Stopped by after discussing with the wife we should inquire about purchasing a '24 Cayenne S which I saw on Google. Walked in, had to ask to see if there was any info on the SUV; lady said she was only in the Service Dept and to go around the corner to ask one of the salesperson. Walked into the showroom filled with 911's and Macans and an S...walked around twice., peered into some vehicles and even opened a few doors to a couple of cars just to see if I could maybe get someone's attention...not a chance. I then asked the receptionist if they had used Cayenne's; she shouted across the showroom to a salesman behind the desktop doing whatever, then said "second row". I then opened the door and headed down the second row, thinking someone would acknowledge me at the first car I stop to look at. Nope. After 5 minutes I left. Perhaps I should've worn one of my Brioni suits to get someone's attention? Having a McLaren 570s in my collection and having thoughts of adding a Cayenne has been abruptly put on hold. I have no issues telling my circle of friends at Cars and Coffees throughout the Bay Area about the dealership's lack of respect and attention to potential customers *And I see another yelper complained about the same issue 11 months ago; how disappointing. I had service on my Porsche 911 today. Big deal right? First oil service since purchased a year ago. Sitting in the waiting area I could actually see how the service was provided. The service tech came in about halfway through and explained was he was doing and why. He told me the oil drains very slowly because of the way the tank is manufactured-- in lay terms-- so the oil doesn't slosh around while being drained. Seemed silly to me. Oil is oil - oil for Porsche isn't different than oil for other cars. Regardless, fine service if not longer than necessary. Took videos of undercarriage. loved it. read more

I live in Park City, Utah, and when it came time to upgrading a car, I wanted the "One Car to Rule Them All". And that one car was the Porsche Macan GTS. All reviews I had read put this as the fun car, but practical for terrain like all the snow we get in Utah. Given my desire for instant gratification, I scoured the country for options of a 2025 Porsche Macan GTS on the lot and ready to go. Let's say there aren't many. And fully loaded with all the features I wanted is also a unicorn! So in came Porsche Monterey, which had a beautiful 2025 Macan GTS on the lot. I had tried building various versions of the car, and I always felt like I missed features that were important, or just darned COOL! As it turns out, my new car was a Porsche factory build showcasing the must have, and aspirational features of the car. Aaron (GM), Jun (Sales person), and Faith (finance) were truly a joy to work with, and did everything to make my purchase, delivery, and trade in of my vehicle as easy as possible. From the time I purchased the car, my car arrived two days later! I've since had zoom calls with Jun, so that he could teach me how to use the car! I thought the car was cool on delivery, but now after a tutorial, I love it even more. Absolutely unacceptable experience. I contacted Porsche Monterey the night before after seeing a Cayenne listed on their website. The next morning around 9:00am, I was told the car was available and was scheduled for an 11:00am appointment to see it. I rearranged my entire morning, skipped work, and drove over an hour each way to get there. The moment I arrived, I watched another customer being handed the keys right in front of me to test-drive the exact car I had an appointment for. When I questioned how someone with a 2:00pm appointment was allowed to see the vehicle before me--an actual scheduled appointment--I was basically told that she "showed up early," so they let her take the car anyway. So apparently at Porsche Monterey, appointments, customer time, and basic respect mean absolutely nothing. After she finished her test drive, instead of honoring my appointment, the salesperson literally waved me off at the door and announced that the other customer would be buying the car. No conversation, no apology, no professionalism--just a dismissive gesture after they wasted my time, my gas, and my entire morning. To make things even more disgusting, the price of the car had gone up $4,000 between 9am and 11am, while I was already on my way. I have never in my life experienced this level of humiliation, disrespect, and unprofessional behavior from any dealership. We reached out first, tried to put down a deposit, made the drive, had the scheduled appointment--and still were denied even the basic courtesy of a test drive. At the very least, they should have honored the order of scheduled appointments. Even if they let her drive early, we should have been given our promised chance to see and decide on the car first. Instead, they chose to reward someone who simply walked in early and completely disregard the customer who followed their process. This was one of the worst, most unprofessional, and frankly disgusting experiences I've ever had with any dealership. I will never return, and I strongly warn others to be cautious when dealing with Porsche Monterey. read more

