This place was such a pleasant experience. Went for date night and would definitely come back again. We loved both of our meals, but had such a hard time ordering because the whole menu was enticing. I especially loved that our meals were fairly healthy but also delicious (that's Mediterranean food for you though!) My partner had one complaint - it felt small and could maybe bother those who are claustrophobic. It did feel tight in there, but we also went on Friday or Saturday night. We really enjoyed our dinner here. They do not serve alcohol, but we brought in some wine and it worked out fine. (No cork fee or anything.) We started with the cheese curds and they were so good! We had mahi mahi, salmon, chicken sandwich and chicken and lamb skewers. All were delicious. Next time we'll try the grilled skewer tower. We saw them serving them to other tables and they were very impressive with a flame at the base and various skewers. The baklava was delicious as well! Thank you for a fabulous meal! read more

I usually get take out. Orders are accurate and portions are good. Consistent flavor on dishes. The Philly Steaks are my absolute favorite.

Unexpectedly classy joint between a laundromat and a Wendy's. Came here for my Dad's birthday dinner last night. Their lentil soup is excellent, possibly the best we've had. The skewer tower is a show stopper (Pro-tip: It's not a lazy Susan. If you spin the base, it'll loosen the nut holding it together and cause it to collapse. Don't make the mistake I did!) The sandwiches aren't as impressive to see as the skewers, but they are very tasty and I love the fries they come with. Definitely coming back next time I'm in town. read more

Have made 2 trips here and both were excellent. Tried the Tower of skewers did chicken scallops and steak all were seasoned well and cooked perfectly. Had the truffled deviled eggs for appetizer and they were great. On the second visit had the Hummus for an appetizer and it was very good. Then tried the fish tacos and the pita like shells were a nice touch and fish fillets in the tacos were nice size very filling. Service was good and food came out fairly quickly prices are on the high end but quality was worth it. Will be back. read more

This place is hands down the best restaurant Ive been to in Bloomington. I came in with a mind set of having a burger. Our server suggested otherwise and recommended the most amazing chicken dish. We ordered the cheese curds as an appetizer and they are the best ive ever had along with their housemade ranch dressing. Our server also suggested we have the baklava and it was very delicious. Excellent food, service and atmosphere! Was pleasantly surprised as when we pulled up to Jacks there were no cars in parking lot. We thought about trying some other place but on the advice of a carload of people while we were contemplating we decided to give jacks a try. What a win!!! Every bite of food was superb, our server was friendly and helpful and we were pleasantly surprised that all table wear was real! NO plastic or paper products anywhere!! Prices were excellent and portions were large. You won't go away hungry!! Had a delightful lunch today. A little wary since it is next to a coin op laundry. Don't let that dissuade you. Our server was fun. Had lunch with a group of 11 yesterday. My first time eating at Jack's even though I had been told about the great food. It was amazing!! The menu was varied and I was excited to see some different options compared to most Blm/Normal restaurants. We had the truffle deviled eggs and eggplant for appetizers. SO GOOD! I wasn't super hungry so opted for the pomegranate/goat cheese salad with curried carrot soup. Really good. I can't wait to go back. Our server was just excellent too. A few weeks ago I had to submit to the chatter regarding this restaurant. Although they opened amid Covid, they certainly raise the bar amongst restaurants. I first ordered delivery and discovered the most delectable morsels. Hands down they serve the very best hummus in blono served with roasted carrots, cucumbers, and house made naan. I could hardly believe my tastebuds! Then this week I ventured into the establishment. It is a small restaurant decorated in a city vibe. The menu has unique Mediterranean flavors as well as items picky eaters would enjoy. You already know I had to order the hummus ($10.99 for a very generous portion)! I also ordered the salmon salad($15.99). It was full of lightly pickled vegetables, greens, and a pistachio vinaigrette. Certainly a different flavor profile than I am used to, and absolutely delicious! As if that wasn't enough, I also tried the baklava ($7.99). Wow! It is definitely a twist on what I considered baklava to be. Obviously it is house made, and out of this world good!! Plus they serve it with ice cream. Nice food. I like to get the salmon skewer dish the most and it's grilled nicely and has a good taste. It can be hard to find places in town with high quality salmon that doesn't taste fishy, so it's very comforting to know Jack's is around if I ever need it. A family member was also a big fan of the Philly cheese steak and onion rings. The salads are good as well. This is a very good choice if you want to try something different. read more

This was a last minute pivot when a restaurant nearby had a long wait. We were very happy with our change of fate. The lamb egg rolls were crispy and tasty. The scallop skewers were good and the scallops had a nice smoky taste. My paella was huge and excellent--at least two more meals with the leftovers. We didn't realize it is a BYOB establishment so my husband ran across the street and grabbed champagne. Definitely will return next time we are in the neighborhood. read more
