This place is awesome. 'Nuff said. You want to hear more? OK, OK. I've been here now on several occasions, mostly in the lounge, but last night, I got to sit in the dining room. I was very excited. They do here what you'd expect. They make the gasoline-like Polynesian cocktails that you crave after a long day or week at work. The service is a bit surly, but endearing and the staff truly works hard. The food is, well, exactly what you crave after a long day or week at work. I love the murals on the wall, and it's always clean. I'll be back....again, and again, and again. read more

Ok so, this is their first night reopening so we cut them slack. In the waiting area it was me and my husband and two other groups of two. We waited 25min (no big deal they were busy) three guys walk in and the lady tells them there is a wait, they say we know someone in there we are going in we came here all the time we aren't waiting! Walk in no problem. My husband and I get seated, 5 min no one come over. Those 3 men are jumping from table to table apparently everyone knows everyone there then take a table as a couple leaves even though people are waiting. 10min go by the other couple waiting gets a table, they order 2 minutes after sitting (they also know everyone) at this point my husband went and told them its been 10min now and no service, they told him to sit down they can't do anything about it. It's now been 20 minutes EVERYONE has drinks and food around us. So at this point we walk out and leave. On the way out the lady in the front asked what happened my husband told her she apologized and said she would give us a giftcard I said no my husband said yea.. a 5$ gift card.. I would never go back especially for 5$ I'm not sure if it was because my husband is black or because we aren't from Billerica. First nights are busy, but not with everyone else around you being served but you read more

So the old saying goes "nothing lasts forever." Recently sold and the first thing the new owners do is raise the prices on every item on menu about $1 to $3..more an item. That adds up quick ! Our standard take out order is $15.00 more. Even the lunches went way up. Our first order last month lacked flavor and tonite although food was slightly better they made an error on a minor change we made. Attached to the bag is a Limited Special NY Eve menu with a further bump up in prices. The Jade once known as a mainstay in Chinese food is no longer the case. read more

I just got back from lunch at Jade Pacific. I may have to go again to have the experience most of the others have had. The service was friendly and knowledgeable. The lunch specials are a true bargain. They are enough for two meals. I will say the food is very fresh except for the hot and sour soup which sucked as it was bitter and lacked in flavor. The kung pao chicken and pork fried rice was really fresh - crisp and bright onions, celery etc. The lichee duck had a lot of potential but came out a bit flat. Again it lacked flavor and was a bit dry in areas but i spruced it up with some soy sauce and chili oil. I might go back there but that would be for the old-school Polynesian drinks and the after-work crowd. read more

I was very pleased with the service the waiter provided. The drinks are strong, portions are big, food is tasty, and the atmosphere is unique. My boyfriend and I have decided to switch what Chinese food restaurant we go to and this is the place. I recommend the maitai, and dinner E. The pad Thai needs more sauce and more spice but I like the smoky flavor. The pad Thai is not the best. read more

Horrible service horrible food. The only thing cool about this joint is the older bartender, he is the only glue holding this place together. The guy with the glasses sux ! Cant even make a drink and is rude and cheap! read more

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant, I only wish it wasn't all the way in Billerica. Though sometime I am thankful it isn't closer to me because then I would have to keep buying bigger pants! My boyfriend doesn't think twice about driving here for the eggrolls alone, that's how good they are. The lunch specials range from $4.50 to $6.50 and are so huge that you will never be able to finish them. I stick with #47: chicken fingers, beef teriyaki and pork lo mein. I have also had dinner here and the portion are as just as big...great pu pu platter and an order of crab rangoon consists of about 16 for like $4! Even better is the scorpion bowl for two that is $10.50, it is really big and you will only need one before you start to feel it. It is definitely strong, but still tastes great! The decor of this place is old fashioned with red vinyl booths and paper placemats. The back-lit waterfall motif covers an entire wall making a tropical splash. There is also a lounge area where the bar is located that is separate from the main dining room. I love it here so much that I suggested it for a Valentine's lunch and my boyfriend's eyes lit up. Why spend $150 on a rushed V-day dinner when you can hang out in Billerica and eat awesome Americanized Chinese food?!?! Apparently others had the same idea because it was crowded when we showed up at 2:30 in the afternoon. There was even a 50th birthday party going on. I can't wait to go back! read more

A full meal plus extras for late night hunger plus yummy mixed drinks for less than fifty bucks! Yup. That would be the Jade. Came here on a mission for something spicy and different. In our quest we drove by here and after short debate had to try it. The decor is very classic 1970s ish Chinese Restaurant which is by no means a bad thing. The staff were super friendly and the food complimented just right. With a massive PuPu Platter, an order of Fried Rice, a Planter's Punch(which at only $5 was a steal and tasty and full of alcohol!) and this massive plate of hot/spicy scallops covered in the chef's sauce. It was amazing. I will be back just to sample other concoctions on the drink and food menu. Not a place to miss if you are in the Billerica/RT 3A area! read more

