    2 Stuffed Cabbage rolls

My Russian born daughter and I went for lunch after we voted looking for a special treat. I'd heard so much about this place and had been wanting to give it a try. We got there at 11:30 before the crowd came and glad we did. There's just a few tables that makes the place half cafe and half deli/grocery from Europe. Our Ukrainian server was very nice and spoke good English. The menu was 4 pages of sandwiches, brats, Pirogies, entrees, and soups. We got the 6 meat Pirogies w sour cream and Cabbage Rolls. Both were pretty good. We added the extra bacon and onions fried w the Pirogies bc that makes everything taste better. We shared everything and it was our first time having Pirogies and they were good. The Cabbage Rolls were fine but a little bland. I remember the ones my grandmother made were awesome and had hoped for an equal to hers. The place was neat and clean. It seemed short staffed bc I saw only 3 ppl working and the place was filling up. Seemed to have a lot of regular customers. I'll go back again and try more foods like their vegetable Borscht since I love that kind of food and I enjoy small independent family businesses.

Friday. August 1, 2025. Lunch. This is the kind of place I love. A true hole in the wall. They said they been here since 2014. There are a few tables and lots of freezers in the back to take home some frozen Polish food. I came with a co-worker for a late lunch and they were busy. We waited about 10 minutes for a table. They hand make the pierogies here so that takes a bit of time. My friend ordered the bacon, potato and cheddar pierogies, six for $12.99. I ordered the double barrel. Two Guinness beer brats served with sauerkraut, Polish brown mustard on a kaiser roll for $11.99. Our waiter sound like he just stepped of the bus from Chicago. The waiter said they didn't serve the pierogies off of the main menu anymore because those were pre-made and frozen. Our food took about 20 minutes but came out steaming hot. My double barrel had thick brats and they oozed juices. Co-worker loved the pierogies and the dip. A nice hole in the wall with authentic Polish food. Don't visit here if you are in a hurry.

Finally stopped in to have early dinner. Small deli with lots of Eastern European products. Family run. Bobby Vinton on the audio system. https://youtu.be/rNQlCYNU58Q?si=MsMMsh9sM_iyTfjP Friendly service. Had the German Polish Plate and the Gołąbki. Both were very good, the Gołąbki may have been the best I ever had (apologies to my relatives). Very reasonable prices.

Fantastic Polish food and deli. Great service despite how busy it got - friendly and attentive. They could clean the glass on the inside of the windows by the booths because they were pretty smeary, but other than that it was clean as a whistle. The food was, as I said, fantastic - and priced well. I've been wanting to come here for years, but never able to find anyone to go with me until today. I'll be back soon, for sure!

The borscht is satisfying with rich flavor and full of flavor . The pelmeni are light, soft, small and served with vinegar and sour cream. Definitely these two items are a must have. The pierogi (carne asada) are bigger more filling and served with butter. I liked it . In the future I'd have the pelmeni over the pierogi. The stuffed cabbage are big the meat is ground beef and pork. The tomato sauce is light with carrots . It's slightly sweet. Overall. My favorite is the borscht and pelmeni. ***. Definitely worth multiple visits.

Authentic pierogi in Albuquerque! I dream about pierogi and the very first thing I do when going to any city is look up Polish places to eat. True story. Aside from delicious pierogi I also love other Polish favorites such as gołąbki (stuffed cabbage), pyzy (dumplings), placki ziemniaczane (potato pancakes), kotlet schabowy (breaded pork cutlets), mizeria (cucumber salad), naleśniki (blintzes), barszcz (beet soup), and the list goes on and on and everything is made here from scratch by a Polish family. The deli offers European meats and sausages and there's a lot of great imported Polish goods from pickles to seasonings to tea. Order at the counter and find a seat. You're eating inside of a deli/store so there's nothing fancy going on which Polish food has never been considered fancy. It's homey food that makes your heart and stomach smile. Thank you to the family who owns and runs this place and for sharing it with all of us. Dziękuję bardzo!

The house made pirogies here are absolutely incredible. My husband and I tried their 6 vegan ones: mushroom, sauerkraut, sweet kraut (green cabbage), and combinations of those. One bite of one and I was almost brought to tears thinking of my grandmother's special handmade dumplings. The dough was perfectly soft and the fillings were so flavorful. . We wanted to try the vegetarian cabbage rolls with buckwheat but they were not serving them that day. I also found some other items I was excited to try in their little market. Those housemade pirogies are a must try!

