They have a big parking lot although it took a weird turn for me to figure out how to get to the street. And my car did get in the lot so just a warning for that even though the lot was basically empty somehow my car was struck ‍The service was great, they were attentive and were pretty quick to get all food. For appetizer we got the crab rangoon and beef rolls which are both with a good sized portion although the crab rangoon was more heavy on the cream flavor. We got the large size of the hot n sour soup and the portion was a lot larger than expected for the price of $6. The noodles were a little let down, lacking some flavor this was both for the cold noodles and beef soup. The mapo tofu and the sichuan chicken were definitely my favorite, the mapo tofu had the perfect numbing flavor that I love. read more

Several more visits since last time have yielded mostly excellent results. High quality Sichuan you rarely see in the 'burbs. -- Sweet Crispy Duck: A do-it-yourself duck bao arrangement with soft wheat buns, sticks of cucumber and scallion, and mostly-shredded crispy duck in a sweet and savory sauce. Think understatedly sweet pulled pork on a bun, only with duck and Chinese flavors. Looks small, but pricing is in the appetizer range, so I treat it as such. Good. -- Shredded Beef with Cayenne Pepper: Not your typical brown sauce glop, even though it might look that way. Lots of spices mixed in, and possibly tiny bits of garlic, along with a fermented, slightly salty quality. Longhorn pepper added mid-level spice. -- Spicy Lamb Dry Hot Pot: Plenty of spiciness and plenty of numbing action from the chili peppers, though no whole peppercorns I could feel. The lamb was both crisp and tender, with spices clinging. Texturally, the vegetables (broccoli, string beans, lotus root) and thin potato slices were all perfectly in the sweet spot between too firm and too wilting. Intense lamb flavor and sauce flavor. Elite. -- Fish Filet in Chili Oil Sauce: Tried this on a lunch combo after enjoying it several times as an entree and it's almost as big as the entree. Very soft, tender, unbreaded fish chunks in an oily, spicy sauce. Near-elite to elite. -- Fish Filet with Green Sichuan Pepper: A huge bowl with delicate white fish and a mostly clear broth that suggested lack of flavor, but looks can deceive; this was very spicy in a pickly, peppery, mouth-numbing way. The broth was too thin to make it suitable for rice, so best with bowl and spoon. -- Shredded Pork with Wood Ear in Hot & Sour Sauce: A new dish introduced in October 2025, this had very tender wormy-shaped pork shreds in a treatment that lived up to the name. Spicy for sure, and very tart as well, with pickled green chili peppers doing double duty. The black mushrooms were relegated mostly to textural enhancement. Clean flavors and no real sauce per se; a nice, unique dish. -- Ma Po Tofu: Pretty solid but pretty standard rendition, with a Boyardee color and consistency, but a spicy, peppery flavor. Soft tofu. Average or a tick above. -- Green Beans with Yacai: Perfectly cooked vegetables with plenty of crunch, just enough wilt, and every one of them well lubricated but not heavily sauced. I'm talking zero glop. Accented with yacai, another vegetable additive that lends some mysterious (actually fermented pickled mustard greens), addicting flavor along with salt. Not saucy, not spicy, but not the least bit lacking. Excellent. -- Sichuan Kung Pao Chicken: Tried on a whim to see how different it would be from standard. It's spicy chicken, with a bit of Sichuan peppercorn tingle, but not that spicy. Same peanuts, no celery. Slightly but not overbearingly sweet. Tender but not crisp. Nice little diversion, but prefer my Spicy Shredded Chicken (much spicier, no sweet) when in a chicken mood. -- Hot & Sour Yam Noodles: Thick, slippery glass noodles in a thick, dark brown condiment with a strong soybean flavor. A little too intense for me, like trying to down a Guinness. Whole soybeans on top. Service is solid, even with just a couple servers at most times. read more