My Choice for American Chinese food. If you're looking to get your fried food on, then this is one of the better Chinese Restaurants in Billerica. I've come for lunch a few times but mostly end up here for dinner when we can't decide on some place else to go. It's a good stand in and if you go with the lunch/dinner specials you get a lot of food for short money. My favorite dinner special is the "A"; 5 chicken fingers, 3 chicken wings, 2 beef teriyaki sticks and pork fried rice. It's a heaping plate of food and I need to be really hungry to finish. That plate runs just under 10 bucks and fills the void. Service is fine, nothing remarkable and nothing bad to write about. It's all business, take the order, bring the food, bring the bill, adios. read more

Haven't ordered here since the new owners and of course the pandemic took over ,, I ordered the moo shi chicken yesterday and was too lazy to pick it up so had it delivered , I wouldn't have minded the overpriced take out if it wasn't for the fact that is was less than mediocre , It was bland and overcooked I ordered extra pancakes but didn't need them as the portion was medium at best... very disappointed read more

The outside of their menu promises that they will "add the utmost enjoyment to your meal". I would have enjoyed a beer with my meal, but the server accused me of already drinking and refused to serve me. Meanwhile, the table next to me was clearly being over served and could barley walk. read more

Hands down the best / strongest Mai Tai you'll ever have. There is a balance to that if you can believe it. I'm also fairly sure they are the reason I stopped drinking! The food is decent. The decor is 70's. The people who go here are all drunk townies, but that is honestly the appeal. Oh that and they're the only place open in Billerica past 10 PM. read more

I'm from Quincy and I often go into Chinatown. I know my Chinese food. The food at Jade Pacific is really mediocre. Extremely greasy and Americanized. The only reason I give it an extra star is because the drinks are strong. I think you get your money's worth! Also, the descriptions of the drinks are amusing as heck. They are (purposefully?) vague. Definitely give 'em a read. Now, watch how many drinks you order, because you might get the munchies and wind up eating some of that bad Chinese food. read more

Ah, the Jade. The only restaurant I know where they take my drink order before I've even made it to my seat. On a Friday afternoon there's no better place to be. Let me preface by saying this is not a fancy place by any means, so if you're looking for an elegant Asian dining experience, look elsewhere. But, if you're looking for a relaxed, somewhat boisterous atmosphere with strong drinks, good food, and an efficient waitstaff, this is your place. This place has the standard Polynesian cocktail menu that you see at just about any Chinese restaurant. The mai tai, of course, is the ol' standby and they pack quite a punch here. A couple of these and you're good to go. Well, actually, you shouldn't be going anywhere after a couple of these because you're probably well over the legal BAC so I take that back. Sit your butt down and order some food, damn it! Might I suggest the gai poo lo mein? Delicious (although somewhat greasy) lo mein tossed with pretty much anything you can think of, surrounded in a heavenly corona of chicken fingers. Two dishes in one! The ginger chicken is also quite good. The after work crowd strolls in pretty early here. The lounge area was in full swing before 5:00 last night. The lounge has booths around the wall, as well as bar seating, but I prefer to sit at the small tables with oversized orange vinyl chairs. We always come in a fairly large group and the waitstaff is always willing to rearrange furniture to accomodate us. One particular waitress (the same one who takes my drink order before I find a seat) has learned some of our faces and knows to ask "How many?" upon our arrival and immediately begins pushing tables and chairs together. Things can get a little crazy in the lounge, but the waitstaff handles everything (and everyone, including obnoxious drunks of which there was one in our party last night) courteously and efficiently. My only suggestion for this place would be to add a karaoke night. Billerica is lacking in this form of entertainment and this would be the perfect venue. read more

This was the worst food I've ever had at the Jade! Horrible, tasteless! I used to say how they had the best crab rangoon ever, today I literally spit it out. , pork lo mein and fried rice had no flavor. Chic teriyaki was ok. Why do people buy thriving restaurants, then change eveything? I dont get it! We will not be back anytime soon. Horribly disappointed. This was my go to place. I bragged about how good their food was. Now, I wouldn't recommend at all. Come on Jade, you can do way better than that! You Should try cleaning the place up too, I never minded before because the food was so good, but now you're going to need to have a reason to get people in the door! read more