Went to this dealership in person. Got in contact with Jun Quinto and this was by far the WORST salesman I have ever talked to in the history of car buying. His attitude was horrible, and his selling tactics were outright disrespectful. He believes that working at a Porsche dealership means that only rich people can buy them. Kept asking me if I was gonna buy a 30K car in cash because it's not that much money. When I asked how long the car was on the lot for he responded "why does that matter? 24 years, 3 months, 8 weeks? Why does it matter how long the car is on the lot for." Felt like he looked down on me and gave very slimy energy. A piece of advice if you go to this dealership is to find anybody except him. He lied to me about having to come in person to pick up my vehicle (I was planning to have a friend pick it up) saying I had to sign papers for my warranty (no papers for me to sign when I arrived) and told me that he is refusing to service my vehicle anymore. Because I was pointing out to another unhappy customer that the service was horrible and for harassing his staff (when all I did was basically pointed out how poor the service was and how they don't seem to respect my work schedule (which was again evident in asking me to come in to pick up my vehicle in person, forcing me to get out of work before I was done, never did I verbally or physically do anything other than this). Neither the new tire nor the vehicle was cleaned and the car was not fully charged upon pick up, 3 days after the car arrived to the facility. Before I drove off the service rep walked in front of me and gave me a gloating smile. I have spoken to couple other people at random (without telling them anything about my experience) and the comments were "they're jerks" and "no one stopped to do what they were doing to help me". read more

Porsche Monterey Classic hosted a wonderful event to gather fans and owners this year. They unveiled a beautifully restored 1997 993 911 in a stunning guards red with real RUF wheels. The engine restoration was flawless and dare say perfect. The steering wheel was momo design, shifting handle done in birch and Sparco seats. It looked phenomenal. Christopher Carver was my Service Advisor, very personable and professional; from start to finish made the routine oil / tire service visit easy and quick despite the fact that I arrived 30 mins early. He also offered advice, and gave me confidence that the body shop could handle buffing out/repairing huge rubber skid marks across the passenger door from a semi-truck's exploding tire. The fix was perfect. The waiting area is comfortable with excellent coffee/beverages and snack selection, and the atmosphere is very friendly. Purchaes a used Panamera and it had a issue with the glueing behind the rear view mirror and sensor. The car had the certified used porsche warranty on it and we also purchased a extended warranty. When we went back and showed them the problem with the winsdhield they said it wasn't their problem since the windshield had been replaced with a non porsche window. (our car only had 15K on it) We were never advised that the window had been replace and it wasn't on the car fax. We had no way of knowing. It was on their lot as a used certified Porsche. I purchased a new Macan that had only 97 miles. After 3 days the car had multiple messages along with the check engine light on. The car lost all power and I had to coast of the freeway. I immediately called the dealership back. Spoke with Nick in service with no help was advised that I needed a trickle battery charge. Service person said this is common. Salesperson did nothing. I actually asked for my old car back. I purchased the battery charger for $300 - which did not help. The car would start after it cooled but only to lose all power and die when driven. Porsche Monterey offered no help - no concern - they had my money. I contacted another dealership and explained what was going on. They scheduled an appt and provided me with a loaner. The San Jose dealership was incredible - I was not treated like and idiot that didn't know how to drive a car - my car had issues with the oil jet piston system. Everything is fixed. I also received a text a few days later to check in on how the car was doing. I am very disappointed with the time and service I received from Porsche Monterey. What should have been a simple oil change turned into one of the worst experiences I have ever had as a customer.  Given the incomplete oil service they provided (and my return to the dealership to attempt to resolve THEIR service issue), I NEVER expected that a service representative would treat me in such a disrespectful and dismissive manner.  Based on my experience with this dealership, it was clear to me that neither the service representative, nor the GM whom I spoke with, had any interest in keeping my business.  Prior to purchasing an automobile from this dealership, a friend of mine advised me to go elsewhere given his awful service experience with them. 12 days later and attempting to reach out to the gm and I'm still being given the run around. Very unfortunate seems as if I'll never receive any of my money back. I wouldn't trust this dealership one bit. Soon going to be August and haven't even heard one bit about the status of my refund. This is after the gm essentially made an assurance to at least get me an update. Still no word. They are quick to try and respond to bad yelp reviews but will ghost you as soon you need actual help. Faith Tell, Ojas Patel and the GM have continually told me they'd check on the progress or status of my cancellation just to give me zero information. To this day I'm not sure if the warranty cancellation has even been submitted. Only decent person here seems to be David Mccan otherwise wouldn't really go off the words the others tell you as they seem to be meaningless. read more

