This is the café my boyfriend and I were searching for! The entire experience was pleasant from start to finish. We were greeted at the door, had friendly counter service, and were checked up on multiple times throughout our meal. Staff were incredibly personable and welcoming. The café was clean and beautifully decorated. The interior was a playful yet tasteful representation of the Java islands the café is named for. As for the food-- the menu is wonderful. The offerings are intriguing, but not overwhelming. The variety is welcome, as we're both so tired of eating the flavorless breakfast options at other café's and chains (would adding some seasoning or spice kill them? ). My boyfriend ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel, and I ordered the BBB, a bagel with barbecue bacon, cream cheese, and eggs. Both were delicious, and not a crumb was left (which is why there's no picture). We'll be back soon and update the review with pictures, if we can manage such a high levels of self control. As for the drinks-- we went for the basics to see how good they were (*spoiler* they were great). We split an iced coffee, and an unsweetened iced tea. They were perfectly strong, and retained the flavor that is typically lost in other café's iced drinks. i frequent this cafe at least 4 times a week. I am such a fan of this place. Upon entering the Cafe you are greeted by the awesome staff ( I love me some Ari, Phoenix and Abby) who welcomes you with such great energy. if you're confused about what to get no worries they will provide great suggestions on what to try if you're a first timer. I popped in here for a coffee and breakfast one morning, and honestly I left with baked goods to take home, too. The staff are excellent and super friendly. The cheesesteak breakfast sandwich was unexpectedly delicious, and the baked goods were pretty good too. On a visit to the area for a hockey tournament, my boys and I wanted something a little different for breakfast. You can only eat so many Dunkin donuts. This was a fantastic treat for us! My oldest had the Classic and gobbled it down. He even loved the pickled flavor (though not the pickled veggies themselves) on this really great breakfast sandwich. My youngest had French toast and savored every bite! I had the most wonderful avocado toast (despite taking the eggs off - I'm just not an egg fan) and cappuccino. The owner chatted with every guest who came in and made it feel super local and personal. I was in once before when they first opened. Decided to give it another try. Jie, one of the owners seems like a really decent guy. I got the French toast with eggs and bacon. Damn, that was tasty. I really liked the real maple syrup they used and the bacon was done just right. I ate in the car while doing errands, and the syrup did not bleed out of the container, so bonus points for that. read more

I completely love this place. I've been here 3 times in the last week. I was looking for a coffee shop where I could use wifi and do some work. This is a great place for just that. HOWEVER, I was not prepared for how delicious this place is. Their menu sets them completely apart; it has classic Cafe staples with an Asian twist. You can get delicious house made pickled veggies and aiolis on their sandwiches. Their French press panini reminded me of a bahn mi. Their ingredients are fresh. On to the staff - super friendly, knowledgeable about their product and the area. I love the pleasant conversation with them on my visits - it's so important! Now, what makes a Cafe survive - their coffee. Their regular brewed coffee is delicious - strong, rich exactly what you'd want. They have a huge milk selection. Their lattes are also delicious, and they make them to your preference. I've seen a lot of other fun drinks on the menu like smoothies and bubble teas that I look forward to trying. Been here a few times now and haven't been disappointed yet. The food is fresh, service was efficient and friendly. I had the classic and as I was eating it I kept saying this is so good. The classic had a hash brown on it..... yummm and the house concoction they put on top is just what the sandwich needed. My husband said it must be good you said it 5 times already. I'm so glad that we decided to stop in. The cafe was clean and filled with customers. Always a good sign. The coffee was fresh and so good. The smoothie that my daughter had was all fruit, no puree, sweeteners or artificial flavoring. It was very tasty. They also allowed substitutions without an upcharge. We also had a pastry that was fresh and delicious. As a plus, all the workers were very nice and helpful. I guarantee that this will be our coffee stop for now on. read more
