I figured, why not go with the blintzes, because you don't really see as an option much these days. I also got a side of cherry compote and orange juice. The orange juice was nice and pulpy. As for the cheese blintzes and the cherry compote- I think I could've done without it- it made it too sweet. But, it was served in the side, so iI just didn't eat much of it. The blintzes themselves were very good and definitely had a very gratifying texture. Slightly sweet on their own, but not too much. My husband had the franks and beans. I didn't try them, but I did snag a French fry and it was very good- golden and perfectly crispy with a piping hot soft center. Prices were a bit steep, but this is a neighborhood restaurant and iI think it's always good to support locally when you can. Goodness knows, prices for goods is high and labor is not cheap. Overall, I would definitely consider coming here again, but this time I would like to try one of their breakfast plates to get a better baseline.

I saw an employee smoking and he kept using the turkey tray as an ashtray and when I ate my Turkey sub sandwich I coughed up ash and in a addition he charged me $12.15 when I only ordered the small smoked Turkey breast medium sub (which is 3-4 in.) probably for more cigarettes. I'm pretty sure he even had a Cuban Cigar which I'm pretty sure is pretty illegally in the United States of America located in North America which was founded on July 4th 1776 after years of fighting for independence from Great Britain starting out as the 13 Colonies which is the reason why our great flag has 13 red stripes for the original 13 colonies which fought for independence from Great Britain and is now our 50 States. If I could give this store 0 stars I would. I rarely write reviews but I come to this store almost daily for teas and rolls and have genuine concerns about the staff and how they are treated. I'm not being dramatic when I say these employees are severely mistreated and heavily miserable because of their, what seems to be, bipolar, violent, and incredibly loud manager. Almost every single time I come in, she is shouting and barking at these poor kids who clearly are working their asses off. I can hear her clearly from the lobby, barely hearing my own conversation, obviously disturbing other guests too. Other customers even started talking about her and had left because she was clearly ruining the mood. I completely understand how difficult it is to work fast food, I manage multiple KFCs and know what its like. Being a bad and anal manager is different. Manager in question was a short, older lady who i think is the GM. I desperately hope this gets addressed soon. read more

Firehouse Subs always delivers when I'm craving a nice sandwich. The meats are flavorful, the bread is fresh, and the portion sizes are generous. I had the Hook & Ladder this time, and it was packed with flavor -- definitely recommend it if you like something warm and melty. The staff was friendly and the service was quick, even during the lunch rush. I also appreciate their support for first responders -- it's nice to know your meal helps a good cause. I ended up having to purchase a tea and a bottled water after already paying for a fountain drink. No comp, no refund -- so I basically spent about $7 on one drink. That part was not acceptable. The salad bar wasn't very clean, and the ice cream machine was also down. While the service wasn't rude, it felt like I was inconveniencing the employee just by ordering, which added to the frustration. Now for the good -- because there was good. I stopped in after spending time at a recovery business two doors down, and the food absolutely delivered. The chicken pot pie soup was made very well and tasted amazing. The Reuben sandwich with chips was also done right. Quality-wise, the kitchen clearly still knows what it's doing. This place earned my return because my first visit had excellent service and great food. I'm not giving up on it yet -- everyone has an off night. Stay tuned for round three.
