Do not order in the app, they will screw up your order every single time! Three times I tried, they always forget something - my bottled water, salad dressing, etc. The first couple times they were remorseful, and offered to have me come in a different time to get a salad or whatever. My name was out in a book, where it still is, cause I never took advantage of it. This time I was greeted by Abby on the phone and she was completely unprofessional. Tried that new Thanksgiving Sub! I give it a 7 out of 10. My gripe it was extra for gravy and garlic bread. The stuffing is good along with the Turkey. Couldn't taste much of the cranberry. Overall a good sandwich. It is pricey with chips and a drink. If you had the Bobbi at Capriotties in Las Vegas this does not come close so don't expect much. read more

My sister and I split a Turkey, Bacon, Cheese sub with creamy ranch on it. It was our first time having a ny food from this place. I hate to say it, but it just was not a good sandwich the bacon was almost like artificial bacon. It was very stiff and just kind of pressed on top of the contents. It was lacking flavor and at least anything that was a distinct flavor.. a instead of actually tasted like a good sandwich. First I had gotten a pepperoni pizza sub that ended up being soggy and tasteless and i called and spoke to a manager about getting it remade, they told me it would be ready when i got there and once i did, they said they couldn't remake it since I don't have the receipt or the sub anymore! I don't know maybe don't tell someone to come when they specify that they live 20 minutes away and then refuse service because you can't find their order? Just a recommendation. We were both T-mobile customers, we both claimed the free medium sandwich offer, and I wasn't particularly a fan of Firehouse -- and my wife had never tried 'em -- so we were a good demographic to attract. I will note that on my second visit to a Firehouse, I had the same impression as the first: these guys hire good people and they do an excellent job training them. Everyone working here was personable, which is especially tough to communicate behind a thick fabric mask. Oh yeah, and the place was clean, orderly, good for Covid, although I thought they could have done a better job marking the floor, to help the crowd space apart while we waited. In the end my sandwich, an Italian, was pretty good, but it was oddly sweet -- the dressing? -- and the bread was just too darn flat. That's a note I'd give to any franchise sub shop right now: up your bread game and you'll win. I would absolutely eat up more of the five cheese macaroni, it was sharp, smooth and grainy, the way it should be. Oh, and I really liked the hot sauce selection, also Covid-friendly, poured in individual cups. I searched for the Firehouse subs website and ended up on Yelp which has an ordering system through GrubHub. That was not exactly what I was looking for but rather I hoped to be able to order directly on the Firehouse subs website. Anyway I input the order for a sandwich for my wife and for me. Her sandwich, a roast beef and cheddar sub, was pretty scant in the cheese department. She reported that there was almost no taste of the cheddar cheese. She had asked for salt and pepper but that was apparently not on the sandwich either. I will say that my pepperoni pizza meatball sub was pretty darn good. When you're paying over 20 bucks for two sandwiches and no sides you expect to at least get salt and pepper if you ask for it. As an aside, when I went into the store to pick up the order, I mentioned that I ordered through yelp. The young lady behind the counter said "You could just call us and we will take your order over the phone and you'll save a few dollars because they charge a convenience fee. Ok so I think I'm over subway! I know I know it's been a staple for so many for so long but we need change sometimes. I was introduced to Firehouse Sub when our managers at work had them during a meeting. They had some left over and shared with us. OMG! They are so much better than Subway in my opinion. I mean yeah I know people like to specialize their sandwiches but sometimes it takes forever and I forget to add ingredients. Now my go to sammie is a tuna on Italian so I decided that for my first sammie at Firehouse I'd choose what else but a tuna. Now you can still customize your sammie but it takes less time and there are already toppings and condiments that come with. Now I always 86 the lettuce on any sammie I get because I don't like lettuce on them. One surprising thing that was put on the sammie was Dijon mustard. I honestly have never had Dijon on a tuna but I was pleasantly surprised at the blending perfection of the two tastes. Basically tuna heaven. I also love that they have sweet tea. There aren't a lot of places that have sweet tea that is fresh brewed and I'm super happy that Firehouse has it. They also have a variety of chips to choose from if you choose to get a combo. You can also choose a cookie combo if you don't want chips. One of the big reasons that I love Firehouse is that it was started by firefighters. I have a soft spot for all first responders and military, so if I can support them in any way I will. The décor inside is also very cool because its fire department everywhere. I love to see all the equipment and helmets and badges. It brings back good memories of the time I was able to ride-a-longs with the fire department. The only draw back is the kids that work there. They are a bit rude and don't pay much attention when you first walk in, which is a big reason I order online. When you order online you can just walk in and pick up your food. I highly suggest stopping by any Firehouse and enjoying their food. I don't let the kids get to me because the Fire department is more important to me than attitudey kids. read more

