This is a great spot for breakfast or brunch! It was my first time here. It wasn't very busy. The coffee was good, the service was fast and friendly and the restaurant is clean and comfy. The menu has a lot to offer. There's a lot of interesting breakfast dishes with skillets and omelettes and sandwiches. I got the kimchi fried rice skillet which was really tasty and I would definitely get again!
Fantastic service! Calvin was so attentive and helpful. The food was excellent! We got two omelets (try the southwestern!) and love that you have the option of getting french toast or pancakes as a side in addition to your standard options. The pancakes, also, were fantastic. Decoration was cute, clean, bright, and welcoming! Lovely little diner.
Very nice and clean facility with very pleasant staff. I ordered The Decker, which included hash browns, diced sausage, biscuits and gravy, topped with scrambled eggs. Save for the scrambled eggs, the dish was delicious. The scrambled eggs were cooked way too long. My wife ordered the Eggs Benedict which she loved.
Glad to see such a place close by to home and with plenty of parking. The decor is modern, the dinning area is well laid out and the entire area is clean. They have a good selection of items on the menu for breakfast, although the lunch menu seems a bit thin. The service is very friendly, tentative and prompt. The food comes out as ordered and at the right temperature. Most importantly, the food is good!! I also like that they use toast for quick and easy payment.
Bloomin' Cafe had gone through some growing pains when initially started, but definitely found their footing in a nice spot with ample parking in north Normal, Illinois. There have been changes made within the past year, some more subtle than others, but they make all the difference. The friendly, open atmosphere for breakfast is inviting and welcoming. The owners and their servers are all friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable, and that just makes you feel at ease to enjoy your meal. Speaking of which, some of the subtle changes you may notice are the organic ketchup condiment you have on the table and the real butter being used with your meal and for sides. This is intentional as it's about ensuring better quality, less additive ingredients are being used when preparing and serving your meal. Adding quality garnishes and spices to things like your eggs and hashbrowns are minor yet quite noticeable and enhance the meal in just the right way. Something that almost sounds silly when I'm saying it, yet is grossly devoid in many places is the fact that when you take a bite and taste the eggs, they taste like really fresh real eggs. Hashbrowns as well don't taste or feel like they have a bunch of extra or processed junk with them. A little salt and pepper to taste for each enhances the already great flavor. Additionally, the pancakes are exactly the same; great taste that just seems right. The meal tastes as it should, and brings me back to memories 40 years ago how my breakfast food used to taste. A few years ago, I may have said the meal was a bit on the pricey side, but in reality these days it's on par with other restaurants. However, that is a gross understatement as the quality is punching far above this standard of a weight class as the quality ingredients and preparation are much better. I've been here when it's early morning and not so busy as well as a mid Sunday morning with a packed house, and the meals stay consistent. The cooks do an excellent job and can you can tell they actually care about how they are preparing and serving the food. The cook and the owners do come around and ensure that things are just right as they care about their business and most importantly their customers, the life blood of why they do what they do. This may sound like a lot to just talk about some eggs on a plate, but if you really do care about what you eat and enjoy a simple yet quality meal, please consider patronizing this business and supporting what a family run restaurant in your local hometown should be. You'll be glad you did.

Good breakfast but nothing wowed me. They can accommodate large groups which is nice. The omelette was frittata style in which the ingredients are baked into the eggs. I prefer folded omelettes. The hash browns were good. The pancakes were pretty good but had a grittiness that I couldn't understand. The biscuits and gravy were good with a flavorful thick gravy. The coffee was fine.
Cute, super clean little breakfast and lunch spot. Menu has all the stuff you expect in a breakfast/lunch place. Breakfast has eggs, pancakes, French toast, waffles, benedicts, omelet, plus an avocado toast plate with eggs and bacon. They have one waffle smothered in ice cream and crushed Oreos! The lunch menu offers sandwiches, salads, burgers. I went for breakfast and enjoyed a 2 egg combo with bacon and pancakes. Everything arrived hot and perfectly cooked. I'm a real butter girl so I didn't use the margarine that came with the pancakes. It was a later breakfast, so I went with iced tea and didn't try the coffee. Finally, my server was fantastic, very friendly.
We took our car to Discount Tire and walked here while we were waiting. There were only a few other customers at 8 AM. I ordered a cheddar cheese omelet, hash browns and some French toast with fruit. My husband got the Decker skillet which had biscuits and gravy with eggs on top. The food came in about 5 minutes. The portions were huge and we both only ate half. Both were excellent! We would definitely come back if we were in the area. Prices were reasonable and staff was very friendly. We are not sure why they weren't busier because this is a great place to dine for breakfast.

