Matt is the MAN! Ceramic coat on my brand-new Tesla Model 3 looks crazy-tight. Really pleased with his attention to detail and his overall passion for getting it right. Wouldn't roll my wheels anywhere else. And, his shop is super cool, too. A++!!! read more

I have been remiss- in not writing my reviews of Pacific Auto earlier. When I moved to Monterey Peninsula nearly four years ago I was able to find an independent service shop ( C&C) for my Porsche --they recommended Matt at PAD with the observation that his appointment waiting time was long-- and for good reason: he's a magician and worth the wait. Over the years and 3 services on 3 different cars I can say unequivocally, he's one of the best on the Peninsula if not The Best. Fairly priced, fanatic attention to detail Matt is going to make sure car look showroom new. I've had him do ceramic coating on my 911, Cayenne etc to keep my beauties always looking great. I've even had him to "emergency" looks at little parking lot scratches --and amazing buffing to take out the offending lines in my paint. I could go on- and on--but gee, when one uses words like "Best" it's pretty clear, right? You want the best, see Ma read more

Matt made the paint on my 1991 Porsche pop! The old guards red paint was looking old. It now stands out from the crowd. I've had people ask if it was repainted. I have since taken two more cars for him to do his magic. read more

I was very hesitant on writing this review but I thought it was important to share my experience. When I called to set up a date for interior detailing, Matt was very professional and polite. I explained my needs and expectations and also emphasized that my main concern was to have the stains in my car removed. I stressed that there wasn't a need for a car wash (even though it definitely could've used one) because I really wanted the focus to be on really getting the inside of my car clean. Without being able to see the extent of what needed to be done, the cost was estimated at $200. That was completely fine. I took my car in and came back 5 hours later to see a job seemingly well done. I was charged $165 and gave a 20% tip because at a quick glance, I was happy and Matt really maintained his professionalism. When I got home, I made a more thorough check and discovered that the backseat console wasn't even touched. I pulled it down to see it in the same exact horrible condition it was originally in. Of course, I called Matt back and he agreed for me to return in order to remedy the situation. The next morning, he was very apologetic and insisted on giving me a free stain remover and some rags. It was an embarrassing situation and everything made me feel very awkward and slightly uncomfortable. I do wish I would've asked about pricing and the services included beforehand (such a basic thing) because I do not feel like the service I received was fair for that amount of money I paid. It could've been a simple mistake but I could also see that my car was quickly spot cleaned which gave me the impression that it wasn't an honest service and for me, that was truly disappointing. There are plenty of other places in this area that do more for this price. read more

I had a 18 yr old red car and a 9 yr old silver car detailed and both looked better than new The only problem was the long wait time to get on his schedule---I now know why Thanks Matt read more

Had a fantastic experience taking my Jeep Grand Cherokee to Matt and his team. I had a moldy smell that had been progressively getting worse from a combination of children with their snacks and the cloudiness of the winter not allowing UV light to kill the smell. I brought it to Matt and he worked with me to alleviate the smell and did an interior detail. He was more than fair on price and even gave it a exterior wash before he was done. Highly recommend if you want to extend the life of your car interior and are looking for a quality detailer and person to trust with your car. read more

These guys did an incredible job. Two dogs and a wiggly toddler did a number on my Subaru. After Ramon and his team were finished, my car was good as new! I had a stubborn stain on the driver's seat that didn't come out the first time. Ramon let me bring my car back in free of charge and he kept working on it until it finally came out. Thanks Ramon and Pacific Auto Detail! I'll be back. read more

Matt took care of me twice, actually. I needed the headlights on my Aston Martin Vantage refinished. He did a great job but before I could get them clear bra'd I drove through a sand storm. I took them right back to him and he corrected them again. I will definitely take my car back to him for any kind of detailing work. read more

Matt was fantastic and I couldn't have asked for a better interior detail. My Honda CRV looks brand new. Matt and staff were friendly and professional. I will definitely come back. read more