So excited for the new NW ABQ location! The ABQ Fire Dept. was there ordering when I walked in. Firehouse makes some of the best warm subs around. Although a chain, all subs are made to order with thinly sliced meats that are sooo juicy and flavorful. Order at the counter and they bring out your food. Lots of variety; ham turkey, pulled pork, meatball, salami and steak. The wait is about 5 minutes since they need to make the sandwich and warm it., maybe longer if it's lunch-hour. On your first bite you will realize the juicy-ness of their deli meat.Yum. The original Hook and Ladder (ham, turkey and Monterrey Jack) on wheat bread is my favorite, but I also love their roast beef (on the Firehouse Hero) and the Hawaiian pulled pork with pineapple. I'm not usually into sandwich places but have a friend who is...so, I got talked into going. The firefighter themed sandwich shop is cute, cliche and a little overwhelming. They have many sandwiches that are about 500 calories. But most are 1000-2000. Jared does not work here. You can also order any sandwich with the smaller sandwich roll--it has the same amount of meat, just less bread. I went this route and got the Italian. I didn't think these sandwiches were anymore special than any other sandwich shop, except maybe Subway, which is just gross. They have quite a variety of chips. None of their own. They also have my favorite fancy coke machine. The shop is clean, well staffed and has a nice patio to eat outside at. Would I return? If someone wanted to go. Me and my wife and daughter chose this sub shop since we haven't been in a while. We went there about 7:30 pm January 31, 2022 and as we walked in we were met with two rude individuals one male and one female. The female with tattoos on her arms (Hint hint) with her great attitude when we walked in seemed to be bothered and annoyed rudely stated are you here for pick up and if not walk over to the register and order. Wow if this is how this business greets hungry stomachs I am sure people will not return. As we placed our order we received our cups for drinks went over to the fountain machine and observed spilled liquid on the counter, not a big deal got our drinks and sat. While sitting the rude female with short hair and hat had such a foul mouth on her we could hear her and her other co worker complaining about work. As we still waited the female went over to the fountain machine because a male customer who purchased drinks returned his cups and refused to drink anything from what was at this rear of the business due to cleanliness. As the female went to the fountain machine she continued to use foul language and pretty much looked at me and my family as if we were the culprits who made the mess. She then went over to her co worker made a statement to him saying we have the greatest customer and flipped her two middle fingers up. As a business owner I just don't know how this can be acceptable.. this girl is a cancer to the store and needs to be gone. I really like Fire house Subs but don't think I will be back. The smoking from employees after making sandwiches right outside the east side door and then returning back into the store to touch food is also a downer as well. I absolutely love the store in Albuquerque but this one is horrible. When they first opened we were there. The food was NEVER prepared correctly but we figured it was growing pains. We had a gathering and ordered 8 sandwiches to go. When we got home 3 sandwiches had no meat. Called to complain and was accused if lying and told that could not happen. Food is good here. Service had always been poor . Always. I get that this location is always crazy busy at normal lunch times. But what happens is the employees do the eyes down approach. What I mean is you wait in line to order and no one acknowledges you. Today is last straw. Walked in and one man waiting to order. 4 employees on the line and two in kitchen and one changing syrup on coke machine ( that's another story ) the man said he waited 11 minutes for ANYONE to acknowledge him. I get they are backed up and might not be able to take our order. That's fine. At least have someone say"!we'll be right with you". We waited 9 minutes just to order. Again, that's gone but at Jimmy Johns, for example, they say "we're backed up we'll be right with you." The other thing is the stupid Coke machine. While they were one of the first in Albuquerque to have the Coke machine with a bazillion choices, problem is they only have one. Each person takes twice as King trying to figure out how to use the machine and then to sort through all the choices. A location this busy should have two machines. Sorry. Last visit to this location. Good is great. Best subs. But poor service trumps flavor when there are other locations if the same chain. read more

Yesterday i was at a different locatiin. SAN MATEO is way better. Steak and cheese sub wasn't hot, just barely warn. I think it took so long to get because it must have set on the counterbefor they brought it out to me. Floors needed sweeping or at least pick up the napkins. I wanted to download the app but they dont have free wifi, locked and wont give out the pass word. So i couldnt sign up for the get free sub after 8 visits. The mens room was out of soap. This locarion is run by kids not an adult and it shows. The SAN MATEO location has service, free wifi, a manager whi promotes his business and H O T. food. read more

I love coming here for the New York Steamer! The service and food are always good. The only complaint I have is their selection of hot sauces. The last few times all the sauces were low and they didn't have back ups in the back. I'll probably be back but may have to start bringing my own hot sauce. read more

IMO this is one the best sandwich shops on westside. I like how they take their time making them. The meats are great. Bread is good and never hard like at some other sandwich places nearby. And the combos they offer are pretty darn tasty. Plus the unique thing about firehouse is they have like 20 different types of hot sauce that you can put on your sandwich to spice it up!