Wanted an authentic Chinese food and this place was quite good. Started with dumplings with hot oil - good garlicky flavor. Then, West Lake beef soup - the bowl was huge; this was okay, I've had better. Then BF had the beef with broccoli, he enjoyed it and I loved the twice-cooked pork; it's the first time I tried it and I loved it, thin slices of pork belly with lots of scallions, it was full of flavor. Then the bok choy with shiitake mushrooms, it was bland. Overall, it was a good choice and the prices were reasonable. Service was attentive. Ordered their authentic Chinese dishes are pretty good. Knocked down one star for the staff being weirdly rude. We got take-out and realized rice wasn't included, went back and ordered some rice. Ended up getting attitude about how we should've told them ahead of time we wanted rice. In my mind, when Chinese dishes don't come with rice, it is up to the staff to ask if you want to order it. With that said, dishes were good: - Twice cooked pork: Probably one of the better versions I've had, has a really good kick. - Cumin lamb: Cumin flavor wasn't overpowering with a good amount of spiciness. - Shredded Pork with Oyster mushroom: Needed a dish for the kids that wasn't spicy. The dish had good flavor with the shredded pork being cut/cooked a little bit differently than I am use to but in a good way. Also never seen Oyster mushrooms cut into a slivers but it works! The amusing part is seeing a complete 180 in demeanor when she starts talking to customers in English and is super nice. The scallion pancake / beef roll was pretty good. Everything else was quite average. My friend said the food (crispy duck) was a step down from previous experience: not as crispy or tender as previous visits. He also said they had a little "shrinkflation" Nothing we ate was bad but nothing would make me need to come back. The thing that really stuck out was the service. Once we got our food, the waitress did not come back: no refills, no follow ups, and we went to the counter to pay. My friend tried to get her attention several times to get another drink. Food - the quality and freshness of their dishes is superb and excellent flavors. The Chicken wings seem expensive, but they are large whole wings, (easily enough for two). Only positive critique we'd add for consideration is to increase shrimp size in house dishes (lo mein or fried rice) to make it stand out more but flavor is excellent, like traditional fresh cook Chinatown restaurant! Wow - this place has gone down hill. I ordered egg rolls and the beef broccoli lunch special with hot and sour soup, crab rangoon, and white rice. The beef was so tough I only ate half of it. Service is great dim sum was as expected nothing spectacular. Food brought hot which I very much like. Ambiance is nice and quiet restaurant was very clean even windows are immaculate. However some food fell short on taste and presentation. Salt and pepper shrimp was coated in sweet cake batter not very much salt and pepper or jalapeños. Sadly, it appears that this restaurant has changed hands - same name, completely different food. The hot dry fish is now tiny heavily breaded pieces that are bland and taste like they're dipped in a cornmeal batter then fried in oil that's not hot enough, resulting in a heavy, greasy, tough bite. Most of the one-star reviews are just people asking why the restaurant is closed (construction, if anyone was wondering), so that's awkward. Anyway, in short, the food here is god-tier. I come here with my parents pretty much whenever we eat out. It's also entirely legitimate Sichuan food (some dishes are technically more from other places, but they're the ones you usually find at Chinese restaurants so it's not a big deal). Personally, my top three are the following, but pretty much anything is a safe bet: -水煮鱼 (fish filet in chili oil), a salty-spicy dish with the most tender and fresh fish you've put in your mouth. -担担面 (tan tan noodles), a hot, spicy noodle dish with ground meat. I've had a lot of tan tan noodles, and theirs is among the best. -凉面 (cold noodles), a sweet-and-sour (and a little spicy) noodle dish. Yes, you eat the cucumbers and green onions too. Most portions are very large family-sized, with only a few appetizers and noodle dishes being smaller (but easily sufficient for one). For the quality, the price is honestly ridiculously low. read more

I'm so sad I can't eat here anymore, and I'm taken with grief as I try to find anything even close to this godly place. I am now in Austin, TX and have not found anything even near as good as this place. Our go-to's were: hot dried fish, hot dried chicken, crispy duck, Dan Dan noodles, kung pao chicken (Chinese style), sichuan green beans, or Peapod stems. If you are looking for some authentic Sichuan food, here is the place to get it. Of course knowing what to order though. I frequently come here about 1 -2 times a month just because I crave for that one thing that they make very well here. That is called "fei-tang-yue" (I am very sorry as I do not know the English name and I am not Chinese but will pronounce this and they understand). It is served in a hot pot bowl with flames below. Very spicy flounder fish with tofu and bean sprouts. When I say spicy, I am telling you it is VERY spicy. The only problem with this dish is, it is very oily and some people do not like all that oil. I enjoy it with a Tsingtao beer to settle the spice. If you are a fan of pork, definitely order the appetizer pork and garlic. (another warning is do not plan on going on a date after to the movies because your breathe will be kicking of garlic).