I enjoyed this quiet little brunch spot in Normal. I dined alone on a weekday morning, so it was not busy. Service was excellent and the restaurant was noticeably clean and tidy. I ordered the chicken bacon ranch skillet with grilled chicken and scrambled eggs and French toast for my side, along with a cup of coffee. Food was delicious, across the board. Flavors, portions, textures, presentation, all perfect. Coffee was good, though i am not a fan of shelf-stable creamer packets. Prices were a bit high but quality of food, service, and environment offsets that. read more

We waited 40 minutes for a table on a Sunday and it was totally worth the wait. Everybody in our party had the Eggs Benedict - and all cooked to perfection. And, we got a pancake for the table and oh my my - pure heavenly delight! read more

We waited a short time and walked into a clean and friendly cafe! The waitress was a delight and the food was fresh and tasty! The seasoning on the fries was the talk of the table! Fresh , tasty and a great experience. Highly recommend! Two of us had the Southern BLT & one had the Bistro Benedict! read more

Yelp reviews for the win! We're passing through the area and turned to Yelp to find a breakfast spot. Took the advice of others and tried the cinnamon swirl french toast as my side for my egg plate and am glad I did. It's like eating a cinnamon roll inside of French toast but not as sweet. I tried some with syrup and some without, I preferred without. My husband got the hobo skillet and loved it! Everything was cooked perfectly and came out super fast. Service was exceptional. Lots of parking and they offer Wi-Fi but beware of a time limit of 60 minutes at the table. Cool little spot. read more
Another breakfast wonder hit alongside Fort Jesse Cafe, these guys offer cozy friendly small town indoor dining with a delightful menu of familiar options and some smartly done original craveables. I have been here twice the past six months with two different groups all ending on rave reviews from everyone, pancakes, meats, sides, and my benedict both times have been a star! It's a well trained friendly staff doing it all right with decent prices too. Fantastic location with plenty of parking, I'm all for a great combination of proteins and harty flavors! Highly recommend the southwest Benedict and was surprised how fresh my side fruit bowl turned out too! read more

This was our first time visiting this restaurant and boy it didn't disappoint. We were seated very promptly and our server Jordyn was quick to bring us coffees and water. She kindly let us take our time to peruse the menu, before we decide on the Hobo skillet (with the hash browns to be cooked extra crispy) with French toast, as well as the Garden Omelette also with French toast. The food came out promptly; in under ten minutes after we ordered. Everything tasted wonderful, especially the French toast. What I liked most was the convenience of paying right at our table after we were done with our meal. We will definitely be back!!! :) Diners tip: Because of limited seating they do ask that you keep dining to no more than 60 minutes so that other customers may get a chance to dine as well. :) read more
I'm so happy to see another brunch spot open in Bloomington/Normal! There's definitely a need for more places like this, especially in North Normal. Overall, my experience here was good! We came with a large group and our waitress totally nailed it - everyone got exactly what they ordered in a timer manner (except me, but that's okay, read on!). The menu has what you'd expect to see on a brunch menu. I could tell that everyone I was with was happy with their order. I got the Chicken Bacon Avocado Salad and that's where my 4/5 stars really comes into play. I really wish I had taken a picture of it, but by the time my salad finally got to me, most of the people I was with were halfway through their meals and I was getting pretty darn hungry - so, I scarfed it down before I could snap a pic. To describe the salad itself: It had about one cup of chopped romaine, 4 slices of cucumber, one tomato slice (cut into 4s), bacon bits, 1/4 of an avocado, and maybe 1/4 of a smashed/grilled chicken breast. It tasted good, but I think $12 is quite steep for this little salad. I'd come back if other people suggested it, but I guess I'd have to find something else on the menu if I was really hungry. read more

I love this incredible family run breakfast and lunch gem! I eat here once a week! They have the BEST Benny in Blono!!!! You are greeted with a smile and seated. TV screens show their specials and the menu has something for everyone. I can only testify to the Benny's they serve. My favorite is the Bistro Benny. A delectable English muffin served with avocado, tomato, bacon, brilliantly, poached, egg, and housemaid hollandaise sauce. If you love eggs Benedict, you must try it! ($13) My family also enjoys the breakfast burrito ($12). The restaurant is super clean and the staff works together like a symphony. I really can't say enough about them! Their hours are Tues- Sat 7am -2pm & closed on Monday. What are you waiting for? Go get a Benny!!! read more

We had an excellent time visiting with our family at Bloomin' Cafe. I highly recommend the cinnamon French toast, and chicken and waffles. Our host, Merlinda and our waitress, Nuli were both friendly and responded in a timely manner! I highly recommend Bloomin Cafe for anyone looking for a great breakfast joint in Normal/Bloomington. Food was okay but portions seemed small for the price. Place is clean and service was good but there were on 4 tables with customers for 2 servers, so..... Nothing to get excited about with this place at least for lunch. I'm willing to give breakfast a shot but lunch was just eh. read more

Super yummy breakfast! Got the eggs Benedict, avocado toast, and very berry French toast. Everything was very good! And the vanilla latte came with the most adorable sprinkles and whip cream. Only complaint was I would have liked more berries on the French toast. read more

The food was under seasoned.Think they threw paint and change menu. Waffles n cardboard. Waffles were not good. If it was zero stars. Avocado toast on the butt on bread ugh. They did ask if we wanted something else....he'll read more

Food was ready in less than 10 minutes of ordering! The staff was friendly and the restaurant was cute and clean. The hobo skillet was amazing but we wished there was more meat in it. The pancakes were so good and filling! Great spot and it's right off the highway (55) read more
