Placed an order via the app, there was a hiccup because the location was being remodeled. Swung by, met with likely a manager. He filled me in on when the restaurant would be back open. Food has always been great here. The Pacific Blue is my go-to sandwich, and my girlfriend and I have ordered from this location through DoorDash many times without any issues. Because of those experiences, this review is disappointing to write. Our recent dine-in experience was completely different. The employee who took our order came across as impatient from the start. Before I had finished ordering, he gave me the total after I mentioned my sandwich. I had to stop him to add two drinks, he sighed, asked how many, and immediately gave me another total. When I added a Goo Ball, he grabbed it, set it on the counter, rang up the new total, and again acted as though I was finished ordering before I had the chance to ask for anything else. We had actually planned to order more, but the interaction made us feel like we were inconveniencing him simply by ordering. I work in the restaurant industry myself, so I understand that everyone has bad days. Had that been the only issue, I wouldn't have taken the time to leave a review. The reason I'm writing this is what happened after we sat down. A woman who appeared to be the employee's girlfriend came into the restaurant, and his demeanor changed immediately. While he was still on the clock, she stood at the front counter by the register, and for much of the time we were there they were engaged in prolonged, intimate kissing and embracing. My girlfriend and I were seated in the booth closest to the register, only a few feet away, and she was facing them the entire time. It made her genuinely uncomfortable, and there was no way to avoid it while we were eating. At one point, a DoorDash driver came in to pick up an order. The employee briefly pointed toward the back of the restaurant, said, "Over there, man," without even looking at the driver, and then immediately went back to his girlfriend. That interaction made it clear he was still actively working while all of this was happening. To be clear, this isn't about an employee greeting their significant other. A quick hug or kiss wouldn't have bothered us. This was prolonged, intimate behavior at the front register while customers were dining, and it felt completely inappropriate for the workplace. I do want to recognize the rest of the staff because they deserve it. Everyone else was working, and the bartender was friendly, professional, and provided excellent customer service throughout our visit. We'll continue ordering DoorDash because the food has always been consistently good, but we won't be dining in at this location again. We'd rather drive the extra 20 minutes to the Menaul location where we've always had positive experiences. I'm not looking for compensation or anything in return. I simply hope management is made aware of what happened because one employee's conduct turned what should have been an enjoyable lunch into an uncomfortable experience. read more

So this was my first time ordering from cheba hut, what food I did receive was really good, especially their sauces, it's unfortunate that like 25% of the order was not delivered . The experience was pretty mixed but the customer service from isaac was good so I maintained a 4 star review because of that. Each of my items was supposed to have guacamole, banana peppers and jalapeños, as well as notes for extra toppings. I didn't get those parts of the meal. In fact I'm glad I called and asked if I could taste some their sauces because if I didn't do that then I wouldn't have gotten any sauce! For example the house sauce and spicy ranch I ordered for the salad didn't arrive. The sauces I ordered with the meal were not delivered and the only ones I received were the extra mixture of sauces that the guy on the phone said he usually would have to charge me for but he would comp it. And it turns out he didn't get the sauces that were supposed to come with the meal and those were the only ones I got anyway. One upsetting part was that if they ran out of stuff they did not try to alert the customer and offer replacement items. I will say this, when I called about this, I got an apology and offer for free items. If I do go back to claim the items I'll let you guys know what the update is like. I think this might be the type of place that you'd want to check your order carefully and only leave once you know you are good to go. I don't recommend doing uber eats from here. I'm being really nice about the review stars because they had a couple sauces that were really good and although the business may not be organized, I think they have really yummy food and the customer service wasn't bad. Came here at 1130, they close at 12. Ordered a white widow which costs $12. Bartender charged me for this other guys order which costs $30. I told her she made a mistake and she it looked like she short circuited when I told her. Took 10 min for her to find my ticket and charge me correctly. I ignored this place for years when I first moved here due to the overt stoner vibes and restaurant chain consistency, but have been kicking myself ever since being dragged to try it with a friend. Their fresh in-house bread is key, as well as their seasonings & sauces, to really make each sub deliciously enjoyable. There are so many combinations of flavors using different meats and fresh veggies and sauces that sometimes it can take a while to decide what to get. I had a KGB sandwich, which was a toasted white bread roll with roast beef and green peppers and a thin layer of watered down horseradish sauce, topped with lettuce, tomatoes, and pickle. The Apollo 13 was a chicken sandwich with cheese and kalamata olives, lettuce, tomatoes, and dill pickle. The French onion soup was really small and very salty, heavy on the beef bouillon flavor. The red onion slices were not cooked, and mostly raw. Not the best. They have a very friendly and polite staff. There is a section where there are about a dozen craft beers on tap. I would put zero stars if I could. Placed an order and went and sat outside and told them we would be outside 20 min go by we ask them about the order and they seemed confused like they just didn't make it and said it would be right out. We go in to sit inside and see a line of hangry customers waiting and now they are telling everyone they had a cater order, there was a lot of people even waiting an hour that just left. Never once did they communicate there would be a wait then I watched them give all the DoorDash drivers free subs, even though everyone had been waiting longer. I always go to Cheba hut for the atmosphere and kind service, but today I was greatly disappointed. Tonight, I drove to this location after I got off work to have a drink. The store was going to close at 2am and I arrived about 1am. When I tried to order from the bartender, she denied me service and stated "I cannot serve you because I saw you hit a pole in the parking lot". This accusation caught me off guard because I 100% did not hit anything while I was parking nor does my car does have a single scratch on it. This implied to me that she did not want to serve me because she wanted to close the bar and get off of work. The way she handled it was very rude, unprofessional, and without justification. I am completely sober and was not acting in any way intoxicated. I am also a bartender as well so I understand protocols for safe alcohol service, but accusing me of damaging property is extremely unsettling and weird. I don't understand how a company can keep a nasty person like this employed or let them treat a regular customer this way. I would not recommend anyone visiting this location. Knowing someone can deny a paying customer service because an employee wrongly accused you of crashing into the building is the absolute last thing I expected!?!? read more

Hand crafted sammies named after famous cannabis strains (such as acapulco gold, kali mist, jamaican red, apollo13, and so much more...) available in the Nug (4"), Pinner (8") or Blunt (12") size with no shortage of kool aid to satisfy "cotton mouth" as they say, and a variety of "munchies" for that quick snack. Plenty of veggie options, creative meat filled choices, and this Ellison location has a full bar, who knew?!? They had lots of entertainment, contests and giveaways going on that day, each sandwich was served on a Cheba Hut frisbee and for as busy as they were, they were pumping out sandwiches like nobody's bizzznezzzz.