DUDE. Let me just start off by saying I absolutely hate Chinese/Polynesian food. But this place was incredible! We got the poo poo platter (100% sure it's spelled "pu pu") consisting of teriyaki, ribs, fried chicken, chicken wings, and some more stuff. The teriyaki was incredible, and the rest of the stuff were much better than the food you get at your neighborhood take out Chinese restaurants. What I really love about the Jade Lounge are the drink specialties. I got a Suffering Bastard, and it was incredible. Very strong drink... had me buzzed after one! They also serve some mean scorpion bowls. The atmosphere is great. Very spacious and a great place to take a date to. It's not overly Asian, but enough to set the tone that you are definitely setting foot in a Chinese restaurant. The atmosphere is very fun, relaxed, and casual. Even the waiters here were very friendly and joking around with our table- something one does not normally witness in any Asian restaurant. It's late so I can't write a decent review worth my life, but take it from me: go here ASAP, even if you hate Chinese food. read more

After reading some promising reviews of this place, my family and I decided to stop here while on our way to a wedding. What a gem! Having a lifetime of prior knowledge with authentic Chinese food, I'm happy to say that this restaurant did not disappoint! I had the Singaporean Mai Foon which I couldn't stop eating even though I really wanted to. Their crab ragoon also tasted good and luckily was not as greasy/oily as many other restaurants in the city (also would make a good appetizer after a drink!) I also got to try two drinks which were strong in a good way and worth it for the price! If I am ever in the area again, I will definitely be back! read more

I dined at Jade Pacific because I have seen some very good reviews about it on Yelp. After a few tries and I can see why people were excited about this place. One thing I confirm is that the amount of food they gave you is amazing. $4-$5 and you get yourself a giant lunch and you probably won't need anything else for the rest of the day. In 2009, that price is hard to beat. Quality-wise, I think it is less than perfect. The dishes I've tried were all typical Chinese dishes which I usually used to judge the quality of any Chinese restaurant. In this regard, Jade is not the best I have tried. The fried rice, the spicy beef, and the chicken fingers, etc. Note that it is not that they are not tasty. They are and they come in large quantities. It is just they are not the "genuine" Chinese style, but some "Americanized" Chinese dishes, of which basically every dish was cooked with soy source and cauliflower. So all the dishes taste pretty much the same. Overall, this place is great if you are looking for a budget dinning place or somewhere to satisfy your fried rice cravings. If you are looking for genuine Chinese food adventure, I'd say there are other places in the area that do better in that regard. I don't mind going back Jade again, as people there are friendly and they make you feel comfortable. And maybe, just maybe they have a few dishes that are done right but I haven't tried. read more

I just spent $70 for 3 items and they all were terrible! This place use to be FANTASTIC! I have no idea what happened but DO NOT PLACE AN ORDER. The pork fried rice had absolutely NO flavor. I would not give this restaurant even a one star! We have gone to to jade pacific 30 years and the it was great run sold. DO NOT Go TO Another RESTAURANT! They do not know how to run a restaurant. We ordered at 11 am on Xmas eve to pick up at 6 PM. At 6 ok we waited 1 hour then came home and went back at 8 and were told they have not even started cooking our food. We cancelled our order and owners were relieved we did as they couldn't handle they orders they accepted. I cannot express the disappointment and frustration with this restaurant. We ended up ordering from Bamboo restautant and had our food within an hour . I can't emphasise enough that I would give them a zero read more

By far the worst Chinese food I've ever had! We ordered a pupu platter for 2 and everything tasted like the oil hadn't been changed in years. Okay so not my first time of the Jade by a long shot. Honestly, I wish I could give them less than a star. When we sat down we were asked for id by our waitress- which is fine. However my Massachusetts state ID was denied and they told me that I had to have a driver's license which doesn't make any sense because a Massachusetts state ID is a valid form of identification. Had to get out my military ID and argue with the manager for 10 minutes because he said that the pictures on the two ID didn't match- and to be fair, my ID picture was about 40 pounds heavier than my military ID picture. Then was treated very rudely by our waitress. We got cut off at two drinks (which has never happened before!) And yes, we were tipsy. At no point were we belligerent or too drunk. We waited 15 -20 min between visits from our server. I am typically not a person to leave bad reviews or not tip well but I felt like our service was beyond what is acceptable, even from a townie Chinese bar. Drinks and food were great as always, but service left an awful taste in my mouth. Used to love the Jade but will not be back. read more

the mai tai is the best $5.50 you can spend on a drink. in my drinking prime i could choke down four and i would debate walking home. if you want a really drunk, cheap night out, with your scumbag friends; take them to the jade. the crab rangoons are the best ive ever had, and they give you free bread & hot tea. take them up on the free bread, cos youll need it to sop up all the alcohol youre about to throw back. theres also a guy there that looks exactly like kenny rogers. is it kenny rogers? ill never know. final word; get tidbit #4 & get drunk. read more

