    Jerk Chicken

The jerk chicken plate was SO good and they definitely did not skimp on the portions. It came with so much food and everything was flavorful and authentic. The place was packed when I went, and honestly I could tell why immediately. The staff was super nice, the restaurant had such authentic vibes, and the overall atmosphere was great. Definitely a spot worth going to again!

I landed in Orlando after my quick trip to Jamaica and I was still craving Caribbean food. So TikTok led me to Caribbean Sunshine and the internet wins again! My only complaint is that I ordered the food online through their website and once I arrived they had no documentation of my order. At first I was highly annoyed but the guy behind the counter did a quick service recovery. He ensured me my food would be ready in 5min and upgraded my order for the inconvenience. Now to the flavor... the jerk chicken was falling off the bone and full of flavor. They also added a jerk sauce that you real don't need but I'm a sauce lover so of course I added it on top. Once I drove home I got into the oxtails which were flavored VERY well although they had a bit of fat still on them. The rice and beans were excellent and the plantains tasted like they had been cooked with rum. Overall the food and service was great and anytime I'm in the area they have my business.

Curry Goat, sweet plantain, cabbage and fried dumplings. OMG!!!

This is one of the only places I will buy curry goat! The meat is very flavorful and tender, and the cabbage, sweet plantains, and the fried dumplings just set it all off! Also, I got my last order through delivery and I really like that they stapled the bag closed although they forgot my beef patties. It didn't even matter the rest of the food was so good.!

I'm traveling down here for Work, and I was craving some Caribbean food. Some of the locals that I found told me about this spot so I had to go check it out. I'm mad that I came a little late for a beef patty. because by the time I got there they were all gone. I ended up ordering a beef stew chicken plate with cabbage and white rice. The food was very good. The cabbage was still very hard and a very hard crunchy for me. I like my cabbage cooked a little longer. Not really any season on the cabbage but mixing it with the gravy, rice and chicken you can't tell nothing. 4 out of five for me because of the crunchy cabbage and no beef patties available around 5:30pm-6pm so fair warning to anybody that wants a patty with their meal, you better go early during the day because they will probably be gone. I have a feeling they're really good.

Food was delicious $40 will feed 3 grown people!! Service is quick and friendly!! I loved the vibe in the place ... There's a few things in one location. Reminds me of the old days with the Magic Mall ... But just a glimpse

As a Jamaican who takes pride in exploring and supporting Caribbean cuisine globally, I can say Caribbean Sunshine Bakery delivers a respectable and authentic experience. From the moment you step in, the atmosphere feels familiar -- the colors, the music, the aromas... it immediately evokes memories of back home. They nailed the motif. The space is modest, but the vibe is unmistakably Jamaican. They've done well to preserve that cultural essence. The food itself is satisfying. Portions are generous, and the flavors are true to what we know and love. Pricing overall leans slightly high, but not unreasonable for quality Jamaican food. If you're in search of a place that honors the culture with integrity and serves up a solid plate, Caribbean Sunshine Bakery is worth a visit. I would certainly return when in the area.

Basic takeout spot, mom and pop feel to the location. Service is pretty fast. The star is the food. I always order the Oxtail and it hits every time. They are full of flavor and tender The oxtail gravy is top tier.

The prices here are great and they have many different options for patties! I did like the chicken and beef ones better from their competitor though, as I thought the flavor could've been better. I would stop by here to try the other ones again! TikTok Reviewer: acaicaitlin

Food was hot and ready service was quick. There's a lot of different food options inside, my food particularly was very good. My favorite go to would be Jamaican Patti and jerk chicken over peas and rice . Definitely recommend for a quick lunch.

Saltfish, specks of ackee. Lots of banana. I had already removed the small piece if yam.

Well I am here again regarding Caribbean Sunshine Bakery. After my last review I decided to give them another try. Bigger disappointment again. I only go here for the Ackee and Saltfish which theirs was always the best. Now they are serving plates of salt fish with chopped up small bits and pieces of Acker. If I wanted saltfish only, I would have ordered that. Is there an Acker shortage that I don't know about? At this point, I am sorry to say that you have lost a customer with me.

    Filling, wasn't my favorite.

