So I came here on a loan Saturday night with a friend to test the food because the reviews were so good and the place we wanted was closed. So we came and meet up with some pretty cool people that were dining there already. So they said the food was good and I continued to order the jerk chicken with cabbage and rice and peas. Very enjoyable. My friend ordered the jerk shrimp and we were both VERY DISAPPOINTED by what we say. For $5 l, there was only 4 small pieces and the pieces looked undercooked, not seasons to perfection and just not up to restaurant quality. But this place deserves the 5 stars I gave it Comparing the food I get from here compared to any other late night joint and fast casuals. This place even got live music and cute intimate seating. The chef offers quality food and they have almost 100 things to offer. Their Patties are great (Beef over Chicken though for sure) doused in that carribean pepper sauce. Also live a little and order the damn oxtail (if they have some in stock they're always out of stock so that should say something) you wont leave here upset or hungry. read more

Not very good. Portions good size but quality low. Probably lowest quality Jamaican food I've tasted. My friend from Haiti with me agreed. Server was nice tho she over charged me $10 for a dish I didn't order. Didn't notice till after I left. Hope they improve their quality. read more

My Caribbean friends wanted to eat here after a night out at downtown Orlando. I advised them that I hadn't eaten here before but yet, they still wanted to eat here. I advised them of the Yelp reviews yet, they didn't want to listen. We ordered two plates of oxtail and I got a veggie patty. I asked my friends if they were sure they wanted oxtails and they said yes, it's hard to mess them up. I want to date say, these oxtails left a lot to be desired. Let's start with the positives; I definitely appreciate how fresh the food was. Everything was hot and that's definitely hard to do . I believe the oxtails were fresh because they were also tough. Oxtails need to stew down and these were not tender. The food was oily. My patty was hot but lacked the flavor I'm used to. The food was overpriced to me but I do understand we're downtown and that plays a factor. Not sure if I would try this place again but I do appreciate the fact that all of our food was hot and fresh. read more

We Ordered from a delivery service and were really disappointed in what we recieved. This pics speak for themselves. I ordered oxtails and I got 1 1/2 oxtails in total!!! For 16!??!?!? Horrible!!! My husband got the jerk chicken and it was the same, hardly any meat, all rice. The cabbage was bland. And their desserts are a joke. You pay $5 for a sliver of nothing basically or a packaged item, just sad. $3 for 4 pieces of plantain. Will never get again. Over $50 wasted and not even filling or good. Came in for a late bite to eat with a coworker. He ordered the roast chicken. I ordered the salmon, with the rice and beans on the side. My friend really enjoyed his chicken. My salmon was a tad over cooked, but still tasty. The owner was very sweet and offered us flutes of moscato and a couple of slices of carrot cake, which we enjoyed. Not sure when they have live jazz, but there were reggae covers of popular songs playing, which we enjoyed. I had the total diner vibe when we walked in and we were surprised by the menu. I've tried Jam Eng a couple of times through delivery and I am very pleased with their food. I ordered the stew chicken and it is very well seasoned and tastes just as it should. My boyfriend ordered the Oxtail and he was extremely satisfied. I usually get the Mac and cheese and rice and peas as a side and they both go very well with each meal. The only thing that I must say is that they don't serve plantains when their online pictures shows plantains. It would compliment the meal so well I'm so surprised they don't have plantains in their menu. Another thing is that they forgot a couple of times on one of my deliveries that I was really excited to try, but I lived and really enjoyed the food. I will definitely be ordering more often and will be trying all of the other dishes that look incredible. read more

All I can say is yummmmm! We came here to support local business during the lockdown. We ordered to go meal and we're greeted by one of the friendly cooks (I believe his name was Mike), he was friendly and personable while explaining the menu to us. It's a nice fusion of British and Jamaican food. We ordered the oxtail meal. The food was not only delicious but the portion sizes were very good. I got the smallest one and it was enough for my boyfriend and I to share. We also shared a chicken beef patty, which was also pretty good. I'm happy we discovered this hidden jem in downtown Orlando. The two stars because of the price, so it wasn't that much of a lost. However, the food was terrible. I ordered Jerk chicken because the pictures displayed looked amazing. The chicken I received was cooked well however, it wasn't Caribbean jerk chicken. It was basic chicken with jerk chicken sauce, store-bought sauce, covering the chicken. I have been here a few times so far since their grand opening on April 27th, 2019. Let me tell you each time has been grand. My favorite thing I have tried from their menu is a toss up between their Ox Tails and their Jerk Chicken. But the thing that is most appreciated is the comforting family oriented atmosphere the restaurant brings. Their staff is inviting and knowledgeable of the menu and beer & wine lists. However, if you were looking for a quick meal, they do have a to-go/grab-and-go through the entrance on Orange Ave. In addition, they gave me a lunch specials menu the last time I went in there. It runs until 3:30 which is great for those days I can't leave the office at noon. But this menu also starts back up again at 10 pm for those late nights on the town.
