As a huge eyewear collector and fan of Jacque Marie Mage, I had to go in this store to see what cool offerings they had. On my first visit to the store, I met a friendly associate named Wolfe who became a personal shopper for me. While I didn't purchase anything on that visit, we stayed in touch and I would periodically receive a text from Wolfe with a new piece they got in. Last week, I received a message that there was a new addition to the New Frontier line, called Sterrett in Sergeant (camo). This is a colorway I have been wanting for a long time. After giving it some thought I decided to call Wolfe and inquire further about it. I shared with them that most of the New Frontier line I looked at last year had a defective loose hinge and asked that they double check them before they get shipped out (this appears to be a common issue you will find on the various JMM collector pages on social media). She said they were fine and shipped them. I then received a tracking number that was the incorrect one and said my package was being delivered to San Francisco. Once they came in, I found that the left temple was again loose, and that the frames she sent me pics of, were not the ones I received (see attached bait and switch pics). I took them to my regular optician in Denver who also sells JMM and he confirmed the temple was in fact loose in the frame. This is REALLY unfortunate and unacceptable given the frame cost $2250!! Anyway, now I'm likely either stuck with a defective frame, or going to have to go back across town to my optical store to pick them up, ship them out, wait another week or two (maybe longer) to get what will likely be another defective frame. This is SUPER unfortunate for what used to be a premium brand, but now appears to be built like Chinese junk. read more

Walked in without an appointment looking for some frames for optical use and told the associate what frames I wanted to look at. She had me sit down and brought out everything I wanted to see and water. She asked for feedback and I told her my concerns and she threw a curve ball and brought out something that wasn't on my radar but addressed all my concerns. Luna and Christina are absolutely amazing!!!!!!! I purchased my first pair of Jacques Marie Mage late last year and I wanted to ensure to get the right lenses to pair with them. I normally use my own optician for my lenses so I sent them in to get the perfect lenses installed. Unfortunately with the holidays everything was pretty delayed. I sent them in to my optician on 1 Dec 25 and finally received them 29 Jan 26. After a super long wait in which it was already irritating, I received my JMM's back in a used case and the original case, presentation box and certificate of authenticity was nowhere to be found. Already highly upset about that I tried on the glasses and they were crooked and dirty. I decided to stop by Jacques Marie Mage at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa hoping to just get the frames adjusted so I could wear them. Upon arrival I was warmly greeted by Luna and I explained what happened. A short time later Christina, another amazing associate that I've worked with before, came over to assist. These ladies noticed that my frames looked crooked and offered to adjust them for me. While I was waiting a newer associate Eric greeted me as well and we had a very nice conversation. Once Christina returned she asked for me to try the frames on to check how they fit. Well guess what? The frames fit 1000% perfect!!! She explained the one of the lenses wasn't sitting in the frames correctly which caused them to be crooked. Although I was shocked to hear that, I was on cloud nine that my frames fit correctly and they are insanely comfortable!!!!! Already over the moon with Christina's skill, she asked me to wait for a moment. A couple of seconds later Luna came out and presented me with a beautifully presented bag with replacements of my presentation box, case and certificate of authenticity!!!!!! I'm almost 52 years old and a retired veteran that has traveled the world and I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED THAT LEVEL OF CUSTOMER SERVICE, CUSTOMER APPRECIATION, and BRAND PROFESSIONALISM EVER!!!!!!!! Jacques Marie Mage eyeglass frames are second to none, but the customer service at the South Coast Plaza boutique is horrendous. In the last 18 months, I have purchased two eyeglass frames from JMM, always working with the same associate, Joseph J, who was amazing. Today, 12/26/2025, I returned to the SCP JMM boutique to purchase a few new frames. Sadly, Joseph no longer works at this location. I asked to see their current inventory, and I was told I would not see the collection, but only a few frames at a time (they only display about 20 frames and the rest are stored in drawers). I explained how Joseph would open the drawers and show me the full inventory, allowing me to select which frames to try on. Today I was rudely informed this was not allowed and I could only try on a sample of the inventory. I was then asked what I was looking to see. I suggest you NEVER go to the south coast plaza Jacques Marie Mage boutique if you are in need of new frames. Worse customer service I have ever experienced. read more

I recently purchased a prescription pair of Belvedere glasses (61 of 200) and I have to say I had assistance and input to some degree by everyone working there, but Dylan and Christina were two of the expert client sales members who really took their time to closely work with me. Dylan and Christina were so patient and knowledgeable about the products. I couldn't ask for a better luxury sales experience and two people to guide me through the details of the glasses and the questions I had. Everyone seemed to enjoy working there and the store buildout was not only beautiful, but there was just a great vibe inside the place. The great customer service didn't just end at the sale, but Dylan and Christina both reached out to keep me appraised of the prescription process, shipping updates, and just took their time to sincerely help in any way they could.