I was getting together with some friends and we ordered from Negril. Luckily, a couple of my friends are Jamaican and they helped steer me to some new faves! Food I'd highly recommend: - Brown stew chicken meal with rice and peas, fried plantain, and stewed cabbage. This dish is rich and has the potential for leftovers if you're not starving. For the uninitiated, Jamaican rice and peas consist of red kidney beans and rice that's cooked in broth, coconut milk, and tons of aromatic spices. This isn't your white rice and green peas type of situation. I could have eaten this rice on its own, but add in the brown stew sauce and WOW. Also, I love the cabbage side because it adds a vinegary note that offsets the rich stew. Note: The chicken is cut up and includes bones. - Coco bread: This is a Jamaican style bun baked with coconut milk. It's especially good when paired with a patty in the middle (yes, the coco bread around the patty! Carb heaven!). - Festival: Jamaican festival is a sweet fried dough made with cornmeal, flour, sugar, salt, vanilla extract, and milk aka a dumpling. Yes this is as good as it sounds- especially for soaking up brown stew gravy! I was BLOWN away to see an entire veggie section of the menu (for online ordering) featuring soya veggie chunks (a soy based option with the consistency of chicken). That's a HUGE deal for those of us with vegetarians in the family. Overall, delicious Jamaican food that I'll definitely order again!

Wow these portions!…read more What Ofcourse I got the 2 signature meals. The jerk chicken and also the fried chicken with honey. The jerk chicken, I got with rice and peas, mixed veggies and cabbage. The cabbage was a little strange to me- not as I imagined from Jamaica steamed cabbage. The mixed veggies were also basic - like boiled frozen mixed veggies. The rice and peas were overall good but tasted a little on the hard side. The chicken though! This was the highlight - it was very flavorful, though I wish I would be able to have the sauce on the side.. For the fried chicken meal - the fried chicken was nice and hot. I got this to-go and was worried it would get soggy but it still tasted great when I got home. Environment This is located in a plaza tucked away near the corner. It seems to be a more takeout restaurant. There is some seats inside for your to enjoy the food. Since it is in a plaza, there is plenty of parking available, but in front of the restaurant could be a bit tricky. Niceness of the staff I would say she was not on the nice side. No one greeted me upon entering also they seemed preoccupied and did not once gave eye-contact. Definitely not friendly.. but nonetheless I got my food. Dollar It is like the bang for your buck. I ordered via UnderEats and there are deals, it was very reasonable as you get 2 leg quarters! Yes I would definitely order takeout again

Bob Marley A Tribute to Freedom met all these requirements and blew our expectations out of the water. Yes, it was a splurge, but it was some of the best food we have had. And, we had great music accompanying our meal. I ordered the Natty Dread Vegetable Pasties with yucca fries and sweet bread. The filling was delicious, but it was the pastry dough that knocked my socks off. My husband agreed! I also split an Island Mai Tai with my husband--a real, classic mai tai,l with orgeat--and it was perhaps the best we'd ever had. (It was $18, though, for maybe 8 ounces, including ice and fruit--yikes!) The spouse had the jerk chicken with rice and pidgeon peas and some sweet plantains. (I traded some of my sweet bread for some of those sweet plantains--yum!) He said it was the best food he had while in Orlando. Our 12yo got a vegetable stew (Itel Soup) with root vegetables, cassava dumplings, black beans, and plantains. She thought it was fine originally, asked for salt, and then really liked it. The husband got the 12yo's leftovers, and he thought it was great, too (but agreed that in needed salt and pepper). Nonetheless, she liked it, and we all found something on the menu we could enjoy. Finally, the server was amazing. He was so great managing our tired, grumpy 12yo (and her tired, grumpy parents). He was able to coax her into choosing a dish and eating it, too, which I don't know if we would have succeeded in doing without him. He also pointed our the many non-alcoholic beverage options, so she was able to have her own tasty drink, a Jamaican Cream Soda. There were *several* vegetarian dishes on the menu that looked fantastic and I would love to have a chance to try. I hope we can make it to Orlando again sometime to try those other dishes!

The menu read great and we were excited to try this place since we love Jamaican Food. Was not easy to make a reservation - had to call Universal main line and choose from options. However, once we got a person, the reservation process was easy and pleasant. We informed the person taking the reservation that this was our first time visiting the restaurant so we expected a nice table - I assume they want repeat business. But instead we were seated right in front of the live band and it was so loud, we couldn't talk at all. The funny thing was that the restaurant was barely half full! Our waiter also had a tough time hearing us so we had to corret our orders a couple of times. They ran out of beef patties:-( that day. We decide to order some appetizers and a couple of entrees and shared. We had the Buffalo Soldier Jerk Wings - Had a nice spice to it and was quite delicious. We also hd the Jerk Caulifolower bites - a little sweet and spicy sauce and we all agreed this was the best dish we had! We had the Curried Goat stew - a weak curry and did not really have any spice to it. The Reggae Jamaican Jerk Chicken had a sweet spice and sticky sauce - next best dish we had. We also ordered the Coco bread- which was disappointing andd I do not recommend. It was just bread with some butter in it and definitely overpriced for what you got! Cocktails were rather weak. Server was just OK. He wasn't very attentive and did nothing to make our visit great.
