I had been craving a Reuben sandwich for a while and looked up where the best was in Abq.... I saw Jason's deli on the list... and the pics looked exactly what I was looking for. I had been there in the past.... But hadn't been back in years as they stopped selling the egg salad sandwiches I used to go for.... Well man... have I been missing out! We got there and it was pretty busy, but still a lot of open tables. It looked like a chess team had went to practice or have a match! It was fun to listen to and watch and my son was happy to see other kids his age there too! You have to order at the counter and then they deliver your food to you. We were all debating what we were gonna get, but the woman who took our order was friendly and patient. She made suggestions on what she liked and ordered which was much appreciated! We placed our order and our food was out in less than 10 min. Hot, exactly as pictured from their menu (which 90% of the time is never the case...) and delicious! My husband got the New Yorker which was HUGE to say the least... I got the Reuben which also was HUGE and delicious! My son got pasta which he inhaled and really enjoyed. He also loved the fact that there was free ice cream for dessert! He wants to go back already! We will be returning soon! Clean and bright interior (including restrooms); warm family friendly vibe, and delicious food! It's a MUST visit if you have not been there!

Best. Place. Ever. the service was awesome, they were so nice and the building felt so welcoming and it was so fun to stop here!

First time visiting and I was shocked at the size of the location and offerings! Walked in and was wow'd by this clean the restaurant was and his friendly the staff was! I'd never looked at the menu and was a bit overwhelmed by all of the offerings thus opted for the salad bar. Couldn't believe the toppings included for under $11! Every dressing you could imagine, fresh salads and veggies and every option in between. Delighted by how well kept the salad bar was and if I wanted seconds, I could go back for another plate. Free soft serve ice cream is also great perk! My husband got a French dip and it too was super! Prompt service, very clean inside, friendly employees... We will definitely be adding Jason's deli into our lunch rotation!

Had a small get together the other night with a couple of friends and decided that we would get sandwiches for dinner. We thought it would be quick and relatively inexpensive to do so and we all like Jason's Deli so that's what we went with. Two of us had Reuben the Great with chips and another of us had half a sandwich with a fruit cup. The total was just shy of $65! We didn't get anything fancy or overly expensive. Like I said, three sandwiches that come with sides. I do understand that the cost of everything has gone up but I have to say that I will not be ordering from Jason's again given the cost of this last order. The food was excellent and the delivery was fine and yes, I could go to the restaurant myself to avoid any delivery charges, but unfortunately that is not an option for me. I still highly recommend Jason's, strictly based on the food, which of course is of the upmost importance. They have decent portions but again, three sandwiches with bagged chips or a quarter cup of fruit (if that) should not cost $65. Unfortunately, my old favorite is now out of my price range. I hope the rest of you will continue to enjoy. They really do have the best Reuben in town!

View from my table - The image shows the interior of a restaurant with multiple customers seated at tables, some engaged in eating and conversation. The ceiling is black with recessed lighting and hanging pendant lights. Large windows on the right side allow natural light to illuminate the space. In the background, a kitchen area is visible with staff working, and digital menu screens are mounted on the wall above the counter. The overall setting appears lively and well-lit.

DEFINITELY RECOMMEND Military and First Responders: Please don't forget to ask for your discount (show that ID please)* Casually relaxed deli business to have a quick snack, lunch or light dinner. There are several healthy options with nice portion sizes as well as a well established salad bar. There's also kid friendly options available. Easy menu and not overly priced. Very clean and seating is plentiful, however, tends to be full during lunch hours. Online and pickup service available. Parking lot can be full so look for more spaces near Cocina Azul, Marriott Fairfield Inn or Discount Tire (all on same property). Happy Healthy Eating!

Great food, good prices. Fast service for lunch...free ice cream !!!! Can be a little loud when busy.

This was my first time trying Jason's Deli. I got takeout for lunch and ordered the Ultimate BLT bowl with no chopped avocado, as well as a chocolate chip cookie. The bowl cost $9.79 and the cookie was $1.69. The BLT bowl comes with chicken breast, quinoa, romaine lettuce, bacon, pickled red onions, a hard boiled egg, chopped avocado, and ranch on the side. My favorite ingredient was the pickled red onions. The ingredients were all fresh and crispy. I would have liked an additional flavor profile in the bowl before the ranch on the side, such as an oil or vinaigrette. The deli was very busy. They have an extensive salad bar that I'm looking forward to trying next time; it has a lot of options and looked appetizing. For those eating in, they offer free ice cream because "everyone deserves dessert". The menu is quite large and offers wraps, sandwiches, bowls, soups, etc.

