Ck14. Mango Chicken

My husband and I stopped by here for dinner; he had the pineapple chicken and I had the mango chicken, both were delicious, were of generous portions and priced decently. We've never had a meal here that been less than delicious. Service was prompt and polite, and the place was clean and well kept. We both recommend this place as a good Chinese restaurant.

It looks like popcorn chicken pieces I think popcorn chicken has bigger pieces......no spice whatsoever!!

This has been our go to place for some time now.....we even loved dining in as well, but I'm not sure whats going.....very inconsistent with the general tso being spicy one week abd not the next the pieces were like popcorn chicken very chewy and tasted old wanton soup zeeo flavor unable to eat. The quality in general is not what it used to be.....the pork buns are delicious. SADLY I'm going to have to start looking for another place :-(

Food and soup was very good, but my broccoli is very cold. The service was good and is very clean.

Boneless spareribs ( pork rinds)

We ordered 60 dollars worth of appetizers. We ordered take out. Boy was that a mistake. When I got home half was not edible. Egg roll was saturated with grease I took a bite and grease poured out. The beef on a stick was beef jerky or poop on a stick it was so over cooked it crunched in my mouth, the shrimp toast was burnt that the shrimp inside was crispy.,'boneless spareribs where pork Rinds. Dumplings where cold fried chicken was over cooked. I use to like this place I don't know if they changed owners. They should of made the meal over again they knew it was burnt but sold it to us anyway. I ended up eating crab Rangoon adumplings which was just ok. I rather go McDonald's and I don't eat McDonald's.. they should of cooked the meal over that's what upsets me they knew Everything was overcooked and not edible. I guess money is more important than there reputation.

The ambiance is very modern and colorful, with brightly colored walls and murals and really nice family photos and thai decorations up making it authentically thai-american. My favorite dishes here are the guay chai appetizers-- which are fried, deeply savory and chewy-- and their pad see ew which has a umami, wok hei flavor and a silky texture on the rice noodles. My only note is that sometimes the rice noodles come pretty broken up in pieces from the stir fry. Their red curry and pad Thai are also great, very flavorful with a fair portion. I appreciate how now they give you a spice rack to self-customize your spice level instead of relying on the kitchen. I only recently realized how GOOD their drinks are too. By far the best matcha lattes in Putnam county, as a matcha lover I like how you can really taste the matcha rather than just the milk. Their cocktails during golden hour are also amazing, and extremely creative. They also host events like trivia nights and open mics that I would love to attend one day. Thai golden has really set themselves up to be a wonderful hangout spot, and a nice third space to be a part of the community in. Great food, drinks, and vibes all around.

My wife and I have dined at this restaurant several times in the past 19 years. More recently, we…read morehave done more takeout and have not visited the restaurant for a sit down meal in quite a while. I am pleased to report that on a recent Saturday night we had a sublime dining experience. The staff couldn't have been more gracious as they had the luxury of only a half filled dining room. We wanted to take our time and ordered an excellent bottle of wine, a Hugel Pinot Blanc from Alsace, one of the wines by the glass. It's always a winner and was priced at the astonishingly low price of $34/bottle. I've paid as much as $65/btl for this same wine in Manhattan. Our server gave us time to savor a glass of wine before we placed an order for appetizers. Summer Rolls were like having a salad rolled up in an impossibly thin rice wrapper. When dipped in the savory peanut sauce, they became a thoroughly satisfying vegetarian bite. We also ordered the fried dumplings, which put the usual, pasty Chinese restaurant staple to shame. These were light and crisp with a well seasoned, generous pork and chicken filling. Our main courses were, once again, amazing. The Pad Siew was richly satisfying with tender, succulent chunks of pork and wide rice noodles in a savory sauce. The roasted duck in red curry was a marvel of crispy skin and moist meat - half a crispy roasted duck in a Thai red curry sauce with onions, bamboo shoots, bell peppers, pineapple and Thai basil. Normally, I am not a fan of fruit in my main course, but here it perfectly complemented the spicy curry and the rich duck. The longevity of this restaurant (it was here when we moved to Beacon 19 years ago) is clearly a function of the professional and friendly staff and a kitchen that continues to turn out precisely prepared Thai cuisine. Looking back, I have to say that Sukhothai has gotten better over the years - not something that happens very often.

We were there at lunchtime on a Monday, which is typically a slower day for restaurants, but we were only one of two tables yet there was no real enthusiasm by the wait staff, two women with seemingly no mission. My daughter and I pressed on, however, having a craving for Thai cuisine. I had been here many years ago and found the food to be good but the service to be subpar. I've traveled throughout Asia extensively over the years so I find this complacency at this particular restaurant and anomaly. The food, however, was excellent. We ordered the duck with in a curry sauce, explaining my allergies to alliums. The meal was well presented, well seasoned, and allium free. So they earned back a star for that. My daughter ordered glass noodles with chicken and vegetables, which also was presented very well and extremely tasty. She was very pleased. We stuck with water, but I would've enjoyed being offered a pot of tea, even at a price. We were there for about an hour and saw two or three takeout orders, and one other table will be seated. Very slow indeed. There was a lot of downtime for the weight staff, but they didn't seem to feel it important to check in on us. That's a shame. So here's where we stand: five stars for the food and the value. Three stars for the atmosphere. And unfortunate two stars for Service. My rating is a generous three stars because the food saved the day.

As an alumni returning for a weekend visit, I was initially disheartened to discover that my beloved local Thai house, Lemongrass, had closed its doors. However, fate had a delicious surprise in store for me and my friends as we stumbled upon Bangkok Cafe, only to realize it was under the same management as Lemongrass! From the moment we stepped inside, we were enveloped in the comforting aroma of authentic Thai spices and the welcoming ambiance of familiar faces. Each dish we ordered transported me back to my school days, with every bite reminiscent of the culinary magic I had come to cherish at Lemongrass. While every dish we sampled was incredible, the Pad See Ew stole the show! I love Thai food and have been to many amazing restaurants but this pad see ew will always be #1. The noodles are perfect in every aspect - size, shape, and texture. What truly sets Bangkok Cafe apart is not just the outstanding food, but also the affordability without compromising on quality. In a world where good food often comes with a hefty price tag, Bangkok Cafe remains a beacon of accessible excellence. The service is also always top notch. Everyone is so friendly and the food comes out quick! Needless to say, Bangkok Cafe has effortlessly claimed the title of my favorite Thai restaurant, a position it will undoubtedly hold for many years to come.

Everything was packed perfectly and nothing was missing. They even provided a cardboard cup holder for the drinks. At the counter, you can take your own cutlery, napkins, candy, and chopsticks. Everyone enjoyed the food. Mine was shrimp panang curry and I also tasted some mango sticky rice, thai iced tea, chicken satay and duck drunken noodles. They do have a smaller lunch portion, but I opted for the regular size which was enough for 2 meals. The panang curry hit the spot and had just the right spice level for me. The mango was perfectly ripe, thai iced tea perfectly sweet, chicken satay was tender and came with 2 sauces. The duck drunken noodles were cooked perfectly and there was a good duck to noodle ratio, but not really spicy. I did notice the restaurant was a bit cold inside, but I got takeout so did not stay to eat. Would love a way to pre-order pickup online - the websites available would only allow delivery ordering.
