There is a guy named Chris that is almost always working the register here. He is always very friendly and helpful. Chris always makes my visits here very pleasant. I tend to favor this location because he is always so friendly. Today was no different, but there was another person working the register. This person's name was Eric. Wow, Eric is such a friendly person. This kid put a smile on my face while helping me out. I stayed and ate inside and observed Eric helping other customers. This place has some great employees. It just makes the whole experience great. Having good people helping customers out really makes the experience so much better. read more

I've been here a few times in the past. Today's visit I'm unlikely to return. Clerk that took my order store to app not working disparaged me being a throat cancer survivor. When corrected he doesn't apologize. He miss-spelled my name. Who spells Pamela as Pamly. When they called wrong name I spoke out calling him a bigoted idiot. He then started across the work area making a threat to me. Co-workers grabbed him and pulled him back. read more

I had never been to a Firehouse Sub place before so I did not know what to expect. This chain is in the Jersey Mike-Subway-Jimmy John milieu. The menu seemed somewhat limited, more so than Jersey Mike's, and I was disappointed that they did not have cheesesteaks or meatball subs. I settled on the Jerk chicken sandwich. It's a regular chicken sandwich but with jerk sauce. The sauce had a nice kick and was really flavorful. The bread was light and actually really tasty. It comes with lettuce, tomato, onions, and a pickle on the side if you want. I would get it again. The layout of the restaurant is odd and not very appealing. It is small and narrow. There are very few seats. If you order to go it is not clear where to stand: by the restrooms? by someone's table? by the door? I ended up by the counter and a worker gave me a look but I said I was takeout and did not know where to stand. Overall, the. experience was pretty good and I would go here again. read more

This place helps me understand the expression "stupid good." Seriously! It is a fairly new location next door to the Dunkin Donut Store. Ordered the Beef Brisket and Cheese online with pickle slice and bag of chips. I was there right on time as they placed my hot sandwich in the pick up basket and off I went (with a spur of the moment detour to get a couple of donuts). The 5 minute drive home was rewarded with a fantastic tasty, gorgeous color crispy but soft with some chew hoagie roll filled with delightfully melt in your mouth brisket coated in a cheddary cheese! Routinely spend $100 a week here coming to get lunch for the guys, always order the same thing +\- a sandwich here and there. Today my total was 57.72. All FOUR sandwiches were wrong. I called the "owner" who didn't even know how to look up and old order and had to ask someone; and he wanted to argue so here I am. Won't be returning. Here's the cheese I didn't ask for on mine. The rest were missing Mayo AND Cheese. No side of mustard anywhere to be seen, either, even though that was asked for and I heard the cashier relay. Told me to bring them back, so they could remake them but that means these guys don't eat lunch today, not everyone has a sandwich shop job they can slack off at. read more

First visit to this new, closer to home, location. I'm not a Firehouse expert but have been a few times to other locations. It was lunchtime and they had their full crew and what looked to be the owner/manager working. Everyone was nice. The interior is small and has limited seating so we got our order to go. It was busy, but not covid packed scary busy. Everything went smoothly from ordering to receiving our food. Took maybe 10 min, in and out the door. Ordered the Hook and Ladder, Hero and a side of mac-n-cheese. It all was made as ordered and tasted as good as I've had at other Firehouse subs. I had the pleasure of meeting Sadie, who is the a General Manager at the firehouse subs just off of northwest hwy right next door to the Dunkin' Donuts. The reason I am leaving this review is to thank her publicly for stepping outside in the wet/cold weather to assist me in getting inside of my vehicle with my coffee. She noticed that while I was in crutches, I was struggling to hold and make it to my car. There are such great people in this world and she is absolutely one of them! This is one of my favorite sandwich places to grab sandwiches. I'm actually a frequent here at the northwest hwy location next to the dunkin donuts. They recently made my sandwich wrong but the manager Sadie (such a sweet lady) she made it right by having me another made promptly. I love it here and will continue to come get sandwiches. As a former Firehouse Subs employee (LONG time ago before I had this receding hairline), I pretend like my opinion matters on all things Firehouse. Overall, they have a good running operation at this location. Good job to management and employees. Chipotle could learn a thing or two from this location about a properly running online ordering/in store pick up system. On time, you see the name, you grab, and you go. Easy. The food here has always been good. My only issue with current Firehouse is that they should simply the menu and stop adding new items and choices. It's unnecessary and negative for customers and employees. But that's a Corporate issue and not something this specific location can do anything about. The sweet and spicy meatball sub could have used less sweet sauce and more Captain Sorensen's hot sauce. Also, the red pepper flakes were missing on top (if that's even still a thing for this sub after all these years). But the sub was tasty as usual so 5 stars either way. Keep it up. read more