My dining partner comes for the gyro and made it disappear in seconds. Legit pierogi and there are lots of flavors to choose from. I was disappointed the first two things I ordered were out (good latkes are hard to find). And someone who has been asked for borscht which was not on the menu and got it. The service was nice, just slow. The prices are very fair. The deli has that bodega feel and has all kinds of wonderful things on the shelves and in the fridge. Would definitely go again.

This is one of those hidden gems in a city I always hope to find. A fantastic little European grocer with meats, cheeses, mustards, jams ect. And specialty ingredients. They also have a fantastic take out/eat in menu we had the pierogi roulette, cabbage rolls, schnitzel, and borscht and they were all amazing. I definitely suggest having the pierogis cooked with bacon and onions. Everything was fantastic and great service !

What a gem--just off San Mateo and I40. We had the pierogis (hungry man version in various flavors) and stuffed cabbage (can't spell the polish name for that) and we loved all of it. We ordered the cheese blintzes for dessert--we loved them as well. The restaurant portion of the deli seats about twenty people, and there are shelves of polish products (none of which I can interpret). Service is very helpful and friendly...parking is available (deli is in a strip shopping center). This will be one place we plan on coming to OFTEN. Thanks, Red Rock for an awesome meal.

First time dining in. Small area for dining with sections of products to can purchase to take home. It was packed with customers but we were lucky we found us a table. One waitress for the whole place and she did a fantastic job! Their food was delicious! Definitely going back!

The Red Rock Deli was unexpected in a couple of ways. First, we didn't expect to go there since we were looking for a different restaurant that apparently has morphed into becoming a Denny's. So we looked for another closeby option for lunch. When I saw a 5-star rating for Red Rock, I thought it was well worth a try. It is on San Mateo PLACE, not BLVD, so we did have to search for it a bit. It was located in an area that didn't seem like it would have many walk-ins. Pretty hidden. I thought it was kind of cute that the blackboard sign in front said, "VERY Short Staffed. Wait times will be longer than usual. Sorry." We weren't in a hurry and we appreciated the heads-up! When we got inside and looked at the menu, we saw that it was a deli, but we weren't expecting it to be a Polish Deli. I had wanted a tuna sandwich, but I was happy to exchange that for a Polish sausage sandwich. The inside looked clean and there is even a market section with refrigerated and frozen food, as well as shelves of dry goods of Eastern European origins. I ordered a Polish sausage sandwich with kraut. On it, it also had brown mustard, onions, pickles, and jalapenos (which I asked for on the side). Overall, it was tasty. I didn't notice the pickles, which I like. They must have forgotten to put them on? Also, I wanted to ask for more mustard, but as they were short-staffed, I didn't bother. Another aside, it was supposed to be served on "crispy" French bread, but it was not crispy. Still, I liked it. Potato chips were served on the side. My lunch companion had something similar called the "Polish Polish Style." The only difference I saw was that there was no kraut. He enjoyed his sandwich, too! I expect we'll go back to try different things on the menu such as the pierogis or potato pancakes. I noticed one man had come only for the borscht so I'm guessing it is good if you are a fan of the dish. I didn't see it on the menu, so maybe it is only served on certain days?

Yes I noticed a freezer case with an assortment of items including kielbasa. I have not bought any so I don't know what they cost.

I chose the full size italian beef and the other sandwich we got was mostly veggies and mozzarella(I can't remember the name). While we waited for the sandwiches we perused the baked goods and the italian market with tons of sauces, frozen foods, cheese and delicious baked goods. The sandwiches were huge and delicious. Even as a big a guy as I am I could have done with the half size, but I did end up eating the second half for dinner. The sandwiches are on soft, delicious hoagie rolls. The italian beef was stuff with beef and gardinera. The juices of the meat and the gardinera leaks into the botoom of your tray and almost makes a french dip like sauce. This place is fantastic!!!

This was the case for my Cobb salad at Sammy's. An earlier picture of the salad by another Yelper showed a robust salad with plenty of avocado/guac and two full hard boiled eggs along with the other toppings. While mine was fine... it had substantially less avocado, to the point where I was actively rationing it, and just one egg sliced up to appear as more. On top of that bummer, it just wasn't as tasty as I would hope for it to be. One reason for that is made well ahead chicken. The chicken for this salad is not cooked to order, and sometimes that is OK for a cold salad, but mine was old enough that it was dry tasting and hard to chew. I will say that all the components for the salad other than the chicken, bright and fresh, and had a tasty dressing. I am giving it a 4, because really, if I had not seen the more bountiful other picture, it's really just the chicken that would have disappointed me.
