Worst Chinese food I have ever had! Chicken fingers were literally a sliver of chicken with all bread and WAY over-cooked. We ordered $500 in to go - you would think they would want to impress-NOPE! The pork fried rice=NO PORK. Two pans of veggie rice instead... and just mediocre crab Rangoon, and DRIED-UP egg rolls!! Everything from start to finish sucked! The person who answered the phone to take the order was rude. The person who delivered the order was rude and when we called to complain because something was missing or wrong the person on the phone told us next time order somewhere else. read more

Regular customer ordered a repeat of our last 4 orders thru grubhub....never again. Salt and Pepper Shrimp which are usually nice and big battered shrimp, came as a processed breaded disaster. Shrimp you get at golden coral would be better. All of the rest of the order was also overcooked. We decided to call the restaurant directly the next day and were told to contact grub hub, the food was delivered on time and hot, just horrible. The restaurant said maybe the owner changed the recipe, as far I know Gulf Shrimp (on the menu) doesn't look like that. Especially not for $22. It's very sad that the restaurant blamed Grub Hub and didn't just admit the food was not up to the usual quality. read more

Never ever go to this place. I just ordered vegetable lo mein. After the first bite, to my surprise I found an old cooked fingernail in my food. Never should a customer have to experience something like this... disgusting. I spend the last hour dry heaving. I can't believe how unsanitary this is. I would even go as far as to say this was done in spite. I called the restaurant close to the end of the night. Honestly, I don't know what I just put in my mouth. Bacteria, Fungus.. We ordered 4 dinners from the Jade tonight. We have never had an issue but tonight we found this Dry wall anchor inside the egg roll. Thank god a child didn't end up with with this choking hazard. The manager did give us a credit for the egg rolls.. he didn't seem too surprised about this finding though..we will be very wary about ordering from here in the future. read more

I have ordered from here for over 20 years. Sine moving to New Hampshire I have not been a regular. Was in he area tonight and decided to order. 2 orders of fried wontons a d they taste burnt and are overly greasy. I bet the oil needs to be changed. 1 wonton soup which was good and not an issue. I always recommend their soup. Only comment is that the mushrooms looked to be very very close to rotten. Combo plate with sesame chicken. Asked for all white meat and that is not what I got. The chicken is tough and the sauce is not what I remember. It is tangy and not in a good way. The combo has these fried wontons on top and they are soggy and so greasy as well. Again, bad oil? One of the trade-offs of moving to the 'burbs is the lack of quality, ethnic food. And when you have a hunkering on a rainy Saturday for greasy Chinese, the options are limited and you'll have to decide if you either want to drive there or have it delivered. I think I got it delivery here once in a nasty storm but other than that, I take the seven minute drive up the road and pick it up myself. That's the only option anyway considering there aren't any tables inside. I'm also amazed at the amount of people working here on any given night, it has to be at least 10 so they must do some pretty brisk take-out volume. I'm not going to boast that this is the best Chinese food you've ever had or that it'll blow you away somehow. But it's strangely comforting and of decent quality. My go-to is the sesame pork, perfectly crispy and drowning in sweet sauce. I've really never had anything like Burlington Jade's method of making it. We then usually get a side of green beans or choy to round out the order, along with a side of white rice. It usually sets us back about $25 but it easily lasts two meals. So reasonably priced, quick service and significant portions keep bringing us back. Don't expect too much but don't also expect you'll find something that is much better within a 5-mile radius. Pretty much your standard by-the-books american chinese food place. Lo Mein and Mandarin Orange Chicken were exactly the same as I've had at two dozen other places - bland, but filling. The chicken wings are great, very crispy and flavorful. Would recommend those. The teriyaki beef is good, but nothing out of the ordinary there. Did seem a little pricey for what I got - $44.73 for: orange chicken ($13), lo mein ($11), 3 pieces of fried chicken ($7), 6 pieces of beef teriyaki ($11). More than a dollar per wing of fried chicken is pretty wild, two dollars per beef teriyaki stick, 13 bucks for 8 regular-sized pieces of orange chicken, etc. read more

Not using them again. Every time I order I tell the person not to call since I will be downstairs in the lobby waiting and my phone will be upstairs so if they call, I won't know. And yet the driver continues to call each time, sometomes more than once and I don't usually know until 30 to 60 minutes after delivery. So I tell the guy this and he wants me to take my phone with me. He has a huge problem with the fact there is no reason for me to take my phone since I always see the driver, approach him and ask if he is for me. Not a difficult concept to grasp. But he insisted so I told him to cancel the order and I will not order from them again. He said fine and hung up. This is not rocket science. If you want to lose a customer because I don't bring my phone to the lobby, that's okay with me. read more

Their Peking Ravs are also good The Hot and Sour Soup is good but very peppery Chicken Curry is pretty good - Basically veggies with curry powder, could do with coconut milk or something to give it a little more richness. Sichuan String Beans - Just ok. A little bland, it needs black beans or pickled cabbage slivers to round out the flavor. I stood and watched 5 of the staff take a meal break and enjoy some fresh hot Chinese food and dumplings behind the cozy counter area. The portion of hot food was very generous, piled into a square styrofoam box. The Shrimp with Cashew had a mix of fresh vegetables (celery, mushrooms, peppers, onions), water chestnuts, small shrimp (cleaned) in a slightly sweet brown sauce. The pork fried rice (light brown color) was standard with a soft texture and mixed pieces of roast pork (some fatty, some lean). The pan fried Peking raviolis were filled with a soft ground pork mix in a firm dough shell. The round egg foo young was firm on outside and soft inside with a mix of roast pork and onions in a fried egg mixture, a thick brown gravy in a separate container. After a year of banning Burlington Jade, I stupidly gave it another chance. I couldn't get a parking spot at my usual eateries on the way home from my job, my town, not to mention my state has become overpopulated over the years so I have to go out of my way to find somewhere to get food after working late every day. $27.00 for 4 small items from this place. I know they went up on their prices like I wrote before, I forked over my money because I was hungry. Not to mention stupid. The beef fried rice was decent enough, the vegetable chow mien was okay, but the reason for the 1 star is the meat side orders. Small Beef Teriyaki, $6.75 for 3 pieces. Raw inside, a purplish red. Almost the same price for the small wings, 4 pieces. Raw inside, the chicken that's supposed to be white was pink. I tried nuking them both but all I ended up with was chewy beef and the chicken wings after 5 minutes of cooking were STILL raw! I'm not going to give anything else but 1 star for a meal that's overpriced and half the meal went into the garbage. And I'm not going back to this dump ever again, NEVER. read more
