For the uninitiated, Jamaican rice and peas consist of red kidney beans and rice that's cooked in broth, coconut milk, and tons of aromatic spices. This isn't your white rice and green peas type of situation. I could have eaten this rice on its own, but add in the brown stew sauce and WOW. Also, I love the cabbage side because it adds a vinegary note that offsets the rich stew. Note: The chicken is cut up and includes bones. - Coco bread: This is a Jamaican style bun baked with coconut milk.