The image shows a clear plastic takeout container with leftover salad ingredients such as lettuce, a cherry tomato, and some dressing. The container is placed on a surface with a white napkin underneath. A black plastic fork rests on the container, and some salad remnants are scattered around. The setting appears to be a casual dining or takeout environment.

Sadly, we found kind of a mixed bag. First, the standout items. The margaritas were fantastic; some of the best we've had in the USA and extremely generous. The pinto bean sides were some of the best we've had since returning to the States in 2013. Perhaps not quite as great as those of the shuttered El Cotorro but still stellar. Next, the tacos. We tried only two of the several tacos on offer - The El Pastor and the Pescado. Both were served in what was called "corn tortillas" but these differed from virtually any corn tortillas we've ever had in Mexico or elsewhere. They were at least twice as thick as your typical corn tortilla found in just about all Mexican taco places in Mexico and elsewhere. The consistency and taste were quite different from your normal corn tortilla also. In fact, they really didn't seem to have much taste at all, of corn or anything else. Now to the fillings. At the aforementioned El Cotorro, the meat for the Al Pastor tacos was cooked on a vertical rotating spit which was the only way we ever saw it cooked in Mexico. The meat La Reforma used in their al pastor tacos was more chunky and way drier than any we ever had in Mexico or at El Cotorro. It didn't taste similar to any al pastor tacos were ever had in Mexico. It also kind of seemed like it wasn't cooked recently whereas in Mexico you can watch the cook with a large knife carve off the meat from the vertical spit right in front of you. Usually the time between the carving and it sitting in front of you is under 10 seconds. The fish taco at La Reforma was disappointing. The fish resembled a fish stick but one without much flavor. We wouldn't order it again. We gave the mini-churros a try for dessert. Because they were so small, they were way crispier than your typical regular-sized churro. We might return but we'd skip the al pastor and the fish tacos and try some of the other tacos. But we strongly suggest that they dump their current "corn tortillas" because they're not that good. Way too thick and virtually tasteless. Lo siento. Kudos for the margaritas and the beans. The rest of what we tried didn't live up to the recent glowing review in the ABQ Journal.

I waited approximately five minutes before the server returned, at which point I had to request them. This was the moment when I began to feel that the level of service was lacking. What stood out most was the noticeable difference in service provided to another table. A group of three seated nearby by the same server received a much more attentive and welcoming experience. They were promptly offered water, given the soup of the day, and encouraged to place their order right away. While I understand that regular customers may sometimes receive more familiarity, the disparity in treatment made the experience feel inconsistent and unwelcoming. We went with the Korean Chicken bites, the Margarita Flatbread, & the green chilli cheeseburger. The Chicken bites were terrible. Taste wasn't great at all, they were very very fried, but not in a good way. I love some good crunchy fried chicken but these just were not it! The flavor, the texture, none of it was right. The Margarita Flatbread was med. Taste was pretty good, but it was soggy and didn't hold up well at all. That said it was the best of the 3 things we did get. Unfortunately, that's not saying much..... The burger was okay also. Not bad by any means, but nothing special at all either....considering there's a burger place next door I thought the burger would be able to compete with the neighbor, but trust me if you want a burger, go next door! Only my 6 year old cousin eats like that.....I did add some mayo and ketchup, which helped, but still not a great burger.... The bun didn't add much for us either, even though it was baked in house with green chilli....A simple brioche would be better imo... The fries with the burger were actually the best single item of the experience. Their fries are really good! So good that I was going to eat every single one of them but instead my waiter just came and took my plate before I had finished the last 10 or so. No are you finished yet, or anything, just grabbed it, turned and left. I was so shocked I didn't even have time to say I'm not done with that. He left the crummy chicken bites we weren't eating though..... LOL Seriously don't touch my plate unless it's empty, or you ask first! Since it was a small amount I let it slide and didn't reduce his tip because the rest of the service was actually pretty good overall..... I definitely 100% will not be back here though, there's much better food in the area.