A Tale of Two Dealers. It's long, but worth the read! Background: I recently purchased a new car from Porsche Monterey. Since I live in LA, I made the purchase decision remotely with the help of the sales advisor (Jun Quinto) there.. (I've done this before so understand the drill).. the car was a leftover 2017 demo with 180 miles on it, so I was able to negotiate a discount. Before settling on the deal, I asked Jun for two things: 1) Complete a thorough walk-around of the car to note any defects, blemishes, etc- specifically curb rash on a rim, chips in paint, any interior flaws, and, 2) to complete a service on the vehicle that included an oil change and a brake fluid flush (since the age of the vehicle was 2+ years and this was a maintenance requirement regardless of mileage). Jun put me on facetime, and I joined him (virtually) during the walk-around inspection. He said, "it's as new", "Perfect!". (I thought- Great! It only has 180 miles, so that makes sense...) We agreed on a pick up date, and coordinated the service to be performed that day. That night I drove to Monterey with my wife (took 8 hours due to holiday traffice) to pick up the vehicle the next day. The next morning, we pick it up- and I immediately spot the obvious flaws that I asked specifically about, (Curb rash on a rim. BIG chip in the rear bumper. Scuff on the driver's bolster), plus some other minor stuff that only my eye for detail might catch. Jun simply shrugged his shoulders. Not happy at this point, but I was stuck with a choice to abandon and waste the trip, or negotiate further to get this right. Jun said he'd make it right. He left to discuss with Aaron, the GM, returning to say they'd give me $100 (!) to fix the rim, and would send me some touch up paint (!). Not happy enough, I mentioned that my local dealer was Porsche Downtown LA and I'd like to involve them. Jun lit up and mentioned that at Porsche DTLA was a sister dealership under the same ownership and they would coordinate something... On my way out, I asked for the service record for the oil change and brake fluid- they didn't have it, as Service was closed on Saturday. They would mail it. After sleeping on it, I began to feel like I was treated like I had bought a used Hyundai. Not what I was used to from a Porsche purchase experience AT ALL. I immediately took photos and sent them in a summary email to Aaron, the GM to confirm he would connect with PDTLA to help me out. Aaron was quick to confirm receipt and would connect with me to straighten things out. He said the GM at PDTLA would be contacting me. Next day, I received the service record in email from Jun- no brake fluid flush was performed. When I questioned Aaron about it, he replied in email: "Again, not sure what was discussed by Jun, but we don't go by the actual production date of a car but rather a delivery date with regards to service. That said, we reluctantly discounted a car XXk off MSRP, updated the service and agreed to take care of the leather blemish and touch up the chips of the car."That was the last I heard from Aaron. He was done with me. So, the bottom line is this: If you negotiate a deal with them, they think they can deliver a sub-par experience, and a car in sub-par condition. If you try to get what was agreed to, they make you feel like you're trying to rob them. THIS IS WHERE THINGS GET AWESOME The next evening I received a call from Victor Ghassemi, the GM at Porsche DTLA. I braced myself to be underwhelmed...I wasn't! Victor started by saying, "We're going to take care of you". Please come in and meet me, and we'll take a look and go from there". Ok, I thought, this is the Porsche experience I'm used to. I met Victor that Friday at 8:30. He greeted me cheerfully, and we had a walk-around, noting all of the issues. He called out the Service Advisor (Irwin) and Service Manager (Vickie) to join us. He quickly told them how this was going to go, pointing out each and every item, with how he would like them to remedy it. And quickly. They were engaged, pleasant and understood everything. Victor asked- "is there anything else? " and I remembered the lacking brake fluid flush (that I was willing to pay for at this point). Irwin did some quick research and sure enough found out that a brake fluid flush should be performed, and simply said "We'll take care of that for you complimentary" AMAZING!!. In parting, Victor said, "hey- if you find anything else you're not happy about, we'll take care of that too- just let me know." SO IMPRESSED!! To close this story out, I returned the car for the service and was provided a loaner for the time it took. The bumper repair ended up being quite extensive- not a simple touch up. The leather was repaired flawlessly. The rim, perfect. The car was clean, and kept in the shade, all clean for my pick up. Thank you, Porsche DTLA. You've restored my faith in the dealership experience and you have my loyalty and unending recommendation! read more
