Southwest eggs benedict

Of course we had to return for the famous eggs benedict and it still lives up to the hype! This spot stays busy for good reason! We love it here!

Jailhouse is apparently an institution of Moab. It was a good breakfast/brunch place for what we wanted. It was good but not super special. Mostly typical eggs, omelets, pancakes and waffle. Fairly pricey, but comparable to other spots in town. If you like this kind of food, it's worth stopping in. Our service was friendly. And the restaurant itself was cute.

We had a great experience at Jailhouse while in town! Our entire time was seamless, and the staff was amazing. The food was hot, delicious and quick! Would highly recommend coming here for a breakfast. We sat outside and it was a great vibe.

Coffee. Decent.

Here is the most honest review you'll get. We got here on Monday 9:20am. Stopped in because it was packed. We only waited 5 mins. Got seated but then had to wait awhile before we got asked if we wanted anything. Ordered 2 cups of 5 buck coffee. It was decent. Then we ordered a stack of pancakes (4). It was 15 bucks for very basic pancakes. Pricey. Ordered side of bacon (3) strips for 8 bucks. This was some of the best bacon I've ever had. Very very good. Ordered a omelette. Omelette was small but good. Toast was super cold. Potato's were cold and had very good flavors. Spicy. Perfect however cold. Overall this is not a typical greasy spoon restaurant. Good had great flavors but over priced. I most likely will never come again. 3 stars. Bacon was amazing. Vibe was excellent. Music. . Food was. Basic.

Thick Bacon

This restaurant is known for their Eggs Benedict, Swedish Pancakes and their thick bacon. We ordered 2 of these items and agreed with the recommendations. The Eggs Benedict are really so delicious. They use a non-traditional hollandaise sauce which, amazingly amped up the flavor of the eggs! And the eggs were perfectly made so that the whites were thoroughly cooked and the yolk was runny. Odd, but this is a difficult thing to get in a restaurant. The meal was served with delicious home fries where the potatoes were moist and flavored. We also ordered a side of their thick bacon, which had a bit of a different flavor - very nice. The bacon was perfectly cooked. We took a chance on the egg scramble, which had lots of promise with the many ingredients listed, but the eggs were overcooked and dry, so the other ingredients couldn't compensate. They served the eggs with a very nice bread for their toast. We almost didn't come here as we only saw the side of the building, which was a very small house looking structure. But as you continue down the street, you can see that they have expanded their restaurant to include the dining area: an "inside" area and a patio area. All of this new structure is glass or plastic windows, they have heating and cooling to accommodate for the time of day and they did a great job of making a pleasant eatery. Everyone we met at the restaurant was pleasant and kind. It was such an enjoyable time. We have a few more days in Moab, so we will be back.

Really good service is the hallmark of this place as are the pancakes. We tried the Swedish pancakes with lingonberry jam. They were very good - served hot and fresh, light and thin. While the flavor is the same as a regular pancake, the thinness was unique. We ate the chorizo scramble which was hearty and savory. Lattes were great! Friendly service and good, down home feel.

Delicious breakfast in Moab! The ginger pancakes with the apple butter was phenomenal and the Benedict was flavorful. Even without a side of sausage or eggs, the pancakes were very filling. The tea was just Tazo, which was good but I was hoping for lose leaf for the price. Service was quick and the venue was quite charming. I appreciated that even in the new wing, they stayed true to the historic house with a metal relief ceiling nice touch.

Chorizo burrito

Great place to fuel up before hitting the Arches National Park. The chorizo burrito was hearty without being too heavy. The potatoes were great too with a southwest seasoning. Coffee was also very good. Others at the table enjoyed their meals as well. Not too long of a wait and service was good.

Eggs florentine

This cute little breakfast place was the perfect end to my Moab trip. A classic American style breakfast joint. I got a hot latte and the eggs florentine, both were great. My cousin got buttermilk pancakes and she loved them, super fluffy! They had lots of servers working, so we didn't wait long for our food and drinks. There was a short wait on a Sunday morning, but they still got us seated quickly. Awesome place!

Our first night in Moab couldn't have started much better!…read more Our server, Onur, was incredibly attentive and genuinely kind throughout the meal. We arrived around 6:00 p.m., and not long after we were seated the restaurant really started filling up, so getting there a little earlier was perfect. We started with the small Greek salad, which was fresh and a great way to begin the meal. My partner ordered the flat iron steak with a baked potato, grilled zucchini, and a roll. The steak was unbelievably tender...you could cut it with a butter knife. I ordered the Zac Mac & Cheese, and it was delicious. It was loaded with fresh, crunchy bacon and fresh jalapeños throughout, giving it just the right amount of flavor and a little kick. It also came with a warm roll. Between the excellent food, friendly service, and welcoming atmosphere, Zax made for a fantastic first dinner in Moab. We'd definitely come back.

If you're looking for amazing appetizers you have to try their pickle fries and wings! AMAZING! They have an upstairs with misters and TVS for sports - and the downstairs bar area seemed chill too! The hot honey pineapple pizza was delicious! The crust had the honey glazed on it! So yummy! Def recommend if you have a big group! They have the space to accommodate the bigger tables!!:D