I have a 2008 Jaguar XKR Portfolio and the paint is only available on special order. Matt took this car and made magic happen. Without a doubt the best detailer for automobiles, especially rare ones, in Monterey County. Book him early - everyone wants him, especially during the Concourse. read more

AMAZING TRANSFORMATION! Matt was referred to me by a local auto painting company. I recently bought a 28 year old Mercedes with the original black paint. I knew the car did not need to be repainted but it needed someone with knowledge and skill to coax back out the original luster and depth of the original paint. I was a bit nervous putting the car into the hands of someone that I had no experience with. The car already had swirl marks in it and in the wrong hands, the paint finish could have been ruined. In addition, there was years of caked-on brake dust caked inside the rims. Matt took a Dremel to the inside of each rim, carefully removing all of the crud. Wow. I could not believe it when I saw my completed car...truly amazing. I could see that Matt takes pride in his work. He is careful and cautious with just the right combination of technique, products and knowledge to bring out the very best in ay auto. Matt has passion for his craft and he leaves a bit of that "sparkle" on each car he works on. He even taught me how to care for my car and assembled a "wash and care kit" so that I did not have future damage. I will bring all my cars here and recommend Matt for anyone who has a car they want to keep in its optimal condition. read more

Matt Balesteri did an AMAZING job on my BMW. Dings fixed, scratches gone- he even fixed a mark on my leather seat caused by red nail polish. You can't tell there was ever a mark there! The engine compartment is so clean you could eat dinner off of it. I've used a number of local detailing services and they're good, but Pacific Auto Detail is in a league of its own. Plus they are reasonably priced, prompt and good people. Matt really cares about making your car the best it can be. read more

Matt did a great job and was flexible with scheduling. After just one detail appointment my car looks brand new!!

Matt and his team did an outstanding job on my brand new Lexus IS300! I wanted a ceramic coating and after contacting several professional detailers in the area I decided to go with Matt. And I am so glad I did! His knowledge alone made me comfortable throughout the whole process. I also love the fact the he educate his costumers post detailing. That shows that he truly cares and I value that a lot. You know when you find a good and trusted plumber, yeah that is like Matt. Your trusted car detailer, and you don't go looking for anyone else. Thanks again to Matt and his team! read more

This is the place to go to have your car detailed! I highly recommend Matt and the team at Pacific Auto Detail. Decided to buy my husband a detailing for a Valentine's Day gift and didn't know where to go. Found Matt through our mechanic. Although it took us a few weeks to get scheduled (our side, not his), the results are spectacular. The car looks like it's brand new (2015 Mercedes). My husband is happy. I'm happy. A win-win for everyone concerned. Thanks, again, Matt. We'll be back. read more

Great experience all around. Called Matt and we set up an appointment-super easy. Matt listened to my car story and then explained to me what his business could do to clean it out. The car looks great and smells even better. Highly recommend. And the price was right! read more

We concur with the previous 5 star reviews. Pacific Auto Detail did a beautiful job on our Audi that had some finish problems which the dealership couldn't handle. Matt was recommended by one of the best auto body shops in the area. He is friendly, attentive and honest and does high quality work with standards that make a perfectionist happy. read more

I just recently had my Tanzanite Blue M4 Comp ceramic coated because it is a very finicky color. It's like black with even more visibility with imperfections. Gorgeous color, but what a PAIN! The dealership did a paint correction and within a few weeks or so and a couple of washes, bam, back to spider webs and swirls. Matt and his crew at Pacific Auto Detail made the car look show room ready in no time. It took about a day and a half and boom, the car was ready for the show room. He gave me some really high quality products to care for the car and now, even as a novice I can make the car look pristine in a few minutes. I highly recommend the guys at Pac Auto Detail, they are trustworthy, they do a great job and they care for your car is if it were your own. Matt and his crew are always giving you advice to care for the work they do as well, because they care about you and your car. I only write reviews when it matters, the previous rating speak for themselves. read more
