    Salad Bar.

Have you ever tried those little gingerbread muffins? It is worth the whole trip! Not to mention the little cone of free ice cream!! Wonderful lunch down near Greenville Ave. I loved the club sandwich and mom raved about the Salad bar. The restaurant was very clean and the workers were efficient and pleasant. The restrooms were nice and clean.

I stopped by here after a long dr visit and hearing the ladies in the lab getting ready to place an order. My blt was so yummy! I was in need of some good comfort food after my time at the dr and man that hit the spot. The brownie was amazing too. I loved that the sandwiches came with a little half pickle. Super cute and tasty. My son really enjoyed his sandwich too. Will definitely be back!

Very disappointed, I ordered tha CB RANCH POTATO, OVER 11$ and only had like 5 little pieces of grilled chicken, sour cream, ranch cheese, green onion barely existed. Jason Deli used to be tha place to go for good sammies and giant potatoes, now overpriced and lacking. I won't be back to this location.

Please visit Noah at Jason's Deli. He is the assistant GM. They literally made me wait an extra 5 seconds as someone was looking the other way. No big deal. But he went absolutely above and beyond to make sure that he valued my business. Gave me this dessert for the kids for free - just to say "thanks." This guy is what so many other restaurants need. Keep up the great work Noah and team. We will be back.

Still at 5 stars. I just had to come in again and mention what I consider to be a miraculous occurrence at Jason's, on July 26, 2020. Not long after my previous review, a good lady friend and I began exchanging nightly pictures of the sunset from our diverse locations as a means of having SOME kind of camaraderie during The Pestilence. For years we have frequently dined here together with friends after Sunday 10:00 Mass at St. Patrick. Those fond memories keep me coming back. For various reasons, my good friend has remained apart from us during this trying time. One such evening, I attended Jason's in solitude as is my current norm. It was around 7:45 p.m., which at that time of the year saw the brilliant light of the soon-to-be-setting Sun pouring through the front doors and directly onto the table where I usually sit. As my usual order was placed on the table, I began to stir the hot potato soup, at which point huge amounts of steam began to rise from the bowl. As the sunlight cut across said steam, I noticed slight rainbow colorizations appearing and disappearing within it. As is my habit, I attempted to capture this phenomenon photographically. A few examples are attached here. When it was time to leave, I stepped out the front door and, needing to complete my nightly photographic "homework assignment", I walked straight ahead into the parking lot, almost to the far side, looking in front of me, to the left and to the right for anything remotely interesting about the setting Sun; typically orange clouds or an interesting light pattern or an unusual reflection of some sort. Having drawn a complete blank, I turned around to go back to my car, somewhat dejected, and lo and behold, before me, centered directly over Jason's, was a MASSIVE rainbow, visible from end to end! I classify things like this as Holy Spirit moments, because after the rainbows in the steam and the relative letdown of the sunset, I was completely taken by surprise at this turn of events. I certainly accomplished my homework assignment this evening! As an interesting aside, my lady friend also caught a picture of this same rainbow from her location, from a different angle! I leave the amazing photo of this rainbow for your perusal and enjoyment.

I was always greeted immediately upon walking in and the staff was very nice and helped me with placing takeout orders. Service was always fast, and the food was so good. Over the days, I ordered a Ham&Cheese, Reuben, Club, and Patty Melt. The Reuben was my absolute favorite. I liked that the corned beef and pastrami was not too salty. The rye? bread that was used was sooo soft and fluffy which is what made this place memorable to me. Side pickle was also crunchy and tasty and I liked the potato salad! Thank you for making my court days a little bit better. I'm glad there are other locations so I don't need to return downtown to get a great sandwich again!

Heading towards Dallas, I asked Mrs. K. if she wanted proper smoked salmon for breakfast and she was all in. As we're in the area for the Sixth Floor museum, this was an easy stop once we found and paid for parking. A small storefront with a large dining room that is decorated with some New York themed photos, we seated ourselves and a waitress brought over menus followed by coffee. We placed our orders and about ten minutes later, breakfast arrived. Mrs. K.'s platter included a good portion of thin sliced salmon along with ALL of the fixings including capers, cucumber, tomato, red onion and cream cheese. The toasted everything bagel was very good but not quite "New York style" perfection. Hey, it's Texas. You get to slide. My nova, eggs and onion plate was excellent with a huge portion of home fries. Cooked properly and with plenty of salmon mixed in, I enjoyed it very much. The biscuits were excellent, the gravy was a little thin on sausage but still tasty. Five stars because it's great service and great food. This is as close to New York style as you'll get when you're 1400 miles from Brooklyn. [Review 394 of 2026 - 709 in Texas - 25578 overall]

I had the Italian beef, which was delicious--but definitely spicy. I even asked for light peppers and it still brought some heat. So fair warning: if you're sensitive to spice, you might want to pivot to something else. My wife has been missing New Orleans, so she went with the muffaletta. Let's just say it was a much cheaper solution than flying her to the Big Easy. No gumbo on the menu, but the sandwich hit the spot. After we ate, we did a little shopping and grabbed some fresh Italian ingredients imported straight from Italy--which is always a win in my book. Great food, great vibe, and a true Dallas institution. We'll definitely be back.
