Excellent quality subs. One of our first choice when we are hungry for subs. Go for rhe NY Steamer if you like hot subs.

Firehouse Subs offers quality ingredients, friendly service, and flavorful subs. They remain a top choice for our family whenever we crave sandwiches for lunch or dinner!

I had never been to a Firehouse Sub place before so I did not know what to expect. This chain is in the Jersey Mike-Subway-Jimmy John milieu. The menu seemed somewhat limited, more so than Jersey Mike's, and I was disappointed that they did not have cheesesteaks or meatball subs. I settled on the Jerk chicken sandwich. It's a regular chicken sandwich but with jerk sauce. The sauce had a nice kick and was really flavorful. The bread was light and actually really tasty. It comes with lettuce, tomato, onions, and a pickle on the side if you want. I would get it again. The layout of the restaurant is odd and not very appealing. It is small and narrow. There are very few seats. If you order to go it is not clear where to stand: by the restrooms? by someone's table? by the door? I ended up by the counter and a worker gave me a look but I said I was takeout and did not know where to stand. Overall, the. experience was pretty good and I would go here again.

This place helps me understand the expression "stupid good." Seriously! It is a fairly new location next door to the Dunkin Donut Store. Ordered the Beef Brisket and Cheese online with pickle slice and bag of chips. I was there right on time as they placed my hot sandwich in the pick up basket and off I went (with a spur of the moment detour to get a couple of donuts). The 5 minute drive home was rewarded with a fantastic tasty, gorgeous color crispy but soft with some chew hoagie roll filled with delightfully melt in your mouth brisket coated in a cheddary cheese! Seriously, melt in your mouth hot brisket. Absolutely stupid that anything could taste THAT good! Price was good, staff were friendly and easy to get in and out with plenty of parking.

Routinely spend $100 a week here coming to get lunch for the guys, always order the same thing +\- a sandwich here and there. Today my total was 57.72. All FOUR sandwiches were wrong. I called the "owner" who didn't even know how to look up and old order and had to ask someone; and he wanted to argue so here I am. Won't be returning. Here's the cheese I didn't ask for on mine. The rest were missing Mayo AND Cheese. No side of mustard anywhere to be seen, either, even though that was asked for and I heard the cashier relay. Told me to bring them back, so they could remake them but that means these guys don't eat lunch today, not everyone has a sandwich shop job they can slack off at.

I was always greeted immediately upon walking in and the staff was very nice and helped me with placing takeout orders. Service was always fast, and the food was so good. Over the days, I ordered a Ham&Cheese, Reuben, Club, and Patty Melt. The Reuben was my absolute favorite. I liked that the corned beef and pastrami was not too salty. The rye? bread that was used was sooo soft and fluffy which is what made this place memorable to me. Side pickle was also crunchy and tasty and I liked the potato salad! Thank you for making my court days a little bit better. I'm glad there are other locations so I don't need to return downtown to get a great sandwich again!

Heading towards Dallas, I asked Mrs. K. if she wanted proper smoked salmon for breakfast and she was all in. As we're in the area for the Sixth Floor museum, this was an easy stop once we found and paid for parking. A small storefront with a large dining room that is decorated with some New York themed photos, we seated ourselves and a waitress brought over menus followed by coffee. We placed our orders and about ten minutes later, breakfast arrived. Mrs. K.'s platter included a good portion of thin sliced salmon along with ALL of the fixings including capers, cucumber, tomato, red onion and cream cheese. The toasted everything bagel was very good but not quite "New York style" perfection. Hey, it's Texas. You get to slide. My nova, eggs and onion plate was excellent with a huge portion of home fries. Cooked properly and with plenty of salmon mixed in, I enjoyed it very much. The biscuits were excellent, the gravy was a little thin on sausage but still tasty. Five stars because it's great service and great food. This is as close to New York style as you'll get when you're 1400 miles from Brooklyn. [Review 394 of 2026 - 709 in Texas - 25578 overall]

I had the Italian beef, which was delicious--but definitely spicy. I even asked for light peppers and it still brought some heat. So fair warning: if you're sensitive to spice, you might want to pivot to something else. My wife has been missing New Orleans, so she went with the muffaletta. Let's just say it was a much cheaper solution than flying her to the Big Easy. No gumbo on the menu, but the sandwich hit the spot. After we ate, we did a little shopping and grabbed some fresh Italian ingredients imported straight from Italy--which is always a win in my book. Great food, great vibe, and a true Dallas institution. We'll definitely be back.

I'll be coming back when I run out of my dozen bagels I bought. Update 1: Customers should know this: Sclafani's does not give their employees the tips left on credit card transactions. That's extremely disappointing. The staff here is the backbone of this place -- they work through nonstop lines and keep things running smoothly, and they deserve every tip customers leave for them. If you come here, tip in cash so the hardworking team actually receives what they've earned. Management needs to fix this. Update 2: The bagels at Sclafani's are fantastic, but their tipping system is misleading. Even though employees elect to include tips in a flat pay rate, offering a credit card tip option gives customers the impression that the money goes directly to staff which it does not. If they cannot pass tips directly to employees, they should either turn off the tipping option or clearly explain how tips are handled. Right now it feels deceptive to customers.
