Decent selection all around of auto parts. This place is huge and they could have more active cashiers and a bathroom.

Central Coast P&S - Detailing product used to remove "hologram" from clear coat

This would be a 10 Star Review if 10 stars were available…read more Please understand I am a DIY guy. I had a mishap to the paint on my car when a thin cover sheet of plastic (used by professional painters) intended to protect my automobile from painters over spray, left what can only be describe as "a shadow hologram " on my paint. I was visiting a friend's home at the time of this mishap. It was raining the day my automobile was covered and when the sun came out the next day, the combination of sun, moisture and plastic covering, left behind these markings where the wet plastic baked in the sun. The painters themselves never had seen such a thing. Nothing I tried would remove this "hologram" including car wax, auto car wash soap, a clay product a neighbor tried and even solvents like WD 40 and 3M adhesive remover, as advertised on Youtube. I found the answer, thanks to Fernando who was instrumental in picking the correct product and explained in detail how to best use it. IT WORKED!! I was able to remove the "hologram" that the plastic left stuck to my clear coat without damaging my paint job. I cannot thank Fernando enough for his expertise. I will use this shop for all my detailing questions and purchasing products future forward.

I went here for a full transmission service and coolant flush. They scheduled me the next week and…read moreI dropped it off in the morning and picked it up in the evening. They alerted me to things I should do very soon, ie. an oil change and tire nail fix. Luckily I knew about those things and already had an appointment at a tire store the next day, but it's nice to know they do a general quick inspection to make sure things are good. When I got back for the pickup the mechanic was test driving the vehicle, also a sign of a good mechanic shop. The bill was exactly what I was quoted and I was happy with the price. I feel like it was a good value for getting done what I could not do myself. I think some of us, like myself, have a mechanic friend, but I chose to go here because I wanted it done right and I trust they do it right. The car i took in for service was a family van and we need it to work right and to be reliable. I don't know if everyone feels like I do that these days you always have to fight to get things done right or be prepared for something wrong or to cost extra or whatever but this was simple. Tell them what I need done, drop it off, pay for it and pick it up. I was pleasantly surprised there were no hickups.

My fault for not getting a quote... the owner gave me $50.00 back and said sorry for the misunderstanding.. LOL... they can't seem to be able to compete with a dealer, oil prices are up... blah blah blah.
