I had a great purchase experience on my new Defender with Bill Farrow. I decided to upgrade from my Rivian back in June and was introduced to Bill after walking into the dealership. We discussed the 2026 OCTA and he told me that they would be updating the website with the 2026 model in the next couple of weeks with additional color options. I heard back from Bill the following week, and he was able to get me one of their first allocations for the 2026's. A few days later, we spec'd the truck and my order was in for an October delivery. No haggling on price or dealer markup on the truck. I called Bill about a month before delivery to make sure we were still on schedule. He made me aware of the issues JLR was having with a cyber incident. My truck was already waiting at the port in So Cal but would still be ready for delivery in October. Bill was also able to offer me a very good price on my Rivian for trade-in, which was fantastic. My truck arrived at the dealer 2 days before the scheduled delivery date in October. The delivery experience was awesome. Bill was very thorough, walking me through the infotainment and car features. They also put in the all-weather floor mats that I had ordered with the car. Regina was terrific, walking me through all the paperwork and helping with a wheel & tire package along with scheduled maintenance. I would highly recommend Jaguar Land Rover Monterey if you are shopping for a new car. Big fail on this dealer. So I ruined my last key to my Land Rover. I went in to buy a new key fob. Oh sir you need to buy 2 keys cost $1180.00 for both and it will be 1 month none refundable.... Ok :/ so I paid for it. They told me it would be additional $300 to reprogram .... OFK. Do it, I've already pre paid... so when the keys arrived 34 days later. There was no solid backup key in the fob....wtf .... They nicely blew me off and said I should have said something before hand. And also $125 per solid key...bad business. Tried to purchase a vehicle from them, got the numbers and was ready to move forward. Tried to put a deposit down to hold vehicle, which we were told was not an option. Tried contacting Ramon (our initial salesman) and Chris (the sales manager) a total of 9 times over the course of several days, to get the deal done. We received absolutely no response or calls back. Later to find out they did in fact take a deposit after already working with us. Was going to buy a second car from them as well. They clearly don't care about clients, or potential business. I will never refer this dealer, even to my worst enemy. Highly suggest taking your business elsewhere, where they value and respect customers. Should have read some of the other bad reviews about them, I guess you don't expect that when you are planning on spending a lot of money at a Land Rover branded dealership. read more

This dealership tells you they are honest and care about their reputation. Don't believe it. I purchased a used car from them. They took video and photos from angles that hid damage. They then pointed out two areas of damage, and claimed it was the only damage beyond wear and tear. They lied. When the car arrived it had additional debts and far more rock chips and bumper scrapes than they said. I asked them to split the cost of repairing the damage. They refused, again claiming their photos shield them...even though their photos don't show the extent of the damage and they claimed there wasn't any other than the two they told me about. Hope it was worth it to them. If just one person reads my review and chooses not to buy from them, they've lost far more than the small amount I asked them to split with me. The photos show the additional dents and excess rock chips and scrapes beyond the normal smaller chips for a vehicle that's 6 years old. read more

My daughter and I visited Jaguar Land Rover Monterey this past weekend because I was interested in looking at the new convertible Evoque. Unlike many car dealerships where you can barely get your foot in the door before being bombarded by multiple salesmen, we were all but ignored. After approaching the receptionist, requesting a brochure, and asking to speak with a salesman regarding the Evoque, Chris Diaz came out to talk to me. His body language and lack of responsiveness to my questions was a clear indication that he fully intended to remain standing there at the receptionist's desk, while having me thumb through the brochure. When I asked about the available options, he referred me back to the brochure. I explained to him that I'd seen plenty of pictures online, and had come to the dealership hoping to see a vehicle in person. I had to ask him if there were any Evoque's in stock that we could take a look at. He then informed me that there weren't any convertibles at their location, so I asked if I could still see what cars they had available anyway. He finally took me out to the lot and showed me one of the cars they had in stock. I felt rushed the entire time I was looking at the car, and wasn't even offered an opportunity to test drive it. When I asked if it was possible to see the inventory available at nearby dealerships, explained that looking it up on my phone was challenging, and asked how difficult it would be to get one brought to the dealership if I found one I liked, he mentioned it was getting late (almost 5). He suggested I leave my contact information with him so he could follow up with me later in the week; effectively dismissing me. I'd previously tried filling out an online interest form, and hadn't ever received a response. I work often, so my only other option was to come into the dealership when I was available. After the interaction with Mr Diaz this past weekend, I submitted another online interest form Monday morning hoping to actually get some help. Unfortunately, Chris Diaz was the one who replied to my interest form. Mr Diaz hadn't seemed to want my business when I'd come into the dealership, so I informed him of my decision to visit the dealership in San José instead. I think a Land Rover dealership should at least meet basic expectations. Thankfully, the staff at the Stevens Creek location didn't let me down. They know how to treat a customer! My suggestion to anyone interested in buying a Land Rover would be to drive the distance and visit the Land Rover dealership in San José. They have a larger inventory, and they treat you like they appreciate your business. It was well worth the drive. read more

