good balance and hit the spot. The jalapeños were a little spicey and the pepper on the egg was a little overwhelming so definitely ask for less of them if that's not your thing. read more