After a few years of being away, I came back to JP last month and found the food to be horrible. The meat in the fried rice was burnt and the rest was mushy. Chicken fingers were hard to bite into and the chicken wings were dry. Chaulked it up to a bad day. Went last night and it was worse. Ordered the same with similar results. PuPu platter was hard as a rock and the meat was over cooked/ fried. The 2 duck sauce containers were at the bottom of the tightly packed bag upside down which spilled everywhere. Not sure what happened there but I will not return or recommend. read more

i have been going here for years. this is by far the best affordable chinese food this side of the great wall. the food is fast and hot and always fresh (not common for fast food). the service is exceptional and after going there a few years they become like family. the drinks are exceptional too. the mai tai"s are the best ive ever had. ive never had a bad experience here and i recommend it to anyone. the lounge area has booths and small round tables with soft chairs. it really makes you feel like home. i give this restaurant FIVE STARS! read more

I know this place isn't particularly glamorous, but I still love it. The drinks are good (and strong, as other reviewers have mentioned) and the food is what you should expect American Chinese food to be: pretty greasy, mostly fried, and delicious at the time but a rock in your stomach later. Still though...it's usually worth the rock-in-stomach feeling later, because it's just that tasty and satisfying when you're in the mood for that kind of Chinese food. If you're looking for more authentic fare, order from the Sichuan menu at Sichuan Gourmet near the Billerica Mall (but don't go to the Billerica Mall...it's depressing). The atmosphere and decor of the place haven't changed in a few decades, with murals on the walls in both the dining and lounge area, odd lighting, and a parking lot that could use some repaving. The dining area is pretty family-friendly, but the lounge is definitely for adults only. And while it was mentioned in another review, I fail to see how the very real human tragedy of a person abandoned after an overdose in a parking lot of a restaurant- after it was closed for the night- has any bearing on the restaurant itself, and it seems disrespectful to mention it as an aside. read more

Although I'm still a fan of this place the rodent traps that surround the building are concerning. The food especially the crispy beef and special rice are so off the charts good that I still come here despite whats in the traps. The entire place is so in need of a redo, I'd like to hope the owners relocate, bulldoze or do something as the building has zero character inside and out. I know the review is confusing as I give the food high marks while hating the building the food is cooked in. Oh well, just had to update . read more

Not great in any sense... Not the worst I've had however. Go to Sweet Ginger in Burlington instead, see my review on them. My food last night was obviously rushed, the chicken fingers refried, and the spicy beef cold. Also saturated in grease. This may be because it was Christmas Eve, but this is not acceptable. A relative in Billerica ordered from here on a normal day, and it sucked also, or even worse. As I said, Sweet Ginger or Rick's Cafe is recommended. read more

I've had mixed experiences with Jade Pacific. The last time I ate dinner there, the food was poorly executed, even by Chinese fast food standards. More recently my wife got take out from there though was really pretty good though and the portions were really larger than I expected. The building is a bit of an eyesore. The side that faces the street would make you think it was a warehouse. There's often some kitchen worker standing next to it smoking a cigarette. I guess that's par for the course when it comes to Chinese fast food places though. read more

I've been in here a few time and have got takeout and it's always hit or miss. Typically the servers only come to take your order and drop off the food and then chat in a group until 45 minutes after dropping off the food to drop off the check. The last issue I had was A group of friends and I went for a friends birthday dinner a while back. One of my friends arrived late and they refused to serve him alcohol because they thought he was drunk, even though he was dead sober and had just arrived on a motor cycle. They then took our food order and me and that same friend never got our food, mine was just an order or general gao's, nothing else. We both asked multiple times where our food was. After an hour and a half, 30 minutes after our friends finished their meals, we both told the waiter to cancel our orders. He brings us the checks for our drinks, just cokes since they wouldn't serve him alcohol and I was driving, and they never brought our food. We both pay the exact amount, since we could have grabbed a not watered down coke at the 711 down the street and any waiter/manager at another restaurant would have comped the drinks for the trouble. The waiter chases us down in the parking lot asking why we didn't tip, mind you we are in a party of about 12 who did tip since they had no problem with getting food, so why would our missing tip matter so much on our $2.50 cokes? Especially after never getting our food and my friend not being allowed alcohol for no reason? Mind you I usually tip well, even if the service is slow or the food came out wrong. I've tipped $10 when only getting a Pepsi and some cheese and crackers at the 99s. But if you take my order and I ask where the food is every 20 minutes after everyone else is served and then I have to cancel the meal since we have to leave, then a tip is not happening and you should understand that, not chase me into the night to get your 15% tip(about 38 cents.) I've picked up food twice since then and something is always missing. So sorry to say this place is dead to me, I would recommend staying away, especially since this is like the 4th best Chinese food place in town anyway. read more