Have brought my car here several times. Often leave feeling that things are overlooked. In addition, the business that cleans the car after the work is completed are thieves. If you take your car here, remove everything from your car, even inconsequential stuff, otherwise it will be stolen. Or worse, tossed. In general I think there is a lack of regard for customers. What a great buying experience we had purchasing our new Volvo S60. Dan Baer was the representative who helped us in our buying decision and process. They were professional, delivered what was promised and at a price just above their invoice. We did quite a bit of research on the car, and pricing and this dealership gave us the best deal, hands down. After the paperwork was completed (in less than 30 minutes by the way), Dan took us out to our new car and patiently walked us through all the relevant details including how to pair our phones to the electronics. Oh, just before that, Dan and his colleague checked the car for any finger prints and the like and gave it a quick once over. What great service. The last car we purchased was 10 years ago from another dealer and I have to say, I hate buying a new car because of all the usual BS. However, Dan and his colleagues have changed my mind. I have had two car buying experiences with this dealership in the past 6 months - the first where I purchased a Land Rover LR4 and the second where I test drove and extensively checked out a Volvo S90, although ultimately did not purchase. In both instances I was helped by George L. (who I made sure to ask for the second time around). While everyone I interacted with was professional and courteous, including other salesmen and the Finance department, George especially was a very knowledgeable salesman without being aggressive. He recognized that I had done my homework and simply wanted to ask a few questions and test drive, and was very quick to respond via email if I had more questions prior to purchasing. When it came time to talk pricing I thought it was a very fair and reasonable process. He was just as graceful the second time around when I did not end up purchasing, which is something I will keep in mind the next time I am in the market for a vehicle. I had an incredibly positive buying and service experience at Jag Monterey! I worked with Davin and Ted, and from the time of my first test drives (trying to decide which model to buy) to the final delivery of my vehicle (and even support after), I was treated as a valued customer. Davin allowed me to test drive a V6 and V8 Jag F-type back-to-back, as I would drive the cars (not just a tempered and boring test drive!), and he patiently went over finances with me to determine what was within my budget (a no-nonsense, transparent process, thankfully!). Then he helped me search the US for the specific vehicle I wanted. Within just 5 days of my initial visit, my car arrived in CA from TX! Coming from another dealership, sight unseen, the car did unfortunately arrive with a few nicks and scratches. Davin permitted me to inspect the car myself, note everything I wanted corrected, and it was no challenge for Jag Monterey to fix. We agreed that while away for the holidays, Davin and Ted would pick up my car from my home, provide me a loaner car, and when I returned, I drove down to pick up my F-type in absolutely perfect condition! Since 2009 we've purchased 6 JLR vehicles here and continue to have them all serviced with Jaguar Land Rover Monterey. In fact my family pre-dates "Jaguar Land Rover Volvo Monterey" as my grand parents purchased several Jaguars here when they were just "Monterey Jaguar"! In short the sales team has always been courteous, knowledgeable and reasonable. The service: World Class. We cannot say enough good things about the service manager, advisors, technicians and parts team. The service they provide and quality of work is unparalleled. This is not to say errors aren't made (after all, none of us are perfect). However what makes the service team at Jaguar Land Rover Volvo Monterey stand out, is if/when an error is made they go above and beyond to make it right! Best car purchasing experience I've ever had. Vinnie and Graham were respectful, transparent, and easy. I (thankfully) look younger than I am and that's lead to getting jerked around to flat out ignored at other dealers. I was treated as if I was buying an Ftype SVR. I was speaking with Vinnie on a different model. He understood what I was looking for, but unfortunately the lease math on that specific car just wasn't working despite their transparency on minimum MF/residuals. He apologized and even offered some recommendations of folks to speak with at some non-Jaguar/LR dealers that had competing models. I told him I'd love to do business with him in the future. Randomly the next morning I was looking at their broader inventory. One model caught my eye. I texted Vinnie. He instantly replied and said he'd come back with a quote. 3 text messages and 30 minutes later we negotiated a deal that involved a very fair price on my trade in. Graham was also fantastic walking me through the paperwork and showing me all the new bells and whistles. A true enthusiast! Ended up with a great daily driver with a deal I'm not sure could have been replicated anywhere else in the broader Bay Area. No BS. If I could give negative stars I would. I have owned more than 40 cars over the years including, Mercedes, BMW, Porsche etc. etc. and have to say this was the shadiest, worse dealership I have ever worked with. Tim Gonzales had posted a Jag XKR with 300 miles on it for sale in Autotrader. I called the day it was posted but did not get a call back so called again the following day which was a Saturday. We chatted on the phone and I told him I wanted the car. He stated I would need to fill out their credit app even though I was already pre-approved with my credit union. I did as instructed at 4:00 pm that same day. He had told me he would get back to me within a couple hours with word from the bank. He not only did not call that night, but not the next day either even after leaving numerous messages on his mobile phone. Monday I tracked him down and was told everything was a go and would need to give him a deposit to hold the car for me until I could make down there as I was heading to Chicago. I immediately gave him a $5000 deposit. He sent me the contracts to sign the next day which had mistakes so informed him we would need to amend or re-write it. He said, no sweat. Tried to reach him that Wednesday to no avail as I guess he had that off as well. On Thursday I arrived in Chicago and text-ed him to find out if the car was going to be ready to which I got a reply to call him. I was astonished to hear the dealership had sold the car out from under me. He blamed everyone except himself. Instead of putting a sold sign on the car, he left it in the showroom and was sold by someone else. Never got a call from management apologizing, nothing! I was needles to say furious. He then a few days later called and said they had located another for me. I asked him to find out if it had 20" wheels. Said he would check and get right back to me. Again, no call back. Emailed him the next day to get the answer and he stated he forgot and would get back to me. NEVER DID. Ended buying another Jag from Jaguar Sacrament which was on the opposite end of the spectrum. Possibly the best experience I have had. My recommendation is drive the distance to Sacramento and do not use this dealership, especially Tim. I wish I had read the reviews before they did an engine exchange on my Volvo. Over $10,000 dollars later the car still won't run correctly. Poor repair facility, they will not back their work. Several things wrong, had to take it to another dealer to correct the issues at hand. Day after driving out of the shop, engine light and transmission light went on, the car started shaking. They didn't even offer to bring it back to check it. Left the A/C plug in, left old coil wires on engine......who does that? BEWARE FOLKS I cannot recommend this DEALER.....find another repair facility for your vehicle. read more

