RUN AWAY FROM THIS OLACE DONT WALK! Drove my car in because the fuel filter bracket was broken the fuel filter was dragging on the floor I told them what the problem was when I came in that's what it turned out to be. Upon picking up my car four days later for something that should've probably taken one day I go to pay the bill and my initial $120 that they charge to see if any thing is wrong with the car is not applied to the cost of the repair. Now I've been to many mechanics in my life and the cost of the initial diagnosis is usually applied to the final cost of the bill in this case that didn't happen. While talking to the technician he informed me that they had accidentally broken to fuel filters while trying to secure the new one in place I asked was I being charged for this and he said no let's $661 later I believe I got charged. read more

Where do I start, took car in for service and went all bad from there. Came to pick car up keep saying it was not ready, car end up being in there for five months because the owner was driving it around, and acting like needs more parts. Car got broken into, found drug needles, weed, panties that was in there. The personal look like there on drugs and even when the cop came out he knew the guy at the front and said he has a past criminal history. They changed the invoices to make it look like we owed more than what it really was. It goes on and on. I wish I was exaggerating but I'm not. Sabino, Alex and the crew here are amazing. We were briefly adrift after our last mechanic retired (the people who bought the business were not as good) but are so happy to have found Green Machine. We have gotten lots of work done here (brakes, belts, oil changes, A/C repaired), and taken two cars in for pre-purchase inspections. All the work has been flawless. In both pre-purchase inspections Sabino gave us great advice regarding any repairs we'd need to make and how much we should realistically pay for the car. I would not buy a private party car without taking it to them and my whole family uses them for all our repairs and maintenance on our older cars. Oil changes here are less expensive than Jiffy Lube and without the pressure to change your air filter. Cannot emphasize enough how great this business is! I took my 1987 Pontiac Firebird to the Green Machine to have my motor replaced and I had a three year warranty. Before my three year warranty was up I was starting to have car problems. I took my car to the Green Machine 3 different times to have Sabino look at my car. I told him the car was acting funny and that the car was not picking up speed like it should and when I put car into reverse the car sounded like it wanted to die, and I also told Sabino my check engine light was on. Sabino told me he would look at car. When I went to pick up car he told me there was nothing wrong and that my car is an old car. I told Sabino but my car should pick up speed and that shity Hondas are faster than my car. Sabino laughed and said, "What, you want to go fast?" I told him the car isn't running right and I think it is the motor, but sabino kept telling me my car was fine and the motor is fine. I asked him about my check engine light and he told me it might be on because a senor might be reading wrong causing the check engine light to be on. Anyways, long story short I became tired of Sabinos bullshit and I took my car to Natalie's Automotive in Monterey on Del Monte Ave and the owner Joe told me it was my motor and I only had 5 cylinders firing. Joe told me I need to take the car back to the Green Machine because they need to fix it. I went to the Green Machine and told them and they said they were not going to fix my car because the warranty was made by the previous owner. I told the man at the counter, "The man who wrote me the warranty is Sabino and he is still working here." The Green Machine did't care. My warranty was not going to be honored and I wasted $1,500 on a motor that is garbage. Thank you Sabino for taking advantage of me and ripping me off. The car belonged to my mom and it means a lot to me and you knew that Sabino but you still have the nerve to not stand by YOUR warranty. What I received from Green Machine was courteous professional service. These guys take honesty to the next level though... I had just purchased a 92 Camry that wasn't able to pass smog. Savino, Marlene, Alex and Ale, were doing a favor for their cousin whom I purchased the car from. The favor was fix what it needs to smog. We thought it was just the EGR valve, maybe the ECM. It was much more than that. By the time they fixed one thing another went bad and on it went for a bit. They found that the new ECM the seller and I just purchased was defective, sent it out, got it back in, fixed the valve cover gaskets, made it to were I can open the doors without having to bust a Dukes of Hazard" move. They replaced my EGR valve, my thermostat, and so much I can't remember. One thing these guys knew was that I lived on a strict budget so the day my car was finished I took the bus and paid them only 60 dollars of the very very modest amount I owed. The next day, I was checking my accounts online and making sure I paid all my bills. I notice a credit from Green Machine for that very 60.00 dollar payment I made them. Really?! You guys took my little clunker and made it drive like a brand new car, and you give me my money back? Another business would have been charging me storage fees. Thank you so very much! My family appreciates your help. You didn't treat me like a customer, you treated me like family. I will recommend you to everyone I know and tell them that you aren't in the business for that all mighty dollar. Just picked up my 2005 Prius that needed new headlight ballasts and bulbs. From my reading this is a common problem for this vehicle. Sabino and his crew knew exactly what was going on when I explained my problem and suggested we try the lower coast option of trying to change just the bulbs. I really appreciated that they did not jump on the expensive option right out of the gate, but I had been reading about the issue and had observed the obvious signs of a dying ballast. I need my car and I knew that even though they were going to try to get me by with the new headlight bulbs, that the real problem if not today but tomorrow would result in me needing new ballasts. They installed new ballasts and new bulbs in a very efficient fashion and were even nice enough to deglaze my headlight lenses, at no additional charge,so they look like brand new. When I drove my car tonight I could see the road clearly like I had not seen it in a long long time. A great job, a happy customer, and now I want you all to know of the solution to the problems with your car. Happy customer I am. read more

I had been a happy client for over 5 years and even through the change of ownership which has proven to be the worst thing ever for this once wonderful repair place. They do NOT stand by their work and in fact broke a safety part on my car and ripped the interior and pathetically enough have given me the run around about fixing it for almost 9 months and now won't fix it! To add insult to injury the last repair they did took them months to complete and they kept giving me a variety of excuses for the delays and errors, while I had to pay hundreds literally close to $1k in additional needless transportation costs because of their incompetence! This is atrocious and the worst experience I have ever had. Please save yourself the headache and money since frankly they can't even accurately repair basic things anymore since they let the original staff go.
