I love Jakes cheeseburgers! That are always fresh arrive hot even when delivered. EXCEPT December 30, 2025. The burger was so bad that I had to trash it with being able to eat it. The meat did not look or taste fresh, it tasted like it was made with frozen patties. It arrived Cold, like ice cold. The salad was so old the cucumbers were slimy and the lettuce was all pink. I've been going to Jake's since I first saw them at skill man Abram's area years ago . I recently moved to Addison and was skeptical about another location . They looked brand new at this Addison location . I went with my girl friend and was greeted with a smile from I think the manager Katherine . Kat... she kindly directed us to the bar where Ryan took care of us had some onion rings and some drinks Kat made sure we were good.. her and Ryan , made our experience great smiles all the way.. will be stopping by here again. Is coming here for the past few years unfortunately the new ownership has made some poor decisions in changing their menu. First of all a patty melt is on Texas toast because they are no longer willing to purchase rye bread. Also, the infamous avocado toast is no longer on the menu due to poor sales. This makes no sense considering the ingredients for these items are staples on their menu. First rule of running a restaurant is don't mess with the menu. The best burgers in town! Ordered the #48 with tots. One of the tastiest burgers I've had in my 57 years of existence, and the tots were haot and salty (like me). The service was a bit slow, but it was definitely worth every minute. The joint is comfortable and inviting, and the staff were nice and attentive. Met up with a previous work associate for lunch at Jake's. After reviewing the menu, which covers a wide range of offerings, I went with the Cob salad. My salad and associate's salads arrived. I've always loved Jake's Burgers, this location was short staffed but even after that I got amazing service I sit at the bar with Giovanni and he was super nice, they forgot my jalapeño chips on my burger and I told him he can just give me the chips since I had ate half the burger and he said no way and he remade my whole order! What happened to their burgers. Two weeks ago the double cheeseburger burger had two big juicy patties that made for a very tasty burger. Today, the two thinnest patties that were over cooked to the point there was no juice, resulting diminished flavor. Why do restaurants go out of their way to make customers leave? I highly recommend an order of loaded cheddar cheese fries or the yummy Cajun fries. So good I cannot imagine how much better it would have been if I had actually gone to the location. Both sides of the buns have poppyseeds, the cheese is outrageously abundant. The visit started off with the waiter telling us how terrible the burgers are here. Odd but we just tried to ignore it. We asked for chips and queso to which he told us the queso was nasty. Ok? Went in for lunch after church today at 1:15. We were seated promptly and asked if we wanted drinks. When it came time to order, we wanted brunch food. We were told that brunch ends at 1:00. 1:00?!!! The waitress went and asked if the cooks would still do it and they affirmed. We placed our order and I wanted the Eggs Benedict. Then she came back and said they had no ham. I had to get the menu again and decided on a Turkey Burger. She came back and said they have no Turkey. What?!! What kind of operation is this. I settled on a grilled chicken sandwich. My husband had the migas and he said they were disappointing. My mother (91 years old) had a kid's hamburger and they charged 20₵ for lettuce and 20₵ for tomatoes.
