I have a Lyriq that I got from this dealership about 19 months ago. I have had a few problems with the car and took it to this dealer for service. I have to give them credit for being absolutely the most consistent dealer I have ever dealt with...100% horrible service! For example, my gps system screen is blank white. I took it in yesterday expecting a software change but instead I was told I needed an appointment. Not a problem right? Until she told me the next available appointment is 10/31 or 3 weeks and a day away! I spoke to a nice gentleman in the sales department that said he might be able to help. He tried dealing with all the settings (as I had already done) with no change and ended by saying I sure wish I could help you but there is nothing I can do. I appreciated the fact that he was willing to try to help which has never happened for me at this dealership before. Seaside Cadillac has been negligent in resolving an ongoing issue with our purchase of a Cadillac Escalade V. This is the most expensive car on any Cadillac lot and we have had the worst customer experience. They first claimed they had both key fobs onsite at time of purchase but couldn't find one of the two that night. No problem we had a due bill to correct a small scratch on the rear bumper that we could come back for and pick up the spare key fob. Once Seaside contacted us stating that they where ready to complete the due bill scratch repair and provide us our key, we took a day off to bring the car to them and have these issues resolved. Unfortunately after hours and hours of waiting to hear from them we called and they then informed us that "the weather wasn't cooperating to fix the scratch". Ok no problem we need the car back so we will reschedule that repair. We headed down to the dealership to pick up the car and asked for the spare key. Turns out they NEVER had it AGAIN! Frustrated we left but they promised to be in touch after the Thanksgiving holiday. Rodney the salesman even promised to come pick up the car so we wouldn't be inconvenienced again. No one called, no one picked up the car, and we still have the scratch on the bumper as well as no second key fob. To add icing on the cake they incorrectly submitted the VIN number to the DMV. We received a letter in the mail from the finance company notifying us of the mistake about a month after we purchased the car. We still to this day do not have our license plate and it has been over 3 months since we made the purchase. I have given Seaside Cadillac numerous opportunities to correct these issues and have had no resolve. I am at my last straw and I want someone from Groppetti Automotive group. I want my service contract moved to a reproable service department and I want nothing to do with Seaside Cadillac. read more

Negligence and incompetence when it comes to post-selling process! These people only want to sell you a car - they don't care much what happens next. In my case, it's been now more than 90 days required by law to register a vehicle in the state of California. This car dealership failed to timely submit necessary paperwork to DMV and as a result, my temporary plates are now expired. Moreover, when I called DMV customer service, I found out that they never finalized the transfer process with DMV, meaning that they didn't even submit the paperwork until now. When I called them, they said they had misplaced the paperwork, and now it remains in the processing stack. Is this a kindergarten or a licensed car dealership? My later calls to finance manager (Misty) were never returned - a clear sign she just doesn't care! Also, I asked for a spare key for my newly purchased Cadillac and their Parts Department now wants to charge me about $500 for it. Overall experience with this car dealership caused me a lot of unnecessary stress and I currently need to seek legal advice and perhaps return the vehicle and sue the dealership for punitive damages (as the vehicle was intended for commercial use). read more

This is a clown show! Do not waste your time OR money dealing with this place. I drove all the way down from Sacramento (386 miles round trip) to look at a truck they had just posted online for sale. I made arraignments With Rodney the day before, and told him I was coming from Sacramento. When I arrive at the dealership shortly after they opened (this was on a Saturday) the place was like a ghost town. I stand around for approximately 15 minutes and then finally someone gets me to where the truck is. Now they can't find the keys. Another 10 minutes goes by and some random guy, not Rodney comes out with the keys...and the disclosure I CAN'T DRIVE IT BECAUSE THEY HADN'T PERFORMED THE SAFETY INSPECTION!!!! I just drove 193 miles to look at and buy a truck and now I'm told I can't drive it! Rodney knew I was coming from Sacramento, why didn't he tell me it wasn't ready to drive? Why did they list it on the internet if the vehicle wasn't ready to be driven home by someone? So I say fine, you drive it and the employee takes me for a spin around the automall. Its fine, I wan't it so I do paperwork and purchase the truck. I ask them if they can have the truck ready by Wednesday or Thursday, and I'll be back to get it. More than a week goes by, Rodney calls and tells me the technicians can't figure out a CHECK ENGINE LIGHT and they took it to a Ford Dealership. There is a Ford Dealership in the same automall, and one in Salinas, not far from Seaside, yet they take the Truck to Fremont Ford, an 82 mile drive because Seaside Cadillac and Fremont Ford are owned by the same corporation. I get a call from "Ace" - thats your professional name? Anyway, I get a call from Ace and he tells me the truck needs a new turbo and the cost is $2,998!!! WHAT A JOKE! This is NOT the first truck I have owned of this year, make and model. I know a stock replacement turbo assembly costs around $700 RETAIL, and its about 3 hours of labor to R&R the assembly. So they want to charge me 3,000 dollars for a 1200-1300 repair...PLUS THEY OWN THE DEALERSHIP so they are paying wholesale for the parts. I decline to pay for the repairs, and we void the purchase agreement. Two weeks later I get a call from Rodney, saying the truck is done, and would I be willing to split the cost of the repairs...NOPE! I sure wouldn't I HAVE MOVED ON! I will NEVER buy a vehicle from this dealership, the way I was treated, driving all they way from Sacramento and not being able to drive the truck, them selling a truck which had not been through the safety inspection, over charging for repairs they should have covered. I recently viewed the truck online, and they are asking over 5K more than I paid for it...My only consolation is the fact the truck now has a massive dent in the passenger bed side, and when I looked at it the truck was flawless. While I was in the store a very irate customer came in and was very upset he had been calling your dealership for three days leaving messages and had not received a call back. I have been in twice this month received excellent service and the car was returned washed and clean inside and out. PICK ANOTHER DEALERSHIP! Avoid this place at all costs! As another reviewer said "Negligence and incompetence when it comes to post-selling process! The F&I guy told multiple bold face lies about my vehicle and the coverage of my policy during the purchasing process. My fault for not reading the paperwork more closely, but I had assumed that when asking the guy specific questions that he wouldn't tell me straight up lies. The vehicle I purchased came with damaged floor mats (whoever unboxed them sliced the side piping to bits). After 9 months, probably 30+ phone calls and talking to 5 different people they finally agreed to send me replacements. Unfortunately they sent the wrong ones that are for another vehicle and don't fit . I've followed up with the store manager multiple times since, but it's been a year now and I'm tired of banging my head against a wall. Once they snake your money out of you they could give two sh*ts. If I could spend $500 to take away whatever commissions Seaside Cadillac made off my purchase and give it to some random other dealership, I think I would. These people seriously suck. read more

Upon writing that review, I started to receive numerous calls to apologize for my experience. Today, I had the opportunity to meet with Mr. Dhami who is part of the ownership group. He drove from Milpitas to meet with me. In short, I was given the opportunity to vent my frustration. Mr. Dhami respectfully listened and offered his apologies. Thank you for that! Mr. Dhami assured me measures would be put in place so this this type of experience would not happen to anyone else. He explained he will have a course of action where ownership and management would have their phone numbers conspicuously posted throughout their dealerships so that disgruntled customers could contact them directly.
