Are you serious, a dozen donuts $22. Just a few months ago it was $13/dozen. Never again!!!

Anyone giving this place less than a five star should be kicked off Yelp! Here's the deal- you want a crazy good donut? The kind the cops eat? Like seriously ridiculous yummy donuts. This is pretty much a need to go to establishment. This is a donut you would travel to eat! read more

Super rude and the doughnuts were stale. I would recommend going to the other pastry places downtown.

The donuts were really good. We ordered iced coffees and they were tasty, nice donut shop downtown

135 West Market Indianapolis Worst Customer Service Received poor customer Service via phone, thought personnel was having a bad day, so I proceeded to patronize business secondary to good reviews, rude and inconsiderate behavior continued, wish I was able to tell you how food tasted, but the service was so bad I left without making a purchase, AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COST read more

Good donuts. Good service. Everything good. Big donuts so be aware. Small company but they definitely hit harder than you expect

Jack's Donuts are always consistently good quality. They were fresh when delivered this morning after I put my order in last night. Our only complaint is that we ordered several specific kinds that couldn't be fulfilled. It would be great if the order form could be updated to show which donuts they actually have on a certain day. The kids were a little bummed there weren't any Oreo donuts in the box, but the regular chocolate satisfied them anyway! read more

I am here in town for business and was looking for an alternative to cupcakes to bring to my clients and came upon this establishment. I noticed a woman lingering outside of your building smoking and much to my surprise, she is your employee. What struck me are these things: She ran into the store behind me when she saw me enter the store and DID NOT wash her hands. She came right from smoking a cigarette to serving the food which is DISGUSTING! She also was unprofessional in her demeanor and looked like she just rolled out of bed. I felt compelled to order something because I was already there so I ordered 1/2 dozen donut holes which I threw out when I left because there is no way I am eating here having witnessed the unsanitary conditions. And when I left, she ran back out to smoke another cigarette! read more

Apparently Jack's Donuts is a fan favorite in Indy. I was working in town and my last day in the city decided to treat the staff in the Indy office to some sweet treats. It was pretty early in the day so I was able to snag a parking spot right our front. There was a pretty good line up to place orders. I had the lady do an assortment for me. She wasn't the most pleasant person to interact with, but got my donuts and bounced. A dozen donuts was pretty affordable, and everyone at work was very happy to have them. The box was empty before lunchtime! read more

The donuts are ok, at best... but the service is terrible. Nothing like walking in with your family and being treated like crap to start your day off - there really is no good reason to be rude to customers. read more

Wow it's cold outside in Indy but warm at Jack's! Delicious HOT coffee and just enough doughnut choices to make your decision easy! Don't miss if you're in the area, you will love it! read more

Friendly staff and clean big space! We went there to get some munchkins for our kids. They love it! We all sat outside and took a break!

So I had to go downtown to handle some bureaucratic business, and of course I was exhausted from jumping through hoops and crawling under red tape afterward and needed some coffee. I searched the area and found Jack's Donuts and thought I could give it a shot. Overall, I was really underwhelmed. I got an iced coffee, and I instantly regretted ordering a large. Their iced coffees are several shots of espresso poured over ice and watered down with tap water (also known as an iced americano....?). It tasted really sour and bland. I really wish I had gotten a latte or a regular coffee, because I saw a couple people get those and they looked much better. I also got a couple donuts (obviously). They had a pretty big selection of very fresh and delicious looking donuts. I chose the Boston cream (my favorite!!) and it tasted just as good as it looked. Yum! I think I might give Jack's Donuts another try. I am a huge coffee snob admittedly, so that's where you have to win me over. The employees were very nice and friendly, and they have an awesome location right down the street from the Circle though. It's easy to walk over there and enjoy a nice donut (or several). read more

I'm happy to have a donut option downtown! If how many of them have opened all over the area is an indication, Jack's is doing well; and this downtown locations seems to be no exception. The donuts are a good selection, and they are an average price. The parking can be a challenge, as it is metered parking on Market Street right across from the capitol. The staff has been helpful, and it really is a good option for donuts for the office. read more

On a Sunday morning at 10 am, I was excepting to smell fresh baked donuts and friendly service. This place is overrated. The donuts were old and the service was unfriendly. It's not a place I would recommend. I would appreciate fresh donuts if it is morning; I could understand why I would get old donuts at night. My recommendation find another donut shop. read more

Service was terrible but the donuts were delicious. No donut name tags of what stuff was and when I had a question, the lady was so rude and made my feel like an idiot. Still mesmerised by how soft this swirl donut was. The chocolate part was so soft. I don't understand. I want it for forever and it'll now be in my dreams. read more

The donuts are decent. But they almost never have anything fresh, and they never have all of their donuts in stock. I have ordered at 7 am as soon as they open and been sold stale donuts, and have been told they don't have certain kinds in stock. How can you have been open for less than five minutes, and be half-stocked with stale product? Also, the coffee tastes dirty water. Pure garbage. read more

Started at 5 and now we're here. This location was one of my favorite places to grab a donut. However, when I went in the other week right as they opened they had two options in the case. I bought one of each and it was pretty clear that they were from the previous day. They were sweaty (which is how everyone wants to describe a donut) and they were also stale. Beyond stale. Really disappointed in this decline. read more

