Ordered some takeout online, the site was easy to navigate, for dinner. Upon arrival was thought the venue was nice. I didn't realize it was a lounge as well. I want to come back to have the eat in experience. Upon arrival to pick up my order, the front desk staff were really nice and the process was easy. The food was good! We both ordered the spicy broccoli with brown sauce but with different spice levels. There was not a differentiation between the two so we had to sniff and guess. The extra spicy was not actually spicy and the little spice had no spice, which was disappointing. The scallion pancakes were good. I expected them to have a little more crunch from the fry, but the taste was still superb. The miso soup was really good as well. Not an authentic Chinese restaurant!! Ordered a take out for chicken in chili oil and Mongolian beef. Chicken in oil had a lot of starch in the sauce and the chicken seemed boiled and mixed with this sauce. Mongolian beef was much better, hence 2 stars. I came here with friends for an early New Year's Eve dinner. That's definitely not a typical business day for this place, but it was a good opportunity to see how well their kitchen and wait staff handled crowds. They had a special, streamlined, menu for dining in. The waiting area was unusable, because it was completely filled with bags of take-out orders waiting to be picked up. When we left, which was closer to normal dinner times, the line waiting to pick up take-out had extended out the door. The dining area is large, brightly lit, well decorated, and comfortable. Once our party was completely seated the wait staff were quick to take our orders, keep our water glasses full, check on us, etc.. Our dinners came out reasonably fast too. I enjoyed dinner, but I thought a few things could be better. The egg rolls, while somewhat crispy, were also very chewy, and no doubt made well in advance for the busy day. The Mongolian Beef was delicious, but some of the beef was chewy and lower quality. All the vegetables were fresh and crisp, particularly in the Vegetarian Delight. The sauces on the foods complimented them without overwhelming them. The friends who we met here for dinner live locally, and they said they like dining here. I can understand why. read more

While I'm not sure exactly when they opened, the "Grand Opening" banner is still posted proudly on the front of the restaurant. When we arrived, I thought, "Hmm.. just another place to find a greasy plate of General Gau's". However, when we stepped inside, it was most certainly not that. Okay, okay. So, General Gau's Chicken is *technically* on their menu as are other American Chinese standards like Mongolian Beef. However, they also have sushi. *happy, happy sigh* I ordered a California Roll and Futo Maki and they were superb--well constructed, well presented, and extremely fresh. My husband ordered the Peking duck. While I ordinarily detest duck, I couldn't help but salivate over it as the aroma innocently wafted across the table towards me. -_- The interior is very chic--I was expecting the usual, utilitarian-looking vinyl booths. Instead, the interior was very modern with multi-colored wood trim and recessed lighting throughout. Our server was extremely polite, friendly, and eager to please. The food took a little bit longer than expected to get to us--the Peking duck in particular, but I chalk that up to the establishment being brand new. I suspect the pace will pick up as they go. I ordered lunch takeout from Golden Ginger very recently. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is modern and clean. I ordered the L28 Lo Mein with Shrimp ($5.95 plus tax) served with choice of rice, choice of appetizer and choice of soup. The food I had was very good. The lo mein noodles were cooked firm tossed with fresh vegetables (carrots, scallions, onions) and very soft shrimp. The fried rice (goldenrod color) had a firm texture with scallions, egg, and small pieces of roast pork. The 2 crab rangoons (folded on top) were crunchy outside, filled with a sweet crab cheese filling, not greasy. The hot & sour soup had a good mild spicy flavor. The service was very prompt and I received my food order in under 10 minutes. I would definitely eat here again! read more

if i could give a zero i would.. terrible customer service. even when they get your order wrong! ordered a steamed chicken and broccoli w/brown sauce on the side for my 7 yr old. they gave us white sauce. i call them and the man on the phones response was," we charge an extra dollar for the brown". after spending close to $70 dollars, whats an extra dollar?! they couldve called me, or asked my husband when he picked up our order. when i expressed this to them, the man proceeded to be rude and asked,"what would you like me to do?". because we dont live in town (15mins away) i asked if they would refund the money just for the chicken dish as a courtesy for us having to drive all the way back. the man refused! whats $12 dollars, compared to keeping a customer?! never again. read more