They did what I needed while I waited. My Range Rover's dash told me my 'smart key's' battery was low. I went to the parts department and, presto, my key had a new battery. $5.36. Cool. I had a problem with the tailgate. One of the straps that hold it while in the down position was loose and stuck. The service manager and a mechanic got it unstuck and bolted back in place in about five minutes. No Charge. Even better given most dealerships never do anything without making you fill out a service order. I am impressed. read more

Hands down, the friendliest service people on the planet. I'm normally from the SF Bay Area and live here for college, and went in asking for a spare tire cover for my '96 Discovery. They were extraordinarily friendly and kind. While I was waiting for the parts folk to find the parts in the back, the other parts associates were talking to me about my Disco. I felt valued, and that these men were truly passionate about Land Rovers and their capabilities. When it came to looking up parts, they were incredibly kind, patient with all my questions, and cordial. If I ever need parts for my Land Rover again, I will most definitely drive 2+ hours just to experience that kind of service again. read more

Hello Yelpians, Sales Experience: I am the new owner of a Range Rover Sport V8. I had always wanted a Range Rover and did a lot of research before getting serious. I had my price range in mind and spotted a RRS V8 on the lot that caught my eye. I worked with Julian Keogh, who was very patient with my MANY questions and was very knowledgeable. He answered all my questions and I even test drove the RR twice, once alone and then again with my wife. The total experience was pleasant from working with Julian to signing the papers with Ron Briones in finance. I definitely recommend this dealership, which promotes a high class environment and knows how to treat their customers well. It was truly refreshing not to have to haggle, be pressured, or lose patience as I have experienced at other places. 5.29.18 Update So far RRS is running fine with no issues. Post Sale Experience: The comments made above regarding the sales experience are true. During the buying process communication was great. However, after the purchase, the great communication stopped although messages and emails were sent. I finally I had to go to the dealership to get my questions answered, which did not take to long. Not good but not a show stopper because the overall experience was good.. Service Maintenance: 9/19/18 My first service and experience with the service department so far is good. No complaints.. Customer Service 10/22/18 Need better communication... I purchased RRS on May 7th and as of today I have not received my license plates. I called the dealer several times notifying them that I had not received my new plates. I even paid the registration and have received my new sticker but no plates to place them on. I was told the plates were "on order" and to give about a month for them to come in, all good. Fast forward 1 plus month and no plates, no communication or follow up. I called the contact that told me to wait and informed him they did not come in, he said he would take care of it on Wednesday when he got back (today is Monday). I asked for the resource he worked with and called myself and explained the situation. She told me exactly what happened and what was supposed to be communicated to me but was NOT and the plates were NEVER ordered. We were able to resolve the issue in less than 5 mins (not much effort). I can almost take anything but poor communication gets under my skin especially when I did all of the problem solving myself (5 minutes!). Unbelievable!.. Customer service needs some improvement! I love my Landrover, and our experience with this dealership and especially Graham Pike has been stellar! From the first test drives, they made it fun and easy in helping make our decision. We leased a LR4 and it's been a great car. We were invited to participate in one of their "car rally's" which turned out to be quite the day. Along with 6-8 other Landrover and jag owners, we went to Carmel Valley where we were treated to coffee and breakfast and then a wild ride on Carmel Valley Road to Greenfeld. We ended up at Paraiso Winery where we had lunch and wine tasting, and a tour of the vineyards! We all left with a complimentary bottle of wine! Graham was our great host and we had lots of laughs and met some fun people! Now our lease is almost up and Graham has been very helpful again in giving us our options!
