Prior to the renovations, the smaller version of this establishment throughout the 2010s was cramped and slow. Unfortunately, this place has never been consistently good, but perhaps that means it has the potential to improve since it's already at rock bottom. The food is generally okay. I've had chicken here multiple times, and the quality varies--it's either prepared well, overdone, or just right. Sometimes it gets dried out, which makes me think the chicken sits out too long before it's cooked or isn't sold quickly enough. Today, the chicken was fine. I also noticed they've installed plexiglass between customers and cashiers. While that's understandable, it feels like they're creating a barrier between the staff and the customers. I'm not sure why, but when I see that, it gives the impression they want distance. Is it for safety or concerns about something airborne? I'm unsure, but since this was done AFTER COVID-19, it makes me think they anticipated potential issues with customers, which is always a bad sign to me.