I've been here a few times and it's good but I'm extremely displeased as of lately, and not with the food. Two weeks ago, I called and called with no answer so I went elsewhere. Today, I placed an order over the phone and tried giving them a card number which they did not accept. They apparently don't take cards over the phone which seems ridiculous because we're in a pandemic and it's 2020. I ended up having to go to Ginger Gourmet in N. Reading so a half an hour of driving and low and behold, it's the same exact management there as it is here. So tell me, why do one of your restaurants accept cards on the phone but the other does not? I want to add that I manage a property in the area and the reasoning for wanting to pay over the phone was because my boss who doesn't work on site wanted to think his team by purchasing us lunch. read more

We came here on a Thursday evening for dinner. It wasn't that busy but we got a table after a few mins of waiting. Nice decor and pretty spacious place. Once we sat down at our table, it took the waitress a long time just to come by to ask what we wanted for drinks and dropped off fried wontons. Took her another 15 mins or so to come back with our water and to take our order. We ordered the Happy family, sweet and sour soup, chicken chow fun and 3 hand rolled sushi. The food came out pretty quick. The happy family was a bit too sweet, the chow fun needed more flavor and the hand rolled sushi was too stale. It took me awhile just to chew one of them hand rolled sushi. The sushi didn't really taste fresh. The spicy tuna, the tuna avocado and spicy salmon was good and had flavor but the seaweed wrapper was so stale. As we were eating, we noticed the tables beside us had cleared out but the table was never clean. It was like that during our whole dine in time which was a long 45 mins or so. Overall, the food was ok. Portion size are really bad. It's so small that one person can finish both chow fun and happy family all by themselves. The cost was a bit too expensive. I'm surprised by all the great reviews. Although this place is clean and spacious the portions are small and the prices are high. I've never seen crab rangoons or chicken fingers so tiny. Even the boneless spareribs are cut paper thin. Everything's piled on a bed of lettuce to make it look more substantial. As far as the sushi, I've only had the lunch combos which were decent, but like another reviewer mentioned, they came disconcertingly warm for raw fish. The lunch specials are okay. Most places I can't finish an entire meal but here it's clean plate city. As with most establishments this place was really good when it opened. My last visit was with a gift card I had lying around for over a year. This is the only Chinese food restaurant I've ever been to where you can spend $75 on a dinner for two and leave with 1 small take out box. It would have been 3 large ones if we chose to take home all of the lettuce and curly parsley garnish though! read more

My husband and I are so happy that there is finally a good quality Asian restaurant, that serves sushi, in Wilmington. We have dined in twice and have ordered takeout twice and have been very pleased with everything that we have tried thus far. My husband thinks that the crab rangoons are the best that he has ever had and I very much enjoyed their rainbow roll. The service is very personable. After only dining in twice, when I picked up my take out order this evening, they remembered my 7 month old daughter who was not with me today. I feel that the decor is a step up from most restaurants in Wilmington. I hope everyone checks this place out. I want to make sure that it stays busy so it stays open. read more

This place is consistently good. We've been there for both lunch and dinner. Some of our standbys include the Shanghai style noodles with chicken. It's not saucy and greasy like lo mein but very savory and light. My toddler really enjoys it and so do we. I usually get the Mongolian beef for lunch or as part of their dinner combo special. The scallion pancakes are very good as well...flavorful and crispy with layers, not like some other places that make a fried dough with some scallions scattered about. read more

I work in the area and have made a habit of trying out anything that's open for lunch and I have to say that this is a favorite now. It has an unassuming (even misleading) facade that suggests run-of-the-mill chinese take-out. it isn't. Its much better. Lunch is always affordable and of a high quality. I've tried maybe four dishes and have enjoyed every one of them. None of them taste like they were prepared hours ago and scooped out of a chafing dish in a back room. Despite this the price is always between $6 and $10 for lunch. Although the quality of the fare isn't gourmet, it is easily the best chinese food within 10 miles... or maybe as far as Boston. I haven't tried the sushi. The food is good. The service is good. The ambiance is fine. read more