I'm not really a donut girl. Sure, I've been known to enjoy a fluffy, sticky, cream-filled donut every now and then, but overall I'll take ice cream, tiramisu, or cheesecake any day. My husband is the opposite. He is a donut connoisseur, and although loves all donuts, has very strong opinions regarding apple fritters. His ultimate apple fritter experience was in Puerto Rico, and every apple fritter since has paled in comparison. We ventured into Jack's this past weekend, where there on the counter were (giant) samples of apple fritters. Oh. So. Good. For a donut master and a not-a-donut-girl, these were equally fantastic. Per the donut king, they didn't quite match up to the mythical Puerto Rican standard, but were pretty darn close. Also, the shop smells AMAZING, and the cheerful and helpful staff totally made my day by taking the time to patiently and thoroughly explain the inner workings of every donut in the case. read more

Walked in here randomly after going towards the State Capitol. It's pretty big for a doughnut shop. It's spacious. The woman that was working wasn't friendly so it made the experience a little uncomfortable. She seemed annoyed that I didn't tip her on a $1.35 donut and she didn't say a single word except "ok" after I paid. The donut was good. I got a vanilla frosting, jelly filled donut. It was nice and soft. The frosting wasn't too sweet and you can tell they made it themselves. The jelly was ok. Overall it was a good donut. It is in a convenient location so definitely recommend this place before going to work. read more

#nationaldonutday madness crept up in the office and my coworkers decided it was time to make a run down to the Circle for a free donut. We got down there and with no free donuts to be found, I remembered Jack's is just around the corner and we decided to brave the masses there. With a line crazily wrapping through the store, we were able to get in and out with a baker's dozen in just under 30 minutes. Our mix included plain glazed, chocolate iced cream filled, caramel iced, and strawberry jam donuts that looked similar to cinnamon rolls. Overall, the donuts were light and airy, and as someone who isn't a big fan of icing I appreciated the amount on the donuts as being appropriately sweet (I'm sweet enough, after all). My favorite was definitely the strawberry jam, and I look forward to trying the blueberry variety on my next visit. Although it was incredibly busy, the staff was super nice and pleasant, moving as quickly as possible while not making us feel rushed while making our decisions. I look forward to making every day my own personal donut day and visiting them in the future. read more

Is it fair to review a place on their opening day? It's debatable, but either way, it's important to keep that in mind. A coworker and I were happy to see Jack's finally opened so we adventured over around 9 am to get some donuts for the office. There were no other customers in the store, so we didn't have a wait, which was nice! The girl assisting us wasn't familiar with the donuts Jack's is known for carrying - like their PB&J, and seemed very confused the entire time. Overall, 1) She wasn't super friendly. Instead she seemed scared and confused. 2) She grabbed me a jelly donut, instead of a peanut butter because she was confused which was which. 3) She charged me for 6 individual donuts, instead of the 1/2 dozen price. 4) I got back to work to realize she messed up one of the donuts we asked for, and gave us an apple fritter instead of a cinnamon cake donut. After explaining about 3 different times that I was charged the individual donut price, versus half dozen price - the manager came out and insisted I take another donut for the trouble. It wasn't a big deal in price difference, I just wanted them to be aware so she knows for next time. But it was nice that he tried to correct the situation! Overall, it was a rough experience. But the donuts taste good, and I know it's their first day! Hoping the girls working the counter advance quickly! I'll certainly come back again and hope to be able to bump them up to a 4 or 5 star! read more

Jack's Donuts has a coupon offer on Groupon.com. As of 4/24/23. I purchased 2 coupons and went to Jack's Donuts at 135 W. Market St Indianapolis IN. I wanted to redeem 1 of my 2 coupons and the Sales Clerk said her Boss told her not to accept Groupon coupons anymore but yet they still have their lousy coupon deal up on Groupon. Donuts are good but the guy behind the counter is always so slow and so rude. I don't like feeling like I'm bothering you when I order. I got the half dozen and tried a variety of donuts and they were all delicious! I definitely recommend this place if you're a donut lover

The donuts are really good. I've been going to jacks for years. The selection was a little sparse. What really made me write the review was short patience when I'm asking what each donut was because none of them are labeled. Just want to make sure I know what I'm getting a lot of donuts look similar. The icing I'm the cake is all of our donuts were just thrown into a bag and they all stuck together at the icing so all of the icing came off our donuts. read more

Damn! I've been hearing about these donuts for months and finally tried them. I saw they had apple fritters in the reviews and I am a fiend for apple fritters. I figured I would get two donuts, but then I saw the enormous size of the fritter. If you put two of them together they would be the size of a human head and they would look a bit like a brain with the two hemispheres and the wrinkly exterior. I scaled back and order just one apple fritter. The apple fritter was fantastic. If you like apples, cinnamon, and anything in the pastry related genre you need to find Jacks! It was huge. I sat outside the shop at their tables and enjoyed the massive treat with my coffee. My daughter had a couple of chocolate glazed donuts and loved those. They have a cooler with milk and water. Coffee, of course. I have only been on weekend mornings and there have been two people working and no crowd, steady flow of customers, but never more than 2-3 in line. read more

I have tried a couple of times, but I am so sad that this just didn't do it for me. The service is always bad. It feels like I am inconveniencing the staff. Yesterday's service was the worst. Every time I asked what kind of donut this is she cocked her head as if I should know and spoke in a barely audible voice. Once she said, "Donut" rolling her eyes (it was plain). My husband and I both had Groupons and she acted like we were scum of the earth to come in with those. When she rang mine up I could not hear what she whispered. I asked her to repeat what she said. "You have to spend more!" Ok...what's my total? I got an iced coffee, which tasted generic, a "cinnamon roll", and a glazed donut. There just weren't many flavors available. The "cinnamon roll" tasted ever-so-faintly of cinnamon. The glazed donut was nothing special. My husband bought donut holes to take to his staff. I should have done the same. read more
