Update!! Finally…read moreback home in New Mexico and I was just talking about the pub to someone, and the same thing kept coming up - the barmaid, Tracey. I think in all, my wife, goat and myself went to the pub 4 times and for three of those times, tracey was working. Tracey has an enviable skill to be able to blur the line of staff and customer. She makes everyone she meets a friend she just doesn't know yet and put them in a truly british pub comfortable vibe. There was one incident where my wife had to return her food as it wasn't done properly, and Tracey jumped on it immediately and made sure to put it right in the kitchen. I feel like Tracey and I connected almost immediately and as much as I might sound bias, I am trying to remain as impartial as I can. Tracey might not be the face and the glitter of the pub but her hard working mindset and smile sure is the backbone in my opinion. She rarely stops as she is so dedicated to her work and her customers. She's a true asset to the place and if the pub is smart, they will keep her on staff for many years to come.

We tried several dishes from their menu, and I must say, everything was absolutely delicious! My personal favorites are the oxtail, the Jamaican Beef Patty, and the Mac and cheese. If you're a fan of oxtail or curious, you really must try it here - it's cooked to perfection! And don't get me started on their Jamaican Beef Patty - it's so flavorful and the patties are always made fresh, they're one of their most popular items. One thing to note, though - make sure you get here early because their patties are so good that they always run out fast! I just had the worst experience I've ever had at any restaurant in my life here. I ordered my food and noticed the lady working the register went from mopping to grabbing my food without even washing her hands. Her hands and nails were filthy. I tried letting the owner of this place know his employee did not wash his hands and he tells me "she's Native American she doesn't know about hygiene". I'm shocked beyond belief at this point. Then, The owner and register lady start having a scream off as I'm just standing there. It got to the point where I didn't even want to eat anymore I just wanted to be away from these people. There was a young lady who did end up helping me and she was very sweet. I don't know her name but I want to applaud her for handling it like a professional. This place is just falling apart on the inside, you can tell when you go in that it is not very well maintained and clean. I went the Caribbean route and got a kola champagne, with a tasty salivating Jamaican patty that slaps more than ya muva, and stew rice and sauce, it was Jamaican food. Nothing out of the ordinary - just good, standard pernil. But those tostones... I'm confident I'll be stopping here for tostones whenever I'm in the area.
